You could totally use that spud gun loop as a puzzle element in a future escape room. Where stopping and starting it could open and close a door, activate something else, etc. Just a thought I had, great vid!
the crash-a-pult could actually be a multiplayer monday challenge "who can launch themselves the farthest distance from start point, without use of thrusters for boost." or something like that.
6:30 it's called oscillating axle and it's real type of suspension used in for example tractors. It should have limiters so it doesn't go 360. It doesn't need any springs or anything like that
11:40 It's because a spud gun need 4 ticks to reload but the logic gates only have a 1 tick delay (there is 2 gates so a 2 tick delay total, assuming the spuds traveling to the button takes a negligible amount of time) so when the gun receives an input it is not reloaded. It is trying too shoot after 2 ticks when it should be 4.
for the crash-a-pult you should add a button and an and gate so when you are bouncing around you dont go flying until you hit the button AND hit a rock.
12:41 that can actually work as a sensor. If a player goes in between the spud guns it will stop the loop. Also this sensor can be way longer than 20 blocks.
The spud guns activating eachother could be used as a vanilla way to make security lasers. Once the logic gate pulsing is no longer detected alarms will go off. (You can possibly achieve that with sensors and a piston, each pulse of the gate pushes the piston higher to a row of sensors since it’s not a constant signal but close. And once it’s broken it drops Beneath the sensor. Kinda rookie methods but that’s the only way I can think of doing it, probably can be done with logic
Alternatively you could make a timed circuit. Then have a "receiver" system that simply checks if both are, if not, trigger the alarm. The circuit is a simple gate gate timer system. This leads into an XOR gate, which will activate, if the "tripwire" mechanism doesn't fire. The XOR leads into a self locking memory bit that activates the simple alarm gate gate timer circuit.
@@coltenwillers146 would that create a constant signal though? If I saw what you are referring to it would make more sense to me😂 I’m a lot more visual than communicational when it comes to mechanisms
@@spray_cheese Understandable. No it wouldn't, because the XOR gate would only send a signal, if one of the inputs (that are activating at the same tick) didn't trigger.
4:30 that's a Gama Goat without a middle axel xD i've made a couple of those. what you need to do is put a stopper down to prevent the bed from moving all the way.
There's a mod for BeamNG that adds a truck with a pivot in the middle like that, it's even more interesting because the driveshaft causes it to twist when you accelerate
that useless spudgun machine can be useful to build like finish line detector that can launch a fireworks or do things when the first finisher past it!
@12:45 DUDE... this could be used as a sensor system.. if any bot passes the spuds, its stopping, will activate a signal, alerting you of a border breech. telling you your being attacked from that side of your base.... It could also be used to activate other sensor system and automated defenses if tripped....
The second build is actually a lot like real life trucks. The frames on most trucks are made to be flexible to allow the front and back to bend very slightly.
Maybe use the crash-a-pult as a race idea for MM? Everyone build a car to race with, but has a rig setup to disconnect the seat. So a good suspension system or similar to overcome the issue?
I honestly think the crash-a-pult was the coolest out of all of them. Some of my greatest creations are my fully destructible planes (specifically my V2), where parts can fall off, engine can explode on heavy impacts, and there is a huge logic system for plane status and smart destruction (basically the whole plane body is a solid block of logic). I might make a realistic car where the doors can come off if hit hard enough, and the driver can fly out the windshield if you hit a wall at a fast enough speed.
With the crash-a-pult, when scrapman was driving around looking for rocks (or other things to hit) I just thought "scrapman, you could just build some obstacles yourself" 😂 really fun creation though ^^
you can fix the feedback loop you had with the segway by wiring the sensors to an or gate and wiring the or gate to the controller that controls the sensor angle and make the sensors tilt up whenever one of them triggers, i have done this multiple times and it REALLY helps
The catapulte car was my favourite. As usual scrapman another highly entertaining video. Please keep up the great work. Multi player Monday is the highlight of my week 🤠
Ok, 2 things, first, I feel like you could use logic to create a proximity sensor with the infinite useless machine by making it trigger something when the spud flow is interrupted. Second, the crashapult seems perfect for a scraplympics seat-put "as in shotput" event.
12:13 you could probably use the useless machine as a sort of laser gate. like if player walks through it it turns off but it activates something else. though i guess that would make the useless machine not as useless!
Last one is essentially an ejection seat. An Anti-Seatbelt, if you will. Now, what if you replaced the seat with an explosive canister and what if instead of just yeeting into nothing, you were yeeting a lot of them at, let's say hypothetically, a castle defended by kAN and Moonbo?
I have a really dumb fun idea for trailmakers multiplayer monday: De-evolution battle bots. You all start out by building extremely large, over engineered battlebots, with very high limits for power, blocks, weight etc. Then, after battling, everyone gets what's left of the winning bot to work with. I guess you might allow people to add like 5 parts per building session so you can't just all get stuck with no movement, but the idea is that the base you have to work with gets worse and worse each round. If the winner only has their chair left, then you would just repeat the round until the winner has a somewhat intact vehicle. You can decide the win condition.
0:47 merge suspension mugs!?!?!? What are you mad!? You could collapse the time space continuum! (Major props to whoever understands this reference first even though it's purposely incorrect)
That spudgun useless machine is, in essence, a light barrier. Which I realize people have already pointed out, apparently. Could use something like that to stop a lowering door / platform from squishing an unsuspecting person.
another note once you join the discord make sure that you level up a bit by talking so that you can actualy participate in the events. we our rank system setup so the server has the smallest chance to get raided, so like i said make sure to level up / check the requirements!
The so called 'useless machine' could infact be used for something, as youve shown as you walk through it, you stop it, so you could make a hypothetical tripwire, so that as long as its detected as being active whatever trap or alarm its connected to stays off. and as soon as someone walks through it all heck can break loose. Might be fun for an escape room in the future, have someone need to turn off the button to initially stop all the traps (but also lets them interact with other puzzle elements), wich it does but it blocks them in 1 room and they need to find a way to escape.
I feel like the truck had some ideas but maybe limit the back with ,vertical suspension that horizontally connects the the front with a bearing, on either side
I think the problem with the suspension mug gyroscope... thing... is that the weight should be below the central pivot point and not exactly ON it. If the initial concrete block was one space down and pipe was used at the pivot point/attach point, it would have been a lot better, I suspect.
that "infinite useless machine" could actually be quite useful, if you want to have a sort of goal or finish line. As soon as the threshold is crossed, the guns stop shooting and you have a goal or a finisher.
I have a use for the spudgun useless machine, since it shuts off when someone or something passes through it's a tripwire and depending on how far those shoot u could make a perimeter fence around a base
12:44 that's actually quite cool, its basically a light barrier, or a long distance sensor
Yea that's what I was thinking
they tried making a useless machine, but invented automatic doors instead

Exactly what I was thinking. Could be a trip wire type of thing
the crash-a-pult could actually be a multiplayer monday challenge "who can launch themselves the farthest distance from start point, without use of thrusters for boost." or something like that.
and instead of just a seat it needs to be a tiny car being launched!!!!! :D race crash aim land finish race in tiny car

The last one definitely needs to turn into a multiplayer moday challenge. Possibly another Olympics style challenge.
I was thinking the same thing. Put that on the back of a vehicle and then armor up the front. First person to launch all the others wins.
I love this new editing style
12:38 wait, this can be used as a sensor with bigger range.

On the Infinty Useless Machine, would be cool to weld them in a series but have the top spudgun angle to the next set. End up in a spiral loop..
26:10 I liked Crash-a-pult lol. My dog seemed to enjoy too for some reason haha.
He is so underrated he is one of the best youtubers to exist
@14:15 take the seat off, put an engine under the seat, then replace the seat, and connect it up... easy...

I really need to see more Crash-a-pults, maybe ones that look like normal vehicles
Crash-A-Pults are amazing. that little block in the front of the drawing was so it would work over taller obstacles but it still works anyway
