i guess you could just put a weight under the pendulum gyroscope stabilisation mug so it actually always stays the upside up :-)

I Built this in Trailmakers before and I had to have weight at the bottom, so yea, I was gonna say that.

The wedgewheelcar made me double over with laughter. I'd call that a success.
Once he had the huge wheel body done, I felt pretty good but once it started flopping, winner winner chicken dinner :D

So, one can create any block by using wedges. Those wedge bricks are the future!

4:01 similar issues i had. I tried to make a torque converter but it ended up being a perpetual motion motor becuz the screws i used squished the wheel.

Gyroscope mug: If you weighted down the third ring (from the outside) at the bottom it would help it stay upright. Right now it’s symmetrically balanced so it doesn’t work

Wedgegang is an actual...concept(?) IRL, for example when you work on 3D models most of the things are triangles of different sizes and legths, especially water with waves and stuff.
for that stavilization thing, to make it work even better, you should put metal 5 blocks on the bottom half of the vertical stabilizer
5:36 the reason why the last unpowered “gear” is slower than the powered “gear” is because of the gearing. The powered “gear” has 4 teeth and the unpowered “gear” has 8 teeth, and to find the gear ratio, you divide the number of teeth the driven gear(the unpowered gear, 8) has by the number of teeth the drive gear(the powered gear, 4), and 8/4 is 2 so it takes 2 rotations of the drive gear to rotate the driven gear
This goes for when you reversed it as well, the drive gear has 8 teeth and the driven gear has 4 teeth, and 4/8 is 1/2 so it will take 1/2 a rotation of the drive gear to rotate the driven gear
According to the drawing he was also supposed to power the last wheel/gear, not the first one.

Either if you made the wedge wheels thicker by adding more layers to each one or incorporating the block wedge tactic from earlier in the video, you could probably make "wedge gang" tires work. Maybe even take it a step further and construct an n-gon using a number of triangles to make a passable wheel.

With the one around 4:30 you could add suspension pushing the wheels into the pipes

5:03 the fact that he powered the other side wheel instead of the wheel that was labelled powered really triggered me

Stabilized mug should have something heavy like concrete 3 at the bottom of inner ring to make it rotate like it should. When weight is evenly distributed it doesn't have single equilibrium point with mug pointing up

At 5:50, the last gear may be waay slower then the first one but has the same force so you didn't reduce the power you converted it

1. Each of you asks the community for a couple drawings.
2. After that each of you selects 2 of them which would kind of work at least.
3. Then another player is choosen randomly and needs to build one of the cars and race with it.
This series is really fun

For the gear system:
Big to small makes speed while small to big makes torque and the same size probably makes torque than speed

AFAIR Reid Capitain (which prob y'all never heard of) built several gear systems in Scrap Mechanic (as well as many other games), so he surely had found a way to make more stable reduction gears

Helicopter race in scrap mechanic( going through, over, under opicals). Helicopter evolution in trail makers
What about a completely different challenge: you don't build vehicles at the start and have to run to the finish BUT you allowed to use ANYTHING to get advantage from dragging a wall in front of other players to even making a small car (but creations you make cannot be taken on lift) that will take some time but give you a huge advantage if other players didn't build a wall of explosives!
I think it would be a refreshing experience
Between this video and the Attack Track, Scrap Mechanic devs really should consider adding proper cogwheels.

the stabilising mug gyroscope thing needs weights at the bottom of each rectangle so it always returns to upright. Great idea though

You can make wedges into bricks, but you can’t turn bricks into wedges
the geared wheel thing was built correctly but the wrong wheel was powered because the bigger wheel rotates less than the smaller one, so if you powered the big wheel first the smaller one can rotate almost 3 times before the big one rotates once (depending on the size of the wheels).
let's say you have a go kart and the gearing is 30-1, the smaller gear rotates 30 times before the big one rotates once (this is off the top of my head if this is incorrect please feel free to correct me)
i love the chassis on that wedge-wheeled car. weels could use more work...

You could make tank treads out of tires by doing that weave pattern and putting bearings in between them but it might kill your computer

Finally i can actually get behind wedge gang usually it just annoys me but Finally I think wedge gang may just be for me assuming of course that it consists of master pieces such as that car and not the pretentiousness of basicly all previous mentions of wedge gang
Well, hey now, the wedge-powered car delivered on it's promises. Also, the "1 block at a time" wedge placement means Scrapman gets *some* credibility for his original wedge car. That must have taken "watching paint dry" levels of patience to arrange.
For the inverted wedge gang car, did you try an engine for each wheel with eletric?

the wheel and pipe thing would work, if you powered the other one, in fact you can condense it down and make a sort of gearbox, i have on emade out of lego right next to me right now,, so just flip the power source and if physics work it should go faster, and its all controlled by circumference
