RESPECT but POPE OF GREENWICH VILLAGE is hands down his BEST performance...
I would say Angel Heart in my opinion as it was his most dramatic role from what I’ve seen, but I like The Pope of Greenwich Village better in terms of story. The Pope of Greenwich Village is actually my favorite film and Angel Heart coming in second. Then a bunch of movies without Rourke being in 3,4, and 5.
I’d put The Wrestler at #1; easily one of the best performances EVER. Barfly would be my 2nd, and then Angel Heart. Rounding out the top5 I’d probably have Homeboy and Rumble Fish.
Mickey at his best is the best ever (in terms of Hollywood leading actors), most likely!

I think Desperate Hours is very under rated. Johnny Handsome should be higher. The Wrestler Should be first followed by Angel Heart. Sin City is Fantastic and for me Iron Man 2 and Harley and Malboro are guilty pleasures.

Agreed to No 1, not so much to No 2. Year of the Dragon and Spun are missing, would have removed Bullet and 9,5. Not to forget his scene stealer parts in Rainmaker, Animal Factory or The Pledge.
Not a fantastic list. Bullet, Johnny Handsome and Homeboy are atrocious movies. Diner and Year Of The Dragon are mandatory inclusions. Then the last one should be either A Prayer For The Dying or Body Heat.
