And props to Vincent Gallo... the ONE guy in the 90's who recognized rourke as a fantastic actor and put him in a film. Not a big role, but still. It couldn't have been farther away from his 80's career.... he had already past being a hollywood joke... even the joke was forgotten by then. Good job vince. And good job rourke.
I'm glad u said that because there's an interview of mickey by gallo i think... and they don't show gallos face but it sounds like him. Mickey has loki with him wearing i think a t shirt with stripes or whatnot. Its been taken off UA-cam but its his best interview. Do u know which one im talking about?
Yea. Buffalo 66. I'd heard of it by word of mouth then i saw it. I almost choked on my food when i saw mickey. A lotta guys like Pitt and Penn and Depp have said Mickey was their influence in film.
Anyone who loves dogs that much has to have a good heart. I lost my baby girl last month and it's so incredibly touching to hear Mickey talk about his dogs in this way. I love (never past-tense) my dog more than any person I've ever known, and losing her was far more difficult than losing a human family member. I don't feel like I'll ever be okay again, but seeing Mickey up there gives me a little hope.
so genuine geuine, almost breaks into tears over his dog then calls people out on bs n' doesnt give shit when he cant remember there names, lol love it !
didn't realise but Eric Roberts got an Oscar nom for Runaway Train. Someone was maybe listening to this because he got a few decent roles after, Expendables, Dark Knight etc
He was on the same destructive path for years. He cleaned up and works so much now that he’s known for taking more roles than almost anyone in film and tv. His repairing of his relationships with his sister Julia and daughter also helped him
And man, was he good in TDK! But then again, many where in that superb movie, totally driven by the legendary performance of the late, GREAT Heath Ledger.
I love Eric Robert’s. His performance in best of the best, when he spoke about how martial arts was all he was good at you could really honestly feel that he was using something so passionately so personal that was something in there that it just resonated in that scene I love his work
Brilliant speech Mickey. Especially your tribute to your dog who had died 6 days ago, I was still curled up in bed crying 6 days after losing mine. And the quip about the LAPD telling you to fuck off, so funny.
The man obviously has his demons who doesn't ...I'm still intrigued by this guy such a talent and that speech in Expendables man out of all movies, plus please stick Micky in a comedy he is so funny
I think Mickey does this “I wanna thank my dog who died” thing just so ladies go “aaaaaawwwwnn” then it gets easier to get them to bed. The man goes back long time, he aint stupid.
