I used Bare Minerals until my 40's and then went to IT CC Cream + SPF 50. Then I started using Laura Geller for my no make-up look!! Laura geller looks much better on my older almost 60 skin!!
I used Estes Lauder way back when I could afford it! Then I did go to Bare Minerals. After I retired and I am now 74, I use CC Cream. Tinted moisturizer and feel good about the even color on my skin. I have thought about LG and may try the foundation to compare. It sounds great. Although I am a Senior lady, I am fortunate to have very good skin, no smoking, no sun bathing and no drinking in my life and I always wear sunscreen. Thanks for your video. This is great!
I gave up Bare Minerals about 20 years ago- when I was about your age. It looked heavy, powdery, and caked. The only powder products I use now is LG- still looks good on my 72yo skin.
I used Bare Minerals until I noticed skin changes from aging & menopause (I’m 56). Now I use Laura Geller because of less settling into lines & wrinkles. I love Laura Geller Baked Balance & Brighten!
Thank you for doing this video. It's interesting to see the two foundations at the same time, as I've long wondered how LG compares to BM. I've been using Bare Minerals for probably 22, maybe close to 24 years, if I think about it for too long. 😊 Remember when they were called Bare Escentuals? It's amazing how similar the two foundations look, and I think you looked great in both. If I had to choose, I'd pick BM. I think the BM looks like there's a filter, or that it was air brushed on; it just looks softer. If we weren't comparing the two, LG would look very good. I'm combo skin, and for shine control, I use Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, which I LOVE!! Thank you for taking the time to share. ❤
I used BM for many years until my 60’s. After that I started noticing the BM was settling badly into my fine lines and creases - with primer and without. I tried several liquid foundations with the same result. About a year ago, I decided to try LG and game changer! No settling at all!
I used to use Bare Minerals and liked it, but it began to settle into my lines and wrinkles far too quickly as I aged. Now, in my late 60s I use Laura Geller. It DOES NOT MOVE on my face, even after 8 or 9 hours. And they have amazing sales so the price great and and that is also important to me. I wish LG would come up with something just as magical for the cold New Hampshire winters - something more hydrating but still easy and minimal. I use the LG Spackle product and am happy with that as well.
New subscriber here! I have never used LG but am going to! I think both sides look great but prefer the LG side-you look gorgeous & especially your skin. Love your decor too! I am 51 & have used Bare Minerals, but don’t care for the loose powders-they irritate my nose & eyes so now I can’t wait to try the LG! 🙏
I used Bare Minerals for many years and loved it but got tired of the powder mess. I use many Laura Geller products now and I love them. I do have some trouble blending in the foundation and I feel it looks ok until I go outside and then it’s too visible. I prefer the BM on you, but I think you look best without either one. Your skin is beautiful. My favorite foundation is Jane Iredale; there are several formulations and I think they are top quality.
Hi there, I think both products did the job! Good results from both, feel that the Laura Geller had a better result. I have recently bought the Laura Geller make up myself, pleased with it.
I used Bare Minerals until I hit 60. It just wasn't working for me any longer. I switched to LG and I'm in love with it. My 93 year old Mom was totally impressed and asked me to order some for her. I went to a medical appointment and my Doctor said " You look so pretty" Not because I had a CLAY face but it looks natural and my skin tone is even when I use the LG foundation. ❤ Black Friday prices were incredible and I stocked up😂
Both sides look great. I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.
In my 8th decade, Laura Geller baked does not sink into wrinkles, I use the LG primer too as my elder skin is quite dry. I like the LG, it seems more natural, they both seem to hold up well.
Laura Geller side gives you a more, warmer natural tone to your complexion gorgeous. Bare minerals side just looks pale without any warmth. I too have oily and also sensitive skin. I too had been wearing bare minerals for many many years I'm 55yrs old. I only discovered LG a month ago and started wearing her brand the baked balance n brighten and I love it. It made such a difference, it evens out my skin tone it gives great natural coverage, my skin doesn't become oily during the course of my day like it would if I'd worn BM I really love LG now I have the bronzer and blush oooh and the full coverage foundation as well their all great.
The Bare Minerals has never worked for me, and even when an associate in their store applied it on me she couldn't get it to apply nicely. As others noted it does cling to dry spots and settles into wrinkles accentuating them. That's never happened to me with Laura Geller. I've been using her baked products for over 20 years and still love the way they blend out all the tines on my face. I'm 65 yo and have rosacea - it is gentle, covers well, and looks fresh even after 8-10 hours. I'm a Geller Girl!
@theresaRD - I just found your channel and am enjoying it! I'm in my 7th year of living keto and like the variety of topics on your channel. Happy New Year!!
I like the Bare Minerals side. I thas a healthy look to it & seems to hide any pores or any imperfections. It also has a little bit of a glow to it and doesn't look dry or powdery at all!
I used Bare Minerals for years. Then I looked at my face in my rear view mirror, and realized it was noticeably sunk into my lines. Switched to liquid for a few years, then tried Laura Geller out of curiosity. It doesn't sink into my lines at all! And it's been many years since I gave up BM, so I imagine my lines are even deeper now.
I have tried Mary Kay, Bare Minerals and Laura Geller. I was out with my cousin and she commented on my skin and how beautiful it was. I had Laurel Geller on. Which I love.
LG for the win, but really you look great on both sides. I have used several including Laura Geller, I like the glow LG gives me. I also use Jane Iredale's powder foundation and enjoy that one, with all of them you do have to prep your skin well so the powder doesn't look cakey or settles into fine lines. Using setting spray helps with any powder foundation. You look great!!
Loved this review as I do use both regularly. Bare minerals I enjoy and find more buildable, but Laura Geller is quick and gives a nice finish with less product❣️
I used B.M. 20 years ago and L.G. 10 years ago. I am 67 now and my skin just felt so dry so I prefer hydrating skin tint. But on YOUR skin, the Bare Minerals side looks flawless in my opinion. I have so much makeup, I look like a hoarder, lol.
I was so curious about this!! Bareminerals original foundation & well rested concealer are my makeup staples. I started to use sunless tanner on my face and my friend gave me an extra Laura Geller foundation in medium to try out. I was shocked at how similar it wears compared to my Bareminerals! BM settles into my fine lines way less than any other complexion product. The only drawback from the Laura Geller is the reallllllly poor shade range. Either way, gotta pick Laura Geller in terms of how well it wears, blends, ease of use, portability!!! But I’m glad to see someone else found these two products to be as similar as I did!!
More people need to try Nude by Nature! It’s the best mineral powder foundation…. Looks like nothing is on! I am 50 by the way and it never settles in creases. Highly recommend if you’re looking for powder
They both look great!! But, agree Laura Geller looks better I have used BareMinerals for years and just recently started using Laura Geller I honestly love both but I have noticed Laura Geller looks more natural and lasts longer I don’t like a lot of makeup and it gives me more of my skin but better look
I used Bare Minerals when I was younger. Bare Minerals did not work on my aging skin. I haven't tried Laura Geller yet but I plan to soon. Thanks 4 the video
At beginning they both looked great. After wearing the Laura G looked better. I am 66 and use Laura Gellar products and love them including her lipsticks. I don't have any issues of drying or going into fine lines with her products.
I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.
LARA GELLER's side seems to have light from within glow and does not appear as heavy as Bare Minerals. Thanks, I was considering Bare Minerals, but now I will try L.G. I like powder foundation. It is so much easier and has a natural sunscreen in it.
I like lg as I cannot make bm work….always looks like my pores are huge. No mater how much I buffffff still looks like orange skin. But I love bm bronzer warmth.
I used Bare Minerals in my 40 too, eventually used their cream. Now I am 71 I swear by Laura Geller, I don't like a heavy foundation but you can apply more layers for better coverage. I have always ha combination skin
When Bare Minerals was first launched several years ago, I went to Sephora and had a makeup artist apply it on my face. I bought the starter kit and really liked the way it made my skin look, natural but provided coverage. I also liked the quick, easy application . Now at age 68, I haven't worn a powder foundation for years.
I just turned 54 last week. I tried Laura geller but the color is too dark or oxidizes on me because every time I wear it I get asked if I got some sun. I thought bare minerals was messy so I wanted to love the Laura G but frustrating ordering online and not getting the color to work. I think both sides look good on you.
Laura Geller will take returns. Also they will help with the shade. I did fair then light. The light is too dark and I do look as if I got some sun. I will go back to fair or may even try porcelain.
I used Bare Minerals years ago, but it always made my cheeks itch slightly. I found out I am allergic to an ingredient in Bare Minerals. Go figure with something that is so pure. I use Laura Geller now and I love it!!!
At 77 I use MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. I used to use BM.. then LG. Finally found MAC and it’s all I’ve used for years. I think it’s application, because liquid foundation is the WORST at settling into lines. If you use a setting spray, powder foundation is incredible and long wearing. Would never switch to liquid.
Not a huge difference, but I think the Laura Geller side has a very nice sheen or dewie look that I like. I’ve never tried either, but have been tempted as I prefer a more natural look. I just celebrated 60 and often do not wear makeup or just use a little concealer as I work from home, but am always looking for holy grail products as I do still travel a bit and have business meetings, etc.
At start, I say BM (looked to be better coverage and creamier complexion) after 6 hours LG (coverage seemed better). Truthfully though not a lot of difference on video. In person, probably you had a more distinct comparison. I just bought LG in 2 types, not as rosy as I had hoped. Do you find the primer makes much of a difference? I am so low maintenance, so wish to avoid spending on something that doesn't really make much of a change in who application looks overall.
I’m 57 years old with all dry skin. I really wanted a o like Laura Geller’s but it never worked for me. I tried it a few times. Bare Minerals however, works beautifully, even in the winter months here in New York.
Me too! I'm in upstate NY and have been using Bare minerals since it came on the market. I tried Laura Gellar and find it way too drying on my skin. I guess the key is finding what works with your own personal chemistry. ☺
Bare minerals needs to be applied out edges of face then buff towards the center . Per the infomercial BM put outcyears ago it was demonstrated that way. I like your buffing brush!
I have used both products for years, my choice depends on how much time I have. I use BM well rested concealer, it’s the best. Both sides look good on you. I’m 69.
I can’t see a difference, yes a little settling. Both looks great. 72 yo & began w BMin yrs ago, original powder. For some reason I couldn’t get good results & likely it was my error. Broken capillaries, age spots, Melasma, oily skin, sweat profusely. I’ve settled on LG. I simply apply it easier & faster, seems coverage is more concentrated. I use the Baked Glow on my mature dull skin. It’s gorgeous, no off-putting shine. Seems ppl are afraid to use the Glow but it looks natural. With oily skin I’ve stopped trying to layer products under makeup. It makes a mess, products roll up like bits of newspaper. I use LG SPF Tinted Moisturizer, LG concealer. The Baked Foundation Glow-on eyelids, undereye, I can’t mess this up. I don’t even need a mirror. And, for 50 some odd yrs I thought I was Medium. Not. By phone an LG rep chose Fair, she was correct. I’m stuck on Laura Geller.
Just found you and enjoyed this video! Going to catch up on your previous ones. Can you let me know what brand and color of nail polish you are wearing? Thanks in advance.
You look good in both. I used to use BM when I was younger but as I got older and my skin got drier (I’m 70) it didn’t work well. Now I love LG balance & brighten but not the foundation with the glow. I use many of her products and think her kajal tubing mascara is incredible.
Bare Minerals was a great product for me in my 40's going into 50's. But now that I'm 60, LG works a lot better. With that said, my old "no makeup" makeup routine is a bit more extensive. Primarily, advanced pre-prepping of skin morning and night is necessary to keep my face at its best to receive the makeup coverage.
I only wear Laura Geller, as it’s the only things that looks good on my 54 year old skin. I have dry skin and everything else settles into the dry areas and my wrinkles. My makeup is VERY light at this stage in my life. I’ve determined that the light makeup while still being able to tell I’m 54 looks better than the caked on look some older women do that doesn’t look good at all.
I’m 68 and Laura Geller is my go to!
I used Bare Minerals until my 40's and then went to IT CC Cream + SPF 50. Then I started using Laura Geller for my no make-up look!! Laura geller looks much better on my older almost 60 skin!!
Thank you for sharing, Natalie! 💜
72 yo, same here! 🌸
❤OMG…I had the EXACT same journey 😊
Same here….
I stopped using B Minerals in my 40’s because it settled into my fine lines. I’m def going to try L Geller! Thank you!!

Laura Geller looks the best.I used bare minerals when I was in my 30s and 40s but I’ve changed to Laura Geller it looks better on my skin.
The Laura Geller side is a clear winner for me but both sides look great !
Thank you, Debbi! 🥰
Thank you for doing this video. It's interesting to see the two foundations at the same time, as I've long wondered how LG compares to BM. Another vote for Laura Geller. I’m 76, and I’ve been a fan for a very long while.

Thank you. Been wanting to try Laura Geller. You have any suggestions.
Hi Terri! I would maybe start with their baked balance and brighten powder foundation 💕
They both look pretty similar initially but for the last look definitely LG
Thank you, Kelli! 💕
I used Bare Minerals for many years and loved it but got tired of the powder mess. I use many Laura Geller products now and I love them. They both look really good! I'm glad you did this because I am seriously considering trying the LG.
Hope you like it!
@@theresaRD I do too! I told my husband I want it for Christmas.
Actually, in my opinion, you look best with no makeup. You look younger and your skin is beautiful.
Thank you 😊

loks awful. have your eyes examined
Thanks for sharing!! 💕
I love LG on my mature skin! A primer is essential for a nice finish.
Thanks for sharing 😊
I’m 70 and have used Bare Minerals over 20 years. Recently I bought some Laura Gellar. I like both, but feel like the BM gives me more coverage.
Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth! 💕
I have tried Mary Kay, Bare Minerals and Laura Geller. I was out with my cousin and she commented on my skin and how beautiful it was. I had Laurel Geller on. Which I love.

Thank you, Lari! I will have to try Jane Iredale. And next time I will remember to use primer 🤦♀️💜
Loved this review as I do use both regularly. Bare minerals I enjoy and find more buildable, but Laura Geller is quick and gives a nice finish with less product❣️
I totally agree! Thanks for watching 🥰
I used B.M. 20 years ago and L.G. 10 years ago. I am 67 now and my skin just felt so dry so I prefer hydrating skin tint. But on YOUR skin, the Bare Minerals side looks flawless in my opinion. I have so much makeup, I look like a hoarder, lol.

Years ago I used Bare Minerals. I now use Laura Geller with Spackle.
More people need to try Nude by Nature! It’s the best mineral powder foundation…. Looks like nothing is on! I am 50 by the way and it never settles in creases. Highly recommend if you’re looking for powder
I will have to give that a try! 💜
I agree with you, Laurel Geller side is much better.
They both look great!! But, agree Laura Geller looks better
I have used BareMinerals for years and just recently started using Laura Geller
I honestly love both but I have noticed Laura Geller looks more natural and lasts longer
I don’t like a lot of makeup and it gives me more of my skin but better look

LG is what I use and love.
Definitely the Bare minerals side,I think the colour is better😊
Thank you for watching and sharing, Alison! 🥰
Used to use the bare minerals and then discovered the LG and never looked back. Have now been using the LG for about 20 years.
I am really enjoying them! Thanks for watching, Leslie! 🥰
I used Bare Minerals when I was younger. Bare Minerals did not work on my aging skin.
I haven't tried Laura Geller yet but I plan to soon.
Thanks 4 the video
It sounds like you're ready to give it a try, I hope you like it, Debby! 💕
At beginning they both looked great. After wearing the Laura G looked better. I am 66 and use Laura Gellar products and love them including her lipsticks. I don't have any issues of drying or going into fine lines with her products.
Thanks for sharing, Sandra! I will have to try the lipsticks! 💄❤️

I liked Bare Minerals better until the final check in and then the Laura Geller looked better, so I guess it has the best lasting power.
Thanks for watching and sharing 💕

Hi Tricia! I typically don’t wear much foundation anymore either, I have been embracing my natural skin! Thanks for watching and sharing 💕
I used BM for years then stopped. I recently went back to it and also use LG. At 52 I do not have wrinkles. I feel like LG is creamier and better.
Thanks, Melinda 🥰
I tried the Laura Geller in 2 different shades. One was too light and the other was too dark. It was also very dry on my skin. 😊😊
Interesting, thank you for sharing, Kathleen! 💕

I use mineral powder foundation from Pure Anada - I like the natural coverage and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin 😊
I use Bare Minerals and Laura Geller. Laura Geller wins hands down!!
Thanks, Sally! 💕
Both look pretty similar. I've never had a problem with BM 'settling" in. I still prefer Bare Minerals.
Laura Geller always looks orange on me - have tried different colors. I'm back to Bare Minerals.
Bare Minerals is nice 💕! Thanks Rebecca
I used Bare Minerals years ago, but it always made my cheeks itch slightly. I found out I am allergic to an ingredient in Bare Minerals. Go figure with something that is so pure. I use Laura Geller now and I love it!!!
Glad you discovered it and love it! And thanks for sharing 💕
I’m thinking of trying LG but I have dry skin. Would it be too drying for me? Anyone? Both look beautiful on you by the way!
I don’t have dry skin, but I have heard great reviews on it from many people who do 😊
At 77 I use MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. I used to use BM.. then LG. Finally found MAC and it’s all I’ve used for years. I think it’s application, because liquid foundation is the WORST at settling into lines. If you use a setting spray, powder foundation is incredible and long wearing. Would never switch to liquid.
I will have to try the MAC! 🥰
My favorite powder foundation is MAC!
I will have to try that! ❤️
Both look very pretty but personally I like the bare minerals side
Thank you, Jane! 💜

hi. I like the Bare Minerals color. I use Laura Geller, sometimes it is too intense. Cheers
Thanks for sharing, Laura!
L.G definitely more dewy with that Glow we all love….
At start, I say BM (looked to be better coverage and creamier complexion) after 6 hours LG (coverage seemed better). Truthfully though not a lot of difference on video. Hi Susan, I am not sure how much of a difference the primer makes, but I need to try it some more to have a better opinion. Thank you for watching! 💕
Love Laura Geller. All I’ll use now. 67 yo

@@AnnMarieBurke-bj8dj agree 💯
They both look good. But, I'd say the Laura Geller side is better.
Have you ever tried the MUFE Powder Foundation?? It's great!
No, I haven’t!
Bare minerals needs to be applied out edges of face then buff towards the center . Per the infomercial BM put outcyears ago it was demonstrated that way. I like your buffing brush!
Thanks for the info! 💕
I find Laura Geller gets orange as the day goes on. Bare minerals I my favorite. I've been using it for years. I'm 57
Thanks for watching and sharing! 💕
I have used both products for years, my choice depends on how much time I have. I use BM well rested concealer, it’s the best. Both sides look good on you. I’m 69.
Thank you, Ingrid! 🥰
Love this! Thank you for sharing 💕
Agree with u for the same reason u said. However both still look good!
Thank you 💕
Your very pretty the makeup looks great 😊❤
Thank you so much, Debra! And thank you for watching 🥰
@@theresaRD your welcome 😊💞
You have beautiful skin with nothing on but I think laura geller, it looks more natural
Thanks Carla! 😊
Just found you and enjoyed this video! Going to catch up on your previous ones. Can you let me know what brand and color of nail polish you are wearing? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! I know the nail color is Sally Hanson Insta Dri-I will double check the color when I get home! 🩶
The shade is “grease lightning”
@@theresaRD Thank you.
Laura gellar always oxidises and goes orange on my fair skin much prefer bare minerals totally reliable
Interesting, thank you for sharing, Heather! 🥰
I love Laura Geller
I was thinking Of tryng Laura Gellar, Im just so tired of standing in front of thé mirror for 30 minutes before going out.
Give it a try! Although My everyday look is to not use foundation at all. Thanks for watching, Lisa! 💕
LG hands down. I quit using BM at least 15 years ago. My daughter in her 40’s uses BM. I think it looks cakey.
i may be wrong but doesn't Bare Minerals have better ingredients in it? I think LG has talc and silicons in it.
Laura Geller side looks the best.
Thanks, Barbara! 🩷
I like both but i like Geller side better.
Thanks for watching, Jennifer! 💕
The laura geller side looks best
Thank you, Ruth! 💕
You look good in both. I used to use BM when I was younger but as I got older and my skin got drier (I’m 70) it didn’t work well. Now I love LG balance & brighten but not the foundation with the glow. I use many of her products and think her kajal tubing mascara is incredible.
Thanks for sharing, Jackee! 💕
Thanks for watching and sharing, Caroline! 🥰
Hands down Laura Geller looks the best
Thanks, Joanne 💜
I only wear Laura Geller, as it’s the only things that looks good on my 54 year old skin. I have dry skin and everything else settles into the dry areas and my wrinkles. My makeup is VERY light at this stage in my life. I’ve determined that the light makeup while still being able to tell I’m 54 looks better than the caked on look some older women do that doesn’t look good at all.
Love that! Thanks for watching 💕
I have tried both products and I love bareMinerals. I’m 63 years old.
Thank you for sharing! 💕
I love Bare Minerals but don't like the mess so maybe I'll try LG next time.
Let me know what you think! Thanks for watching, Lisa! 💕
Were you given free Laura Geller products to review, Theresa?
Hi Heather! No, everything I have used I purchased myself. Thanks for watching 💕
Laura Geller side for sure.
Thanks, Joann! 💕
Love Laura Geller products so much better than Bare Minerals! Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching ❤️
They both look good but Laura G. looks a touch better. Thank you for posting. Most days I don't use make-up. It is good to know.😊
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Bare Minerals is my choice
Thank you, Sheri! 💕
The LG side looks more like you just naturally have a great, healthy complexion. The BM side looks like makeup, if that makes sense.
That's a great way to put it! Thanks for watching ! 💕
Laura Geller
Laura Gellar!!!
Thanks 😊
