I've always wondered if it hurt him because of his condition. In general I think he really improved in making his screams more varied with lower growls, he seems to have more technique than before

It's crazy how Corpse has been saying that he listened to BMTH when he was younger and now he's literally making a collab with them. The instrumental part really gives me a lot of Suicide Season vibes. Corpses screams are truly insane, Oli's Sempiternal-type of scream is giving me goosebumps
there are a Lot of collabs that start like that, and it's always so wholesome and fun when people get to make music with people they grew up on. like when Billie Eilish had Justin Bieber on bad guy. i wish i had a better example but still

@@AliKat831 I think that on Sempiternal, his voice was already ruined. I think that Count Your Blessings caused the biggest damage. But maybe you're right and that might be why he doesn't do that anymore

Nah they finished the quests the aide quests and now became NPC’s of the best kind helping out new fellow adventurers.
And they covered almost all the Easter eggs too.
Nah their side question was going soft and mainstream to fill the role of Lincoln Park, that is being the gateway to metal. Now that they have done that, they are going back to the main storyline of being heavy!

I love how Corpse's laugh is becoming a signature at the end of his songs. He ended Daywalker, Poltergeist and Never Satisfied the same way.
To hear the voice that used to tell me creepypastas/true scary stories to sleep, now singing and screaming along with one of my childhood fave bands makes me just wanna yell the biggest "YES" of all time.

I don’t listen to Corpse like I used when he blew up, but man his screams have gotten so much better. This is the best they’ve sounded.
I think the mixing on this song is perfect. It literally sounds like Bring Me and Corpse mixed together. They did the same thing with Kingslayer.
The synths and general instrumentation reminds me a lot about Heavy Metal (the one track on Amo that got a ton of hate, although I personally found it to go hard), but this easily runs circles around it.

@@GabrielXDrums I realized recently that releasing Amo was actually kind of a genius move for their career. I don't know if they intended it to be somewhat of a throwaway album, but coming out with Amo and bringing in the poppier fans is what allows them to do whatever the fuck they want now and not get any hate. If they come out with emo/poppier stuff, they have the Amo fanbase to appease and now that they're making heavy stuff again the old fans are losing their minds. Oli is playing 6d chess with BMTH since Amo and we were never prepared, at this point they can't do any wrong musically
This song is insane! BMTH deathcore mixed with the corpse style is amazing , could be a side project on ita own haha the new Kim Dracula is also awesome.

BMTH has arguably, if not easily, been the best metal/rawr/rock/wtf-ever you wanna call it band in the game since 'amo' dropped. They completely turned the corner into being able to do EVERYthing better than just about everyone, then these collabs have just been fucking insane as of late. And I know more and more is to come. Cannot fukkin' wait!!

Every Deathcore/Metalcore band can do something like "this is what the edge" or "count your blessings" but they can’t do something like Sempiternal, That’s The Spirit, Amo and Post Human. The only band who did it best was Linkin Park but rn BMTH is just the best.

@@angelashinner well i didnt originaly hate his music it just wasnt my taste, but my friend would play his songs 24/7 whenever he had the speaker and that made me kinda hate his music. But as I said I listened to this song without any bias and it kinda changed my opinion on his style.

While it's always fun to hear people always do the Corpse impression whenever they collab, it's also fun to hear people scream for extended time when doing a BMTH collab.
See: Halsey with "Experiment on Me." Can confirm, they can RIP live, and deff got encouragement from Jordan and Oli when they were helping with that track.
A collab I didn't know we needed, but will be enjoyed for years.
Corpse did these kinds of screams before but man i still thought it was Oli screaming from the first time ive heard it, its so good, His screams sounds so good on a metal setting.
I could listen to a whole album of this, Corpse and BMTH is such a sick mix.

Always knew the dude could fit within the metal music scene so well if he wanted to, and metal has been becoming more appreciated by wider audiences lately so not all that surprised by a collab like this. Rap has always gone well with metal, but maybe its something I think as someone who grew up on nu metal and never lost the love for the heavier less fred durst-y bands from that era.
This was amazing and I am so happy for Corpse for getting a chance to collab with BMTH. Corpse stated multiple times in the past that his voice got as deep as it is as a result of a medical condition he has (he always had a deep voice but in the last few years or so it had gotten deeper because of the medical condition). He also has other medical conditions that he deals with on a daily basis. It doesn't stop him from doing what he loves but it does limit him at times.
I'm so happy that Corpse and BTH has finally done a collab together. This song is just amazing too.

You said it best, but it's really fun to see trap metal and metal intersect like this. You could see the influence of rock and metal on the trap scene and then some of them even started to incorporate screams and metal instrumentals into their tracks (which was SICK by the way), but the two scenes still felt separated by something. Hopefully this opens the door, because I think that shit's FUN.

I love how bring me is so similar to their audience too like I watched corpse on yt and watch anime and listen to Japanese bands including baby metal and it's awesome to see a band that relates to their fans in not only the messaging in their songs but it's obvious the media they consume, just adds a layer of personality and connectivity between the band and audience

I've been following and listening to Corpse and BMTH for a good amount of time. BMTH is my second favorite band and on one of Corpse's streams he answered a subscriber about a singer or band he wanted to Collab. He said Oliver Sykes would be a great collaboration and make a song with Oliver was his dream. I'm happy he achieved that!!! Both of them are just amazing ppl and I'm sending all my love to them.

The alternative rap and metal scenes are coming closer together and it really is a dream come true. I am 20 now so I grew up and got into music when the emo, late stages of nu metal, and underground alternative types of rap were big. Late elementary into middle school I was getting into Tech N9ne, The Deftones, System of a Down, etc. Now today I am spoiled with crossovers like this between Corpse and BTMH as well as artists like Sleep Token and especially Kim Dracula who mix all my favorite niche musical styles together. I mean Kim mixes up Metalcore, Deathcore, Nu Metal, Power Metal, etc with Jazz, Alternative Hip Hop, and even some older pop. Hearing him go from soaring high power metal notes, deathcore growling breakdowns, utilizing his dexterity and vocal fry control to go from rapping in that very low hardcore style Corpse popularized, then going into fast screamed raps, hitting thrash metal riffs, and a drum solo all in the span of one song on "Seventy Thorns" that shit sold me. The metal, rock, hip hop, prog, and even the jazz scenes right now are utterly thriving and it inspires the hell out of me.

I only watched Corpse because of Ironmouse (vtuber), holy fuck those screams gave me life what the actual fuck.

What an amazing time to be alive. The last few years have been not so great and life didn't have a spark anymore. But with all my favorite bands coming back doing hard shit, I feel like life has color again.
