*That chorus is overpowered, I like*
So is Desolate Spectre :D
This and teardrops have the catchiest choruses
@@chandraabudiman those 2 and Obey. I can’t decide my favorite it’s too tough 😭😭😭
@@patrickstar6247 now that u mentioned it, gosh yea obey chrous is catchier than teardops
I Can’t stop listening to it.. chorus gets stuck in my head...Got a MIW vibe .
Have literally played this song like 50 times today. That chorus is everything a chorus should be
Agree. Definitely the best song of the EP with Parasite Eve
@@enricopaoletti5650 what’s a ep
Totally agree. What a banger
Lol me too. This chorus is the best in the EP
Same here, played it the whole time I was at the gym 😂
I'm now convinced the B in BMTH is short for Bangers
Bangers Me The Horizon
Bangers Man, They Heavy
Bang me to horizon
Brizzle Mizzle Tha Horizzle
@@john23del 😂😂
I've love the fact that they've reached a state where "Fuck it, we'll do whatever we want whenever we want".
You can literally expect a deathcore song and a classic ballad the next day
This comment is so frikkin right
God you aren't wrong. They just give no fucks of genre standards at this point and I respect
BMTH is at it's best unchained by genre
"Need a break from getting pounded all day" - Nik, 2020 😂
nik is a bottom,confirmed
Bring me the pounding
That's what she said!
It was a lot of pounding
"Need a break from getting pounded all day... Sometimes" 🤣
That sound at the end was the transition to Ludens because it is the next song on the track list
I thought I was the only one who noticed that lmaoo
Same
It scary
Yup if y’all listen to the whole ep track by track. The transition of each song is pretty sick.
That sound is also a modulated version of the alert *!* noise from metal gear solid
Honestly this entire EP has been on replay for the entire day for me. It’s all unreal. WTF BMTH
It's beastly!
!didn't know i was playing a horror game"
The name of the album: Survival Horror
Then it bleeds into Ludens.
"I don't know what hurts the most, holding on or letting go" - God damn I felt that on a spiritual level...
Yup
And "reliving my memories and they are killing me one by one"
I love the heavy Linkin Park influence on this song!!
Me too!
This song has a lot genes from Linkin Parks - Papercut and I like it
I’ve been reading that in several comments but I can’t find the similarity 😞
@@j220493 the drum beat and the guitar triplets in the verses and prechorus
The bridge really does sound like papercut. The chord the electronic elements if you ask me.
It sound like it just enough to know it’s inspired but not enough it feels like a ripoff
Yeah! So much Meteora & HT vibe in this
"Put me out of my misery"
Linkin Park's Given Up reference?
Exactly what I thought!!!!
Possibly.this album has a number of LP references
Yep it is
Put me out of my misery (one step closer to the edge). My miiiiiiiind
And 'Itch For The Cure' is a reference to LP's 'Cure For The Itch'. This EP has a lot of references to LP. And i loved that.
the end of this song looks like the beginning of Ludens
It's cause Ludens is coming right after on the EP, it's a subtle yeg quite nice transition if you listen to it in order
@@TheFinne I was just gonna say this.
@@ACGamer123 finna*
@@TheTasteOfInk no
Finn H. Yup linkin park did the seamless transitions a lot for their concept albums like A Thousand Suns. Really brings the entire album together and kept the musical journey going.
Honestly getting Nova Twins on this was a genius move. Amy Love’s vocals worked with this song so well
This album is literally a perfect cross section of their last 4 albums.
tts+amo
@@seflw9666 i think it has sempiternal vibes too
This track is everything I wanted Amo to be after Wonderful Life first dropped
I love Amo, but I agree. This album is the perfect mix of balls to the wall heavy and catchy pop goodness.
@@bardknight definetely, i actually got into BMTH after amo dropped, i never liked their Deathcore era and i used to make fun of them. But man was i wrong. i actually started with amo and i really enjoyed even though i'm a metalhead, but this is the perfect balance of their older stuff and later TTS/amo softness (which i really love too)
@@eugenbotnaru9155 Yeah, I don't really enjoy their first records. I appreciate them for what they are and I can listen to them if I'm in a specific mindset, but they are not interesting for me. I first heard a couple of songs from Sempiternal but didn't think much of them. Then a friend told me about That's The Spirit and that's when I first got into them. I went back and actually loved Sempiternal and as they've kept releasing stuff, they've become one of my top bands. Survival Horror is at least top 3 for me this year. As shitty as 2020 has been, it's been great for music releases.
@@bardknight as much as old fans love to hate on amo, i think what they did was absolutely brilliant. they released amo, which is really easy to like if you've never listened to BMTH before, but it leaves you wanting more, so you search for more of their stuff, and it's much easier to appreciate after you've had a bit of experience with the band and their newer stuff. that's how you turn regular people into listening metalcore, brilliant. and BMTH could only play pop and techno for the rest of their careers and i wouldn't have a problem with it, because they manage t do it awesomely and with high quality, still complex. i don't have a problem when bands change style if the final result is great and still has their signature
@@bardknight Similar progression for me regarding BMTH. Just got into them this year, though, after knowing about them for years. Didn't really dig for new bands back then.
Nik really did Matt Kean dirty with that "computer bassist" 😂
Lmao he does that everytime
Sad matt noises
Dude, computer bassist is killing it gets praised in every track well done
Good job Kontakt Pop Bass!
Jeez am i the only one to feel the Linkin Park vibes throughout the whole album ?
Not at all. I'm a HUUUGE fan of those LP vibes. That's what sold me.
Not really whole album. This is the most linkin park song then the teardrops (itch for the cure as well but not a song really). All other ones I don't think so.
@@johnyang799 I personally found it to stretch to more than just Teardrops and 1x1.just different parts of the songs that set it off for me.
@@KidKat__ I'm also ok with that. I also agree just can't pin point what it is for other songs.
@@KidKat__ Maybe the guitar tones. I can sort of feel that in parasitr eve. Luden and obey not so much.
“Are we gonna smash in this song? That’s okay if we don’t..,, I’ve been get smashed a lot today” soooo does that mean Nik Nocturnal onlyfans👀👀
Jared Dines and now Nik Nocturnal 😂😂
Jared Dines and now Nik Nocturnal 😂😂
:O
@@NikNocturnal uwu🥺👉🏽👈🏽
@@NikNocturnal just post videos of you reacting to the gnarliest deathcore breakdowns
Hey guys did you all hear that Nik’s band released a new track called Desolate Specter? 😂
WHAT?!?!!? Nik is in a band!!!
It's a CHONKY one!
did you hear Varsity Gaming's charm will be available all through year 5
@@jakeszmyt3883 eeyyyy
WOAH I didn't, you guys should def check it out though
I can understand people saying the “put me out my misery” is an LP reference but it’s a fairly common saying. Maybe a bit of a stretch. However you can definitely hear the general LP inspiration.
Well, Oli does love being compared to Chester Bennington becausehe looks up to his work.
I mean itch for a cure
This song isn’t heavy, but I still think it’s one of the best they’ve released. It’s really an amazing track. Such a great chorus with amazing lyrics.
I 100% agree with you. It doesn't need to be heavy to be good, this song is just amazing
It's not soft either, so what's your point?
@Nemesis 86 LMAO! You've clearly never heard of nu metal or alternative rock/metal then, because I unfortunately know how that pop garbage sounds, and... This ain't it chief!
@Nemesis 86 What you said is the equivalent of Corey taylor saying slipknot isn't Nu metal which is completely asinine! Just because you make music doesn't mean you're an expert of this kind of music. This song has linkin park and Breaking Benjamin vibes, so by proxy your'e calling those bands pop which is flat out wrong...
@Nemesis 86 Dear christ, you deleted your comments just to come back with a desperate late rebuttal... That's just psychotic.
Anywho,
1.I was obviously referring to the great band Linkin Park was ,before that one more light diarrhea.
2.You fail to realize that, you're calling a song that sounds similar to ,two non pop bands (read point 1 again before you call Linkin park a pop band again) a pop song which makes ZERO sense...
Is there poppy crap in this song? Of course, the autotuned verses and nova twins, but if you're calling this pop, then architects aka the most notable band to basically rip off the That's the spirit album formula and fuse it with metalcore, a complete pop band...
BMTH gave him the excited sweats and ruining his shirts 🤣
the chorus always remind me of "don't tell me" by avril lavigne
I'm glad I'm not the only one hshshsh
I was like "wait, where did I hear that before"...lol gotta love bmth :)
Yeaaaah, sounded like that took me too hahaha
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
THANK YOU I COULDN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS REMINDING ME OF
Just when you think bMTH went soft , they release an album like this.... This made 2020. Worth it
This still on repeat 2 years later
This album is so good it's a joke. Amo was alright, they were trying weird shit but it lacked energy, But holy shit this album is INCREDIBLE.
I can finally explain my favourite type of songs: and its this one
I love the other songs too but there is something about melodic songs that i adore
Nic says he wakes up to listen to new music but he looks like he never sleeps.
My favorite song ever. I can relate as a lot of otger people can. The line " feel like im ready to die but i cant commit" really gives me chills
BMTH: Releases an EP.
Me: Waits for Nik's reaction vids.
BMTH have blown me away with this release. I knew this EP was going to be great, but Jesus Christ.
"Put me out my misery" reference given up from linkin park?
99%
Sure !!
Might be reaching but I’m genuinely curious on how much into Linkin Park they wanted to go for on this EP.
@@isalefevre4138 yes, they said that Linkin park inspired them a lot for this ep
Oli even replied at twitter to Mike saying “without you, we wouldn’t even be a band”
Parts of this song reminds me a lot of Somewhere I Belong. Actually most of the songs on this new album have an real Hybrid Theory/Meteora vibe. Really digging it!!
THE CHORUS IS TIMELESS
I didn't hear this the first couple times I heard the song, but now it sounds like a mix of more recent Ronnie Radke and rock from bands like Breaking Benjamin or Linkin Park.
I love it.
FYI, the guest vocalist on this song is the lead singer of Nova Twins. Really great band if you've never checked them out before, all-female POC duo from the UK that play dubsteppy/EDM-influenced rock music. Saw them at Download last year and they were pretty cool.
I like to look at this track as like a break from all the heaviness and all
BMTH is just a heavier modern-day Linkin Park. Started from heavier beginnings, then proceeds to make every album something different and unique.
At 3:00 try singing along it with Papercut's "Sun goes down" bridge.
I like how when he talks about Oli’s background screams they come on in his layover of the song
This song reminds me of I, Prevail. So far this album is solid.
This whole album but this song in particular definitely reminds me of LP
Bmth could have done a video on this song as well. Such a banger, KingSlayer and this one are so damn good. Dear diary is a very good song as well
Personally i think kingslayer and that prelude before then are the best songs
@@tamazhi6762 yeah, KingSlayer, Dear Diary and this one are very good but I would prefer to see this one as a single type
Just how fluid they can be in any genre, they're so awesome
The way he sings my mind caught my attention and when the guitars first go off I was like wow omfg 😍😍😍
so you actually changed your shirt every video? :D
Wanted to spice up the vids
gotta change after getting smashed you know
This song has got to be my favorite and I love it especially because so many of us can relate to this song on a deep level
It sounded like Papercut of Linkin Park, a reallllllll banger🔥
Just watched the video, now the reaction. Boy, so much to look forward to!
Like, everything bmth does these days is just perfect. I have the whole album added to my main Playlist already xD
Easily my fav song on the album and possibly of the year. The lyrics cut so deep. Oli is a lyrical genius in my book
I was saying this song could fit really well in falling in reverse coming home album.
Throwbacks to That's the Spirit with this one
Love the new album! THEY'RE HEAVY AGAIN! Thought I heard Kristen may from flyleaf for a second, the way she started her vocals in this song
Those 2008 screams behind the Nova twins made my heart happy 🎃
My favorite song in this album, there's just something within the chorus man!! Even if there's no heavy in it, I just love it!! Crazy album!!
I wasn't expecting the Ludens link at the end, did make me jump too.
There are three songs in Spotify, they all kick ass! Plz upload more!
Idk if i get more linkin park advent children vibes or resident evil vibes.... But I love it.
"Don't need to always be smash, you need a break from getting pounded all day" 🤣
Something really funny at 2:32 just after Nik done saying his words.. What an amazing timing lol
I think they took the best parts of their old stuff and their newer stuff, and just went and put it in a blender with a little cherry on top. This might be my favourite album they've done since 2010
This song made me feel things I didn't know I could. So beautiful
I think this song was so "in-tune" emotionally and everything was complimented. The drums complimented the song, the guitarist complimented the piano and the piano complimented the background.
i hope nik listens to the EP again in order so he can experience the flow it has considering the songs are connected after each other
This ep brought my love for heavy music back
This song and Teardrops are the best of the album in my opinion
Favourite song of this album hands down. The whole things bangs. The contrast between the piano and Lee's chugs and riffs is just tasty.
It's just a fucking awesome track.
Does anyone here know of their unreleased song "Don't Look Down". It was meant to be on That's the spirit but never got a offcial release. I'd like to see Nik react to that song. It's definitely interesting.
Love this EP so much
"need a break from getting pounded all day"
- Nik Nocturnal 2020
Every lyric is everything I’ve been going through now that i come back to this song
Hope this channels hit million subscribers soon
#lovefrommalaysian
The opening theme of this video is just insane
This song is my favorite off the album. Kingslayer is a close second. Like man this song the structure, the chorus it gets me every fuckin time
Fav song of the album, what a chorus man, gonna kill the repeat button
In the chorus, I always hear “my my-ei-eind feels like an old gentleman”😂
I really thought nothing could top Ludens for me but this is everything I love in terms of music perfected. I generally think this might be my new favorite song it's so good!
This whole album has been banger after banger! I usually don't download full albums anymore, but I think this will be an exception 🤘😈
The ending bit is the intro into the next song on the album: "Ludens"
2:15 "Yeah. It's not bring if you don't... if you know what's happening"
My toughts exactly towards bmth. Like. I can never say if I like the songs they drop the firtst time I hear them, but after I hear them a little more I am already headbanging my head.
Want to see this live so bad
Sounds a lot like Falling in Reverse to me, and I’m not complaining!
This EP is such a collection of top bops.
This song reminds me of Falling In Reverse
Me too bro
Same here ! Popular monster!
Thought the same. The beginning drums start like a FIR song.
Nice speedflow at the start of the video
awesome song, awesome album, proud to be from sheffield :-)
That ending leads into the next song, and it is a jolt and I love it
Not really picking up a breaking Benjamin vibe but in songs like these you definitely tell the LP influences.
This song features Nova Twins, very good and upcoming band. Worth a listen.
1x1 is the world today...it is the world we are stuck in...and i love that BMTH has the balls to talk about it
I can’t even count how many times I’ve played this song since it dropped
The way he asks us to check out his own song is so funny it makes me wanna buy his whole album 😂
the bridge part is the most amazing part.
You probably already know by now but they had a guest appearance of guitar duo Nova Twins. That was the woman singing
I've read somewhere that there will be 3 more EP's under the POST HUMAN: album name
These dude prove again and again how great they are! Definitely not disappointed at all! ✌🏻😊
