Thank you for this amazing tip. I've had my 1200 for a couple of months and although I love it, I've struggled with getting really tight topping and tailing...this is amazing. Really fast too when you get it down...tightens up the whole beat. Cheers!
I tip to help truncate all the air or unwanted audio unusable for your sample loop or one shot after sampling audio is to set the Auto Correct to " hi res ". Next, hold down the Repeat button while moving fader one. This will allow you to hear what is truncated at high speed and can allow you to trim accurately, especially the downbeat of a drum break sampled.
That’s cool, thanks for sharing that little nugget.. when ‘Shorts’ are available on this channel I might do a minute on that-if that’s cool with you?! PS. shout-out included, of course 🙏🏼
@@tonelabqt No problem at all my friend. Just doing my part. That will be cool to get a shout-out. Dr. Fangaz ( As in pronouncing Fingers ) is the name. Thanks!
I’ve been using the Hi res / note repeat method since 1987. I call the “grinder technique” because it sounds like the sample is being put through a grinder. I learned this technique back in 1987. Yes Ive had my Sp1200 that long😂😂
Hey thanks very much! 🙏🏻 I've got a 2nd channel with more drum machines and synths too! So, if you get 'rained in' ⛈ check out ua-cam.com/users/tonelab 🎚🎛

Great video and audio quality. I had this randomly recommended to me and I don't even own an sp1200 but it was still interesting to watch. Keep it up!
