Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.
In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and #lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. Every year throws up new and completely unexpected challenges, and how lifeguards adapt is what makes Bondi Rescue a show that’s about much more than swimmers being saved in the surf.

Although H may be strict, it’s important that he is strict because some people just don’t listen and let it fly over their heads, so he has a reason for his strictness.
When you work in customer service, you understand where H Man is coming from.
I think it’s really sweet how H kept talking about how happy his wife was during his goodbye celebration (: you can tell he really loves her ❤️

Right, if I'd told them not to swim in the dangerous waters and they went straight back in behind my back, I'd leave them to it! Natural selection. Don't see why he has to risk his neck for people like that honestly.
They should have left in the next few minutes of the last clip, when the man who he saved started having trouble because he swallowed too much water and his friends finally realized how serious it was. If I remember correctly, H was there to help him again and to get him medical care.
That was from the full episode video. These videos here are clips from different episodes organized around a theme. There are many clues to this editor's intended message. 1. The repetition of how old he is. 2. The drawn out focus on just his poor performance, several lifeguards were asked to comment on that and it was implied one young guy helped him with the trials, (although I don't think that was accurate, I think it was moral support) and several examples of him being unpleasant with rescue-ees, rightly or wrongly no other lifeguard there ever is.
@@heidikickhouse- yes, I am aware of what it's from. I was wondering why it wasn't included because it would have only served to fit their portrayal of him as the "Gordon Ramsay of Bondi." He was angry and lost his temper, but adding the other half of the story would have shown that he had a good reason to be yelling at them for their nonchalant behavior after their friend's near death.

Indeed a legend & and an icon at Bondi beach! A stern drill-sargeant-like person (which honestly is what a lot of people need) with a big heart & wisdom who tries so hard to keep beach-goers safe!

I tell ya what, with a guy like H man, you really know where he stands with things. Great lifeguard and I reckon he'd make a good no nonsense bouncer or security guard. One things for sure, you wouldn't wanna get on the wrong side of him. But then again he has a great sense of humour and a good heart. No wonder all the other lifeguards loved him. Long live the H man!

H man may be strict, stern and short tempered, this is all for good reason, he’s passionate, he cares and he wants people to get home safely. He’s probably the man that knows Bondi the best, he’s probably seen the most tragedies that happened here
There’s the man I was just talking about. “H” or hay-ch as some of them say. He intimidated me all the way to Florida USA. I love watching him work because he doesn’t really hold back whereas the other lifeguards may not be as exhausted by having to keep saving the same dummies.

Would it work to have some toys for a lost kid to play with and distract them? How about electronic reader boards. Revolving lights start. Information streams. Everyone on the beach can read information. How old. Boy or girl. Wearing what. Name. Etc.
