I know it's 3 years later, but Steve Irwin's career was built on scaring and antagonising wildlife. If he had respected animals, and given them space, he may not have died the way he did.
I can't imagine swimming anywhere there are sharks but if I was at bondi, I wouldn't worry about it. Weird but true. I have that much confidence in this team!
If its salt water, good chances you got sharks close by. They only need a few feet of water to be fully under in... Unless that salt water has nets around, then no worries there lol...
Sharks are so not the danger of Bondi. It's just a stupid place to be in the water because it is the most unfriendly surf. You have to really understand the ocean's movements to navigate it safely. And yet it is filled with a gazillion tourists every day who have no idea. I don't get it.
I feel like the seagull guy obviously knows what he’s talking about but I also do believe the guy may have actually seen a shark. Even if it wasn’t a shark, the guy definitely thought it was one. Which is scary af, and he handled it like a champ. Plus multiple other people seen what they believed to be a shark. The guy that was accusing that it was a false sighting was pretty rude and if I would’ve been in the surfers position I would’ve felt pretty offended. I get both sides cause you don’t want people putting on a show to get attention or scare people but he seemed a little rude to someone who may have just gone through something traumatic.
Yeah, its a bit silly seeing him trying to play detective every time someone spots a shark. Seagulls aren't shark proof. They do get eaten sometimes because they dont spot the shark on time. One day people might be too scared to sound the alarm because they've seen Bobby go off on tv.
The kid seemed scared and there were other people who saw it. I agree that the seagull thing isn’t always the case. Just glad this kid was smart enough to throw his board at it!
I think Bobby knew he was wrong, but doubled down to try and save face, disregarding multiple witnesses, and still sticking to his seagull argument. My sister gets like this when she has PMT lol. Atleast she has an excuse.
Bobby: apparently the lifeguard you don't want to be 'saved' by when going through/ having gone through something potentially traumatic. It's fine if you don't believe people, just don't tell them that right to their face... right after something happened which scared them no matter whether you believe them or not.
I hear what you are saying (male Karen = Ken) but he does have a valid point... seagulls will not sit on the water if there is something big under the surface of the water (shark, seal, whale, dolphin etc). You are 100% correct though... he was determined to get HIS point across.. old Kenneth 🤣🤣🤣
Right! I know they take their jobs seriously but he was pretty much calling that kid a liar and that was annoying. Like wouldn't you rather take the precautions that it is a shark than think it's a false alarm and blow it off? I didn't get why he didn't want to take it seriously.
@@liasonpureluv i think he didn't believe the kid because...well, because a KID saw it and reported it... dude even says "he was so calm" while talking to the other grown man who saw the shark. for me, that was just an adult not believing something just because it was a kid who said it first. i'm sure if the first report came from an adult, the story would have been different and no one would have doubt it

Life jackets for swimming are actually very dangerous - they can keep the back afloat and drown kids whose natural buoyancy would correct them naturally. You can't learn to swim properly with them on. The main problem here is that these parents don't supervise them constantly - I totally agree with you, I always think the same, - if your kid can't swim, don't let them in the ocean. Teach them to swim before you go to the beach. But also the amount of kids that are unsupervised at any beach is truly irresponsible- a parent or guardian's whole job is to supervise and be with your children at all times! These people expect the powerful unpredictable ocean to babysit their kids for them! 😅😂 And that the lifeguards will deal with it and are watching.
