This video is awesome...after hours of trying to get this belt on from the other side of the pulley...finally watched this and took me 5 minutes to install. Thanks a million.
Important note that you need to add. If you have a manual transmission, make sure that it is in neutral. If not, the compression makes the harmonic balancer spin slightly counter clockwise after you rotate it. This makes it where the belt will jot walk onto the HB pulley.
Awesome. I was trying from the front like how ppl do it with the 3.5L. the belt keep slipping off the AC compressor. I didn't think there was enough room in the back to slide the belt in. Thank you!
Just a tip to make it easier, put 3 zip ties on the balancer so the belt wont just keep slipping off while you rotate. Besides that everything is the same as how u do it. Good job.
@@MegaMadrid22 bro that damn belt had me fighting it for like 2 hours then I said fuck it and went and got tip ties 3 of them that shit went right on lol
I have installed a new ac belt but it’s a bit loose and squeaky on high rpms. What can I do to stop this issue I try different belts but still get the same result. I know the mustang doesn’t have a tensioner for the ac belt.
I’m taking my Paxton supercharger off becasue the car was totaled. I found another GT and plan to put the parts on it. I forgot just how involved the process of returning the car back to stock was going to be 😭
With a screwdriver carefully, have someone inside spin it with the key but not crank it, put the screwdriver by the ac compressor pulley and let the belt ride the screwdriver, just don’t put it all the way in just the tip of it
Not having luck with this. I’m working in my driveway with the air intake and coolant reservoir out of place to make room. Once the large pulley caught, the best slipped off the compressor pulley and I’m in a jam right now. Just a word of caution to those doing this DIY at home.
Ain’t no way 😂😂 they need to be fired, anyone will understand what a a/c belt is for 11-14 mustang 5.0, even google you type it and it will pull it up first click
@a.g.performance I ended up just winging it out and finally found how to. For some reason when I look it up on Google, I get results for the 4.6 and the f150.

FANTASTIC job dude. We need more people like you on UA-cam. And Ford needs to learn how to design their engine bay
Oh my gosh I never thought I was gonna be able to do it. Thank you so much.
You are the freakin man!!!! All my years of working on these 5.0’s and you taught me a new trick. Thank you 🎉

I think that's why I ripped my belt trying the 1st time, Thanks for that note
What about the automatic transmissions? N or P ?
N is for neutral, p is for parking
Thank you for making this video, best method out there by far. Zip tie method is ass

Thanks that helped me on my 21 mustang
Bro really go us going thanks for the video
Great information! Thank you, it only took me a couple minutes.

I tryd his way and could not get it As I used the zip ties it went right on thanks man
@@antoniotorres1396 glad it helped man. Yeah zip ties is the easiest way to help the belt slide in.

1 will hold lol no need of 2 or 3

Your pulley in the ac compressor is whats squeaking and moving. Replace the compressor
Thanks worked for me
Thank you!!
Dude ! you saved my life
Thank you so much
No problem
Nice job!

Jezzz, good luck brotha
How many people did you run over in the process of totaling the car.
Great tip!
My belt will not fit behind the pulley ?
How do you take it off though?
I'm thinking with a razor knife.
With a screwdriver carefully, have someone inside spin it with the key but not crank it, put the screwdriver by the ac compressor pulley and let the belt ride the screwdriver, just don’t put it all the way in just the tip of it
Honestly you're not gonna reuse it might as well just cut er off

What is this belt called ? I can’t see to fine it for my car
A/c serpentine belt
@@a.g.performance that’s the big one for the idil pulley bro I’ve gone to autozone and oralls and they don’t seem to understand what belt it is 😤
@@a.g.performance you wouldn’t mind send me a link where to order it ? I got a 2011 coyote

@@a.g.performance 😂😂😂ur ain’t lying bro haha thank you !!
So I gotta take half the engine apart and remove the radiator to have work space?? Windows down forever at this point. 😂
The easiest way is zip ties this method took 3 hours didn’t work and ruined my new belt. Lead me in right direction though.
Ok now how the f*** does the serpentine belt go?
Serpentine belt is super easy, but look up serpentine belt routing diagram for 11-14 5.0 and millón pics will pop up

That’s a bunch of shit🔥
Yeah really shitty design by Ford. I noticed when I took mine out..
Easy because all the shit you took off
I noticed that too. No thanks, I'll just pay the $100 in labor on top of the new belts and let the dealership tech do it.
