Thank you so much for sharing this video. I have a 2015 Mustang GT with 80k miles on it and already had the evaporator replaced. I thought for sure that part failed again until I went to check my r134a charge and noticed my clutch wasn't spinning or would barely turn when cycling MAX AC and MAX humidifier trying to get it to kick on. (Also notice the piece was oozing rubber bits when trying to turn). The second link you shared for the part is still active and the install was done in less than an hour. For my application, the spacers that were originally used were adequate, so I didn't have to buy any additional hardware as you needed to. My GT is not supercharged, so I was able to leave the AC belt on. Anyone looking to do this on a NA GT 5.0 I'd suggest watching this video as the repair steps are the same. (Only differences is we go in from the top side underneath the expansion tank, and use a 10mm socket) The use of an impact meant that I didn't have to try and clamp the plate to remove the bolt, same as in the Expedition video below. ua-cam.com/video/NMd42xhG4h0/v-deo.htmlsi=5DcSEVXLzBQH1mvH
I have the same issue, I was got curious and wanted to see if the shaft was seized up, but the shaft moved freely. I was going to buy a whole new compressor if I haven’t came to your video 😂
I have a 2012 Mustang with a Gen3r also and I believe I have the same problem. My car is on a 10 rib system but I can see the clutch engages fine but the center section is not turning.
BRUHHH just lost mine on my 2016 GT smfh not looking forward to this, heard a squeak when putting defrosters on, then smelled burnt rubber got to work the clutch was mangled, gonna replaced the whole thing now can’t believe it went only 44k miles
I have the same issue and have spent 12 plus hours calling part supply houses, scrapyards and everywhere else I could think of with no luck. Came here looking for a part number or link, and your eBay link is sold out... 105+ here in Texas... melting

Do you know the torgue specs on that center 10mm bolt? How long did this job take mine is doing the same thing spinning in the middle. Ac still blows cold ice but the belt and hub is making a ton of noise. I hope this solves the problem. Got mine in the mail a few days ago.
Hey how’d you take it off if I’m correct there’s only one 10 mil bolt holding it but it just won’t come off and it’s just like urs it broken into two pieces
so I’m getting a sort of whine coming from either the clutch or the compressor. Does this on the throttle regardless of how high it’s the rpm’s are and goes away completely once the Ac compressor is turned off. My assumption is it’s the clutch worn out and not the compressor itself. Thoughts? It’s on a 2016 v6 model with only 43k miles. Thanks!
With just the AC on it very well could be the clutch starting to slip. I’m not sure if the V6 has a tensioner for the AC belt. The extra load could cause a tensioner or idler to squeal too
@@Forcedinduction_Drive thanks for the fast reply man, I’m keen to think it’s the clutch bearing due to the sound and the ac compressor is seemingly working fine so far. The whine doesn’t sound like a belt issue or a squeal from the belt so that’s my reasoning on the bearing. At that rate though would you suggest just a new install of the entire pump or try out putting in a new bearing. From what I can tell there’s no difference in installation for in between the v6 and 5.0
@@krrson mine just sent a week ago i was hearing whining a couple drives ago until i heard one loud ass whine then burnt smell, the clutch just destroyed itself
@@krrson nice , i’m glad i turned it off right away before it broke off and went into the serpentine belt or worse, im gonna take it apart tmrw at least it’s cold where i’m at , won’t have to replace until may at the latest

I think the VMP tensioner puts too much tension on the A/C compressor
You may be right. Thanks for the video probably saved me from doing a compressor. 👍@@Forcedinduction_Drive

Should have made a video on how you got the AC serpentine belt off the crankshaft
Since I have the supercharger I actually have a tensioner for that belt. I completely forgot about the lack of a tensioner on stock

How did you remove the old one not sure how to take it apart can't find any videos

You might need to use a puller.
@@Forcedinduction_Drive dang doe that mean j have to take off the compressor
@@Forcedinduction_Drivehow many spacers overall did u use?
Mine is making a bad bearing sound... will this clutch replacement fix noise
@tonyzeni9186 hard to say... probably not
Would you’re fan come on when Turing on the car ?
Compressor condensor dryer expansion valve flushing evaporator 😁
Was is making a noise when revving the car? That's what mine is doing? Sounds like the compressor is bad on mine?
It started with the A/C not working then went to the noises afterwards

Where's the sync 3 upgrade?
In all honesty I would probably do the Idatalink MFT-1 like I did in the SHO. I'm all about preamp outputs
@@Forcedinduction_Drive I got you lol
Thx for the help 🤙
There’s an idiot technician fixed the clutch with constant type which burns out while i was driving 😂
