Flair has said that the two guys who had no business being Horsemen were Sid Vicious and Paul Roma. Flair also admitted he had no say in those two becoming Horsemen. He was kind when speaking of Roma as an individual wrestler. But that incident between Vicious and Arn Anderson caused Flair to literally never say another word to Vicious, ever again.

minute 30 in, and I think you should totally do a Horseman video series! Maybe do it when you finish the Monday Night Wars, maybe do it in between to space out your videos in you're interested, but as a fan of the 4 Horsemen from the Monday Night Wars, (Flair, Anderson, Benoit, Malenko, and (to a much lesser extent) Mongo, I would love to see a full historical series on this, bc I've been buying/watching every media form I can about them given their history, I know I'm missing stuff from way back when, so watching a full history with suggested matches along the way would be areal treat..
- The idea of a "Rogue Horsemen" stable with Pillman and Benoit is the sort of stuff that could've turned the MNW around! - I wanna see that timeline! 😭😭
Great stuff! Long Live the Horsemen. The end was messy and there were many mehhh versions but beside the obvious what I call original (Flair/Tully & Anderson’s) my fave version was the short lived late 95/early 96 version with Flair/Arn the old school guys and new school with Pillman & Benoit.
I actually liked the version with Mongo and I think that may have been my favorite version. The role the Horsemen played in the Nitro years is underappreciated. They got a ton of air time and were a big part of many angles during a time when the company was soaring in popularity and had huge ratings. The horsemen played a role in the popularity of Nitro and it often isn't appreciated enough. I liked how they were tweeners who could go either heel or babyface depending on the arena and the opponents. This made for more interesting storytelling than the era when they were booked as pure evil. It was fun watching them work babyface against the Dungeon of Doom or the NWO when they were in the Carolinas, but then be heels in other situations.
The original members were the best for many reasons. Kayfabe was still in wrestling as they lived their characters outside the ring and on the roads and home. Ric was the wheeling and dealing champ, Tully was the snobbish a$$ you loved to hate, Arn was the enforcer who kept things in control, Ole was the old school tough as nails legitimacy that made them a threat, and JJ managed everything that was Horseman business. The next was with Windham who was a great talent and could do it all. The worst was a tie with Sid, Sting, and Paul Roma. Sting is a legend, but he was no Horseman and needed to be their threat as a Face which worked much better.
I'm in the minority of being a big time fan of the original Horsemen (which took place during my high school years) but still thinking that Sid was a good addition. There was something so different, so charismatic about Sid that made it work for me. The WrestleWar '91 War Games match is arguably the best ever War Games.
Benoit being a horseman made me love the four horsemen and wrestling in general and even to this day, I only love the 4h iterations with him in it, though it was during the horsemen’s least powerful years
Thank you. Excellent presentation. I am not sure who would take credit or if it was intentional but I think one of the things that made the 4 Horseman so memorable was that the company kept it unique. Yes they changed members but the focus was 4. Unlike other groups that kept adding members until it did not seem special being in the group. Also the company did not immediately upon its success start creating multiple factions so that it saturated the company. Now it seems every wrestler is apart of a faction.
Arn, Ole, Tully and Ric. Those will always be the True Horsemen for me. Would've loved to see Pillman's Rogue Horsemen faction with Jericho, Benoit and maybe Eddie Guerrero(?)

The best group in wrestling history
You know it's good when Wrestling Bios is the only UA-cam channel I have alerts turned on.
It's been a while since we got to enjoy some good old horsemen business
The Jim Crockett promotions nwa world wide wrestling was the peak 4 horseman for me
Now this is what I've been waiting for! The best faction ever! Diamonds are forever and so are the 4 horsemen
minute 30 in, and I think you should totally do a Horseman video series!
Maybe do it when you finish the Monday Night Wars, maybe do it in between to space out your videos in you're interested,
but as a fan of the 4 Horsemen from the Monday Night Wars, (Flair, Anderson, Benoit, Malenko, and (to a much lesser extent) Mongo,
I would love to see a full historical series on this, bc I've been buying/watching every media form I can about them given their history,
I know I'm missing stuff from way back when, so watching a full history with suggested matches along the way would be areal treat..
This is what I've been wanting for wrestling bio's one of my favorite factions and what I was wanting you to make a video of
I wish my bowels were as regular as Wrestling Bios.
I don't even know what the episode is usually, I just see Wrestling Bios and I know it's worthy of my time
I actually liked the version with Mongo and I think that may have been my favorite version.
Dude stays with great content for the community I always wanted to know more about the 4
This is one of the best you have ever done, absolutely brilliant 👏
Great video as always .
These faction timeline videos are really great
I hope you keep doing them
The OG horsemen was the pinnacle of my childhood. Countless times I’ve walked around school putting up 4 fingers saying woooooooooooooooo.
Great video! Took me down memory lane. The first iteration I got to experience watching as a 10 year old fan was in 1990 Flair Arn Barry and Sid.
Hopefully, a video on The Dangerous Alliance soon
Benoit being a horseman made me love the four horsemen and wrestling in general and even to this day, I only love the 4h iterations with him in it, though it was during the horsemen’s least powerful years
The OG were great chemistry! Great little documentary. Well done.
Excellent video as always.
The best wrestling channel on UA-cam, brother.
Been a huge fan since summer 2019 getting better and better every video of the day
Favorite horsemen was their 1999 incarnation before the final split. It’s when I started watching wrestling so it’s the dearest time to me.
Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham were my favourite version of the 4 Horsemen.
I grew up with the Mongo and Benoit version so for me that was the definitive 4 horsemen.
Same here. I started watching in late 96.
Saaaaame!!!
Same here with the 3 horsemen dolls Nancy Benoit Elizabeth Hewlette and Debra Marshall
Your cover photo is the best version of the group imo
Wooooooo. Probably one of my new favorites videos! I'll ALWAYS have love for the original line up, but the version with Dean was great!!!
Request a series on legendary managers as well, especially since there's so few of them today. Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Jim Cornette etc.
Arn, Ole, Tully and Ric. Those will always be the True Horsemen for me. Would've loved to see Pillman's Rogue Horsemen faction with Jericho, Benoit and maybe Eddie Guerrero(?)
The video mentions you’re considering a Horsemen series. Lemme say I’m FULLY supportive of that!
