I loved Sting in the Wolfpac. Even when it didn't seem to fit his style. The ring attire, the red black face paint, longer hair. He looked like he was having the time of his life.
Eric Bischoff said on an episode of 83 Weeks that Sean Waltman’s name was “Syxx” because “1+2+3=6” - because he was formally known as the 123 Kid. Not because he was the sixth member of the faction.

I can tell that NWO and peak WCW was definitely your favourite era in wrestling and you hold it close to your heart because of the videos you have released and like you said it was very important and in my opinion such a shame that it had to come to an end I don’t think Bishoff ever got over it and wanted it to last forever. Vince ruined it when they came over to WWF the invasion angle could of been best storyline of all time but he never done them justice or WCW again such a shame!
Can’t blame Vince for things out of his control like Hall relapsing or Nash getting injured or Hogan being cheered. All things (outside of Halls relapse) most couldn’t see coming so why expect Vince to see it. Of the three only Hulk was still in ring shape and able to go.
Big issue I always has was that the Macho Man was too big to not be the leader of any group he was in, but was never the leader - so he always just felt a little off in all nwo iterations.
They made it work for a bit. Like him and Hogan had certain promos where it seemed like hogan and savage were going to face flair and piper eventually. Also was perfect for former wwf guys and make them elite.
Great video, a lot of “fans” need to watch this. It's hard to like someone who always wanted to be someone he wasn't, in this case, his friend Hulk Hogan. Down to the blonde hair and leather hide tan as The Disciple.
For some reason my brain just never accepted Randy Savage in the nWo. He should have been WCW til the end. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Randy Savage in the nWo was the equivalent of Austin joining DX on the other channel; although some people may disagree.
Great video and breakdown! Your attention to details with wrestling and it’s stories are much appreciated. I wish nWo was nothing but former WWE/WWF employees. Once they started having the WCW guys join I felt it did a disservice to the story. Still the greatest faction ever in my belief for all they accomplished and changed.

But I remember my older brother watching WCW around the late 90’s. I became a big fan of wrestling immediately. But after wwe had already died. Can I just say this because it never gets mentioned. Hollywood Hogan had an awesome action figure. That figure was one of my more favorite to play with. Whether I was into Hollywood Hogan at the time didn't matter it was such a cool fun fluid figure to play with. You could really execute a lot of good moves with that figure.
Is channel along with a few other wrestling channels are one of my favorites to watch.. there's barely any bias and it's just great play-by-play kind of stuff..
I started watching Smackdown around the time nWo came there and was immediately a fan. We did not have WWF or WCW showing in Finland in the 90's, so when they referenced the history of nWo in the storylines, it subsequently became part of the nWo "mythology" in our schoolyard discussions. The nWo went the way of the dodo not soon after, but i'm glad i at least saw the end of it. Also glad i was part of the second coming of Hulkamania when Hogan started wearing red and yellow again. I know you probably don't follow NJPW too much but there for a while after Muta joined the group, Keiji Muto still wouldn't join the group for a few months which created a pretty interesting dynamic where Muto was NJPW but Muta was nWo.

@@AzulQueso yeah that was the point. My favorite wrestling stable was the nWo Wolfpac. Sting pretended to join nWo Hollywood and then swerved them by attacking Hogan and The Giant. It's one of my favorite wrestling moments of all time.
Very thorough/accurate video, great job. I get leaving out Kyle Petty since he didn't do anything of note storyline-wise. The one thing that everyone seems to overlook though is that Mark 'Slick' Johnson was a member of the original NWO, not just NWO 2000. He debuted at World War 3 '98 as Scott Steiner's personal referee, and stayed with he and Buff continuously until 1/11/99, as best I can tell, since he was injured. I don't think he ever had a name in that span, but was a Bill Alfonso ripoff, always blowing a whistle. Also Nick Patrick cemented his overt heel turn at Starrcade '96 in the Giant/Luger match, and donned the NWO shirt for the first time the following Nitro.
I became pro-wrestling fan in May 2002, I missed WCW, ECW and NWO. I still remember how Hulk Hogan won every match in June and July of 2002 Smackdown!. Then in August Hulkster lost match to Brock Lesnar and it wasn't PPV, it was Smackdown!
The nWo vs Sting is probably the best storyline wcw ever had! The whole will he or wont he join Hogan. taking on the whole faction in ring before their eventual clash that saw Sting take the title. It was class
This video was a classic my man. I loved the NWO growing up, obviously it got way too diluted but guys like Buff and Big Poppa Pump really shined when they turned heel. I do think guys like Hennig and Bret should have never been in NWO they fit better elsewhere and guts like Horace and Virgil were extra that we’re not needed since a guy like Scott Norton would’ve filled an enforcer role and been a lot more intimidating doing it.
And funny thing is nWo Japan is the only part of the nWo that was forced to split up after a loss in a match at the annual January 4th Tokyo Dome (Wrestling World 2000) by Mutoh to Chono
Honestly, if you just put out Reliving the War weekly you'd be nailing it. But these supplemental features are ALWAYS engaging and I love being surprised whenever they pop up. Thank you!

nWo didn't last more than 4 years and 3 months total (recent one-off reunions excluded) but it felt much longer than that with all the different factions.
One of the best wrestling UA-cam channels on UA-cam to me wrestling bios is in my top 5 in that category along with we are pro wrestling and others
This is my favorite youtube channel
I remember hearing a story that The Godfather was meant to join as the nWo’s enforcer but was undercut by Virgil so he got the role as Vincent
Wasn't he still kama then 👀
Yeah it was either him or Ron Simmons either way Virgil was Virgil and got the job
@@AzulQueso yeah that was the point. From a interview on UA-cam he said that Eric was going to give him a big contract to be a enforce but Vergil came in and said he would do the same thing for significantly less money. He essentially screwed the godfather out of a big contract at the time and screwed him self by taking a huge pay cut to get the job
@@curtailedbike4123 no one ever claimed Virgil/Vincent was a smart guy look at where he's at now lol 😂 at least we ended up getting godfather and the nation of domination run hall of Fame induction still
So it worked out for everyone well except Virgil
My favorite wrestling stable was the nWo Wolfpac. Sting pretended to join nWo Hollywood and then swerved them by attacking Hogan and The Giant. It's one of my favorite wrestling moments of all time.
Excellent vid.
I love this Chanel so much , thank you so much !
Not all heroes wear capes, some make UA-cam videos about wrestling...
"So this is where the big boys play, huh? Look at the adjective: 'play!'." - Kevin Nash
😂
"Named Syxx because he was the SIXTH member of the NWO..." I always thought it was because 1+2+3...
Why not both?
@@TheMGSlow HOORAY
@@justinisntfunny I always heard it was both either way cause waltman said both in interviews
@@WrestlingBios You're watching them. I'll defer to your better judgement.
Best Wrestling channel by far!
The Wolfpac were great in 1998. I still at some point want to get an nwo wolfpac shirt. I like the wolf logo on red background
Nice video! I hope Kevin Nash is good. Hope he knows we all care for him.
Yes he seemed to struggle cause of personal things..
Positive thoughts for Kevin Nash.
Can you do this for the four horsemen?
We need one of these for the Bullet Club 😤
The nWo vs Sting is probably the best storyline wcw ever had! The whole will he or wont he join Hogan. taking on the whole faction in ring before their eventual clash that saw Sting take the title. It was class
Until they made a mess of the ending of the match at Starrcade 1997. Thanks to Hogan....
mark for wrestling bios here... love to you all
This video was a classic my man.
The only thing that was wrong was Kevin Nash joined June 10th not the 2nd. Other than that. Everything was perfect. Loved the video.
Well done. Please do a bullet club video. You did a fantastic job on this.
Dont Lie @WrestlingBios ...You Know Your nWo 4 LIFE!
I always thought Sean Waltman was named Syxx because he was called 1-2-3 Kid in WWF and 1+2+3=6 😅
Lol me too
Wow! Great job... my head is still spinning
Woooooooo
This was just Too Sweet
Another win for the good guys
