I recently bought a Wen 10-inch whetstone with an 8-inch stropping wheel opposite it. It came with fixtures for chisels and plane irons, scissors, small knives, large knives and axes. I haven't used it for anything other than my chisels and plane irons thus far, and it's done a beautiful job with those. Get some diamond dressing tools for that large stone, and you'll have no problems keeping it true and balanced.
I wholeheartedly agree about the diamond dressing wheel. You also need to empty the reservoirs out and clean between uses. Would be a good idea to make a decent ventilated cover for it to keep it as clean and free of contaminants as you can.

Handy bit of kit. Slow speed grinders are the ticket for sharpening knives and woodworking tools.

Good deal, just the whetstone alone cost 160. I have met the owner and maker of this tool yet now he has passed of old age, but that guy was on his feet and a hard working man til his passing.

Have also seen that lately. Don't know the currency exchange but I think that it was $365USD plus shipping by many types and costs from 25 bucks to next day at your door for around 69.99 bucks.
