    Great tip. I like to wrap the trunk over a branch if I can. Then if the branch breaks I am still around the tree and the next branch will stop if it slides.

      megadose vitamin c That’s Good also, If you consider how rock climbers do it they clip in every so feet, almost like a fishing pole method in a rigging application, I’ve heard of too many falls happening because of isolating the rope over a single branch, or not being lanyard in after the top breaks on em.

      @@dqmc07 I like to leave stubs as I go up also. Nice place to rest feet and backup in case something happens. More places to catch a ropem

      megadose vitamin c I do the same, I know most climbers say no to stubs and they can interfere with ropes and lanyards but I’ll take that to rest my 🦶 😉

      @@dqmc07 I am doing less stubs because of rop tangles. But sometimes I hang my rop on them and my saw and stuff.
