Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which Class C RV was your favorite? Please say hello by leaving a comment below! Also, please feel free to ask any questions or just tell us about yourselves. We want to get to know you and share our RV experiences.
Great comparison...Minnie Winnie is my favorite small length and front entertainment is a plus...especially while driving...however..it's needs A streamlined Les boxing makeover,...i.e...round wheelwells..redesigned cab...sleeker bodystly w outside amnenties full body paint make it a sport RV
Hubs and I are simple people, we don't want a slide because we don't want the risk of more repairs, the extra set up/tear down time, we like to stealth camp and camp in small spaces. We want to be able to pull into a parking lot and go to bed then wake up and go. No muss, no fuss. Thank you for doing these tours, we are loving looking at all the options and hearing your review.
Hey WayToSon We appreicate the love and support! Great points!! Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike and Susan BTW, let us know what you think of RV Camping Magazine, our free digital and video magazine! rvblogger.com/rv-camping-magazine/
I bought a 1991 Fleetwood Jamboree Class C for $6000. It had been parked for most of the past 10 or 15 years so I changed all of the fluids from the radiator to the rear differential. I put 6 new tires on it and Bilstein shocks. I remodeled the interior with new flooring, faucets, and so on. I have to say that I prefer mine to any of these. One thing that I prefer is two single beds. My wife and I can sleep together at home. Two singles give you easier access to overhead storage and easier access to get in and out of bed. I don't care about a TV but I did add a computer. Our shower is across the hall from the bathroom and both have plenty of room. We are happy and saved about $100,000! In the cockpit, I added a stereo with a screen that comes out and flips up. I added a rear view camera. It's powered by a Ford 350. Another little thing I did that was a big improvement was a switch from incandescent lights to LED's inside the home. Incandescent bulbs can get hot enough to melt the cover and that won't happen with LED's. Also, you can choose LED's by wave length. Bright white for the bathroom and hall. Softer color for bedroom areas.
Hi Den, That sounds like an awesome remodel and I'm sure you saved a ton of money! We did the same type of thing when we bought our Class C. We found a 2008 with under 9,000 miles on it and bought it for a fraction of the price of a new one. New Water heater, roof, fixtures, water pump, and shocks plus a few other mods and we are good to go! Thanks for watching and commenting! Hi Tranka, Many of our videos show our RV and so do many articles on the website. But we really don't focus on showing off our modest 2008 Class C RV very much. Susan wants me to remodel it before we show it off more and I don't have time to remodel it. We are just way too busy. I think we might move up to Class A at some point and maybe we will show that off.
@RVBlogger Thank you for responding. I've been following you for a while and have seen your RV. I thought I had tagged the person in this comment--Den--😁 because their remodel sounded so awesome.
If I ever buy a class C...I would definetly want one with no slide outs and I think I'd rather want recliners instead of a dinette...pedestal tables instead....

Slide outs are a risk. We know people that have never had a problem (knock on wood!). Unfortunately we are not one of them. We love the extra living space but they are another possible source for maintenance. Thank you for your support!
I like the Winnebago Mini Winnie 25B. I rented this motorhome for the last two years while in Alaska fishing. The RV is only about 25 feet no slide but offers a couch across from the dinette.

I have a 2001 Class C Fleetwood Jamboree 24 foot no slide out. I love it as a solo female traveler. It has a new engine and I remodeled the inside to make it all homey cozy.
I love that you take the time to measure and describe things so thoroughly. Sometimes I wish RVs were made of more customizable components that you could swap out. For example, instead of the couch @ 9:00 I would use that space for a small clothes washer/dryer and maybe some storage.
I think it's because of the electric and pipe lines, that's why they don't usually have options. Nexus and lazy daze are the one I'd seen offering customization. But you have to pay extra for the customized options. 1 second ago
Hi sdraper... Always good to hear from you! We were considering remodeling our Class C but there are so many wires, pipes components etc that have to be moves it becomes quite a process. There is only so much space and moving things becomes a never ending cascade of unintended consequences. I would love to have a black slate and design the RV from scratch! That would be much easier than moving everything around in an existing RV. As always - thanks for watching! Mike and Susan
My last Class C was a Lazy Daze, no slide. Loved, Loved, Loved it. I have owned at least 10 RVs, including a 40-footTag-axle Country Coach, so I know RVs.

My reasons for hating slides: 1. Weather proofing - slides are inherently thin on insulation. I'm a 4 seasons camper and in both hot summer and cold winter, they leak your heat/cool out and add way too much surface area to absorb the outside temps. 2. Layout - These can add a ton of space but limit the usable space to almost 0 if they're in. We like boondocking when traveling and sometimes you're stuck not being able to use part of your rig if you're in an area where slides are not allowed (e.g. Walmart parking lots and Cracker barrel parking lots). 3. Maintenance - Most of us aren't rich and RV breakdowns can get expensive. Slides can be nightmares for that especially if they're stuck open and you can't get to or there isn't an emergency slide retract. Oh and God forbid you having a hydraulic line blow.
I liked the Jayco Redhawk the best. What caught my eye were: has both a dinette and a sofa, L shape kitchen with 2-bowl sink & convection microwave, 2-burner stove, pocket door, size of mattress+space to walk around, and storage in bedroom area.
The Redhawk is an awesome floor plan. It ticks off all the boxes for comfortable camping or living arrangements. Love the North/South bed too! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
It all depends on your camping/travel/living style. I don’t want a slide out for the reasons you mentioned and personally it’s not necessary since we (2) spend most of our time outdoors including most cooking. We don’t have a tv, microwave or oven. If you are camping but stay inside the rv/motor home all the time why not just stay home? Two favorites; the Coachman Freelander for the split bathroom, L-shape kitchen and lots of big windows. The Jayco RedHawk, split bathroom, L-shape kitchen, walk around bed and the door separating the bathroom and bedroom from the front. I like all of the overcab beds which for us would be storage space.

Hi, I do want to get one and it would be class C no slides because as everyone says less problems. My friend/helper is a very active person and I, due to mobility issues, would watch the scenic views from my campsite. Thank you for showing these.
I like the Jayco best. I prefer a 2 burner stove with a convection oven. I wish all of them had this feature & the bigger 12 V fridge. I also prefer the corner bed because it is just me, my dog, & cat.

Great video. Just bought a 2013 Freelander 21qb with no slide. Perfect for the wife and I. We don't miss the extra space. Smaller is simpler and forces you to take only the stuff you need.

Another reason to opt for no slide outs - when doing alot of traveling and boon docking, some overnite locations like truck stops, walmart, cabellas etc. may not allow slideouts to be extended, which, depending on floorplan may make sleeping, cooking and bathroom access very difficult or impossible.

I am doing my research and following Matt's RV review and found you! I think so far, I like the Thor Chateau 22E. Mainly for the floor plan and the front bunk above, oven, and full bath. Length is also a biggie....we don't want a really big unit. Thank you for your channel!!!

I’ve had 3 rigs with slides, major problems with all 3 at one time or another. I also had a whole lot of customers that had rigs with slides, at least half that I can remember had an issue at one time. And no, not one that I’m aware of (especially mine) was due to lack of maintenance.
My complaint is the master bedroom and size of bed. I would cut the cabinets to only upper cabinets. This would allow you to place 2 twin beds with a narrow nightstand in the center between beds,

Thank you for the info! My wants: no slides, convection/microwave, one large sink, murphy bed, theatre seats, solar, towing capacity for Gold Wing~ Then maybe my hubby will be onboard. He wants slides but I think we need to go stealth with less maintenance. So out of the listed I'd go with Winnebago~

I really like these rigs. I don’t like slides myself but they do add lots of room when you are settled in your campsite. Thanks for the reviews. Cheers
Thank you for CAPTIONing! It's easy ( just turn on auto captions) but so many folks just don't turn it on! Gratitude because I'm a hard of hearing disabled veteran. BTW love your tape measure showing us the sizes. Nice job 👍 (USAR 401st Chem CoW/ Nuclear Biological)
I've been looking forward to this video. Really there are two different floor plans executed in unique ways by different manufacturers. If I can't have a oven I would definitely want a convection oven over a microwave. Thanks for sharing.

ALEX from Australia. I wish they made these RV's for export to Australia with a right hand drive. I love your videos! Very informative! Maybe review RV’s that ate only “all weather” RV’s? I’m interested in getting one I can take to cold weather too! Well insulated, AWD, etc! Thanks!
The ones I like are numbers 1.Thor Freedom Elite. 2 Jayco Redhawk 3. Thor Chateau 4. Minnie Winnie. It was a tough one but I like those four the best. Thank you Mike and Susan for showing these.
Awesome! You have the BEST reviews!! the 27QB and the 27N for the Big Win because walk around beds. If you need more under-bed storage check out the cross trek 27XG. Walk around beds are available in shorter length rigs but ya gunna have slide-outs. What key points am I missing people?
My concern is maintenance and possible problems with a slidout. One item that I would like is a murphy bed included in the design allowing more open floor space.
I agree there is always maintenance and possible break downs with a slideout. Murphy beds are great for maximizing space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting Richard.

We have a 2019 Jayco Redhawk 27N and we love it. We really need the open access to both sides of the bed because our knees just won't let us crawl anymore - we're both in our seventies! There is one thing that all of these models have in common - poorly placed TVs! At our age, proper posture is extremely important, and there's just no way to position the TV where we can be comfortable watching a two-hour movie. I'd love to see a video where you relocate the TV - for example, across from the sofa where you could sit comfortably and watch. We are not the type to watch TV in bed anymore. And what about replacing the sofa bed with recliners? Is that doable?
Happy to hear you love your Jayco...besides TV placement. I wonder if there are any UA-cam videos with TV re-placement. As for the recliners...you could check RV furniture stores. We have a blog article that might help. Thanks for watching and commenting. rvblogger.com/blog/rv-furniture-replacement-guide-sofas-couches-recliners-dinettes/
100% .. a walk around bed is something I am looking forward to getting in the near future .. Fold-out bed is what I am stuck with at the moment .. TVs are dysfunctionally-clunky , bogus, energy & space wasting, and add cost too .. I just use a notebook computer w the largest screen size. If one is crazy enough to use a wall-mounted TV is should be replaced with an "all in one" computer, imo.
We love having the split king in the back. It’s our favorite feature of any that we’ve owned. We don’t need and don’t use our slides. We would much rather have a larger bathroom with a decent sized shower and lose the dinette.
So glad you're loving your split king! I completely agree about ditching the dinette for a larger bathroom!!! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
@@user-3tf67bk46u Thank you for such a thorough comment. Hopefully I can answer all your points. Dinette. Typically there will be at least a stand alone table so you are not totally without a dinette. It's just not permanently attached. Beds. Size of RV bedding is definitely a point of sacrifice but you can always replace the mattress for something more comfortable. The refrigerator panels are made of a very lightweight material. There's not much added weight to the RV or stress to door hinges. As for an RV made out of wood...now that would be extremely heavy to tow. Most materials used in the construction of an RV is designed to be lightweight and sometimes avoid damage due to leaking. Wood wouldn't be beneficial in either situation. Looks good but not practical. Hopefully this answers some of your questions. Thank you for watching our tour video and commenting!
My daughter and I have been looking at the Minnie Winnie w/o slides, (in person) they are our favorite so far. The 2 we looked at were nicely built and furnished. Hopefully we will have one soon! Thank you for your video.

2 main reasons we don't care to get a slide: 1: risk of break down and repair cost 2: we like to stealth (yes I know we are in a camper) but we can't access all the rv with a slide in if we are in a parking lot or in a narrow wooded area...

I’m not opposed to slides but it’s nice to some no slide class Cs. I wish they’d make them with tables & chairs though because the dinettes take up so much space.

I had a Tioga for 25 years, that thing held on forever. I don't see why all new Class C have a bed. Such wasted living space when there is plenty of sleeping room over the cab. I'm about to retire and thinking of getting another Class C but with times as they are I think I'll ride it out a bit at home and see what's coming down the road the next few years.

Exactly. Lazy Daze (not Lazy Days) is at the top of the Class C RV mountain. Hand built, and strong as an ox. My ‘15 RB (no slides…ever) Hard as Hens Teeth to find used. Even harder to place an order for a new LD. Glad I ordered mine in 2014. Mass produced Class C’s will always pale in comparison to a LazyDaze.

I just need outlets in the kitchen! There is a Coffee pot Instant Pot Toaster Or air fryer I guess I can run an extension cord through a window over to the counter. The hook up post normally has a 20 am 110 outlet by the 30 or 50 amp outlets. However for dry camping that needs to be added
Another great informative video, Mike. Thank you The ones that have the separate bathroom and showers are nice, just wished the plastic curtain was grey or smoke... You know when the kids/grandchildren get to that modest age... Also wish in those shower's they would have a extra large sky light, being 6'3" it seems like i need to wear the sky light as a hat... Having said all that my Wife and I are getting a Jayco 24b with a full slide, hopefully no issues with the slide Thanks again for the video
So happy for you and your wife! Congrats! 🎉 These motorhomes usually have a privacy curtain between the living area and bathroom, so that helps! Thanks for all your support Richard. Safe travels and enjoy!

I seriously considered the Coachmen Freelander 27QB. However it did not drive as well as the the Sunseeker Classic 2440DS with the upgraded suspension. We loved the floor plan on the 2440DS. Yes it has slide outs Another negative I noticed on 2 of the 27QB - lift the sofa and you notice rust on the metal holding the sofa. Was supposed to see the rust on a brand new RV.

hello thank you for taking out the time to do a walk-through with all the RVs. I'm sad to say I didn't like any of them I don't like being constructed especially when I'm in bed and I have to pee real bad. I think that the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom or the little bed area should be a sliding a sliding door I'm a single person and I don't need to be constricted like that thank you for your time

I’ve been thinking for years on these types of motorhomes. Especially NO slides. Because I love doing cross country trips with very few stops. But my biggest concern is how well do these motorhomes stand up to constant road vibrations and bumps ??? What do you think?? Last year I went to San Francisco and I hit a bump of some kind (possible crack and uplifting of freeway). At 67mph that almost caused the front tires of my atlas SUV to lose contact with the roadway along with other vehicles behind me. I can’t comprehend what type of damage this would cause to a motorhome especially if the driver was not paying attention.
Hey Johns Fun, Unfortunately having a small home on wheels will take some serious wear and tear. We don't have the long term experience with any of these to give an actual answer. Best of luck and safe travels

Hi Den,
That sounds like an awesome remodel and I'm sure you saved a ton of money!
We did the same type of thing when we bought our Class C. We found a 2008 with under 9,000 miles on it and bought it for a fraction of the price of a new one. New Water heater, roof, fixtures, water pump, and shocks plus a few other mods and we are good to go!

Sounds awesome! Do you have a channel or social media to see pics of your RV?
Hi Tranka,
Many of our videos show our RV and so do many articles on the website.
YES! A reviewer who actually brings and uses a measuring tape! Thank you.
Thank you Chris! Being a former house builder, Mike definitely wanted to measure these spaces. Thanks for watching and commenting!
If I ever buy a class C...I would definetly want one with no slide outs and I think I'd rather want recliners instead of a dinette...pedestal tables instead....

Slide outs sound like a future liability for sure. I want a small comfortable class c for retirement in the near future

@@pamelamorales7081 I don't know how to go back in and add my pictures to this.

@@JustMe-ys6jj I have such decided opinions about what I want in an RV by now I should probably build my own! :)

My last Class C was a Lazy Daze, no slide. Loved, Loved, Loved it. I have owned at least 10 RVs, including a 40-footTag-axle Country Coach, so I know RVs.

My reasons for hating slides:
All very great points. Some people love them, some people hat them. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is the unit we have. It’s the perfect size inside but I wish it was 4’ shorter on the outside. We need an RV that is like Mary Poppins bag!
@@divegirl4811 love the Mary Poppins handbag idea! 😂

Another reason to opt for no slide outs - when doing alot of traveling and boon docking, some overnite locations like truck stops, walmart, cabellas etc. may not allow slideouts to be extended, which, depending on floorplan may make sleeping, cooking and bathroom access very difficult or impossible.

Where would you eat with no dinette?
@@alive-awake many RVs without a permanent dinette have a removable table that can be used inside or outside.

2 main reasons we don't care to get a slide:
1: risk of break down and repair cost
2: we like to stealth (yes I know we are in a camper) but we can't access all the rv with a slide in if we are in a parking lot or in a narrow wooded area...
Hey WayToSon,
Very good point!

Hey Mike, glad to see this video (5 Class Cs under 25’), they are really what I have been looking for. But I also noticed your Ravens fleece at the beginning of the video. Stay tuned for the Raven’s game this coming Monday night! Later, Tom

Better insulation with no slides as well. Slides will guarantee air/humidity getting in/out.
That's a great point that many people might not think of. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for watching and commenting!
The Winnie doesn’t even have room for a coffee machine! I always liked more counter space! 24:59
Counter space is essential!
I like the Redhawk the best. I was never a fan of split baths but this model has a sliding door to close off the rest of the coach where the Coachman has just a curtain. I also like the double basin sink.
Hey DAM,
We agree! Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike & Susan
Slideouts add weight, which lessens gas mileage. Also, traveling solo, I dont want to have to clean them off.

@@RVBlogger I already receive it. I like the content, but hard to read on my own.
Thanks for making the video.
I am looking for a zero slide out Class C.
I plan to solo travel soon and definitely want be able to pack up and drive away quickly if I didn't feel safe while camping outside of RV parks.
That's a great reason to have a drivable RV. I hope you find the perfect Class C for you and enjoy it! Please say hi if you ever see us camping!

We really like number 2. But I think we would have to custom it. For example, pull out the dining table and put in theater seating that reclines. But we really like the no slide one's. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲😎

THAT would be awesome!

I love your videos my husband and I are looking for something for down the road. I love the jackknife sofa do they come in the 22ft campers or only ones that are bigger? My husband and I are both on CPAP machine do any have space and plug ins for that it didn’t seem so in your video but maybe I missed it.
They really need to start putting the sinks in the corner of The counter like a Triangle It have a whole lot more room on the Counter top

I’m not opposed to slides but it’s nice to some no slide class Cs. I wish they’d make them with tables & chairs though because the dinettes take up so much space.
I agree to all that. We did make a tour video of Class Cs without dinettes. I personally like a flexible living space. Thanks for watching and commenting. ua-cam.com/video/oZIFIAAx60Q/v-deo.html

I really think I would like one without slides, but they're hard to find. I would really like one that you can get out either side of the bed but also want one < 25 foot for national parks and probably can't get both.
Hey John,
That sounds great! :)

I’d love to see a no slide class c with a bigger kitchen!
Agree. Any RV without slides sacrifices something.
Same here. A murphy bed is a must for us. Like you, gonna see what's down the pipe this year.

Aww shucks! I got all excited when I saw the title of this video because I own a class C with no slide-outs and I was hoping my brand was going to be featured. Oh, well. I thoroughly enjoyed the video nevertheless!
By the way, I couldn't be happier with the 2004 Gulf Stream Conquest LE Series that I have.
We too have a Gulf Stream Conquest (2008) Love ours too! Thanks for watching and commenting.

Exactly. Lazy Daze (not Lazy Days) is at the top of the Class C RV mountain. Hand built, and strong as an ox. My ‘15 RB (no slides…ever)
Hard as Hens Teeth to find used. Even harder to place an order for a new LD. Glad I ordered mine in 2014.
Mass produced Class C’s will always pale in comparison to a LazyDaze.
This is a great floor plan and it looks great for me and a girl friend sometimes who enjoys going to the ocean.

I just need outlets in the kitchen!
There is a
Coffee pot
Instant Pot
Toaster
Or air fryer
I guess I can run an extension cord through a window over to the counter. The hook up post normally has a 20 am 110 outlet by the 30 or 50 amp outlets.
However for dry camping that needs to be added
Another great informative video, Mike. Thank you
The ones that have the separate bathroom and showers are nice, just wished the plastic curtain was grey or smoke... You know when the kids/grandchildren get to that modest age...
Also wish in those shower's they would have a extra large sky light, being 6'3" it seems like i need to wear the sky light as a hat...
Having said all that my Wife and I are getting a Jayco 24b with a full slide, hopefully no issues with the slide
Thanks again for the video
So happy for you and your wife! Congrats! 🎉 These motorhomes usually have a privacy curtain between the living area and bathroom, so that helps! Thanks for all your support Richard. Safe travels and enjoy!
Do most people pull a vehicle for side trips or grocery atore or just drive the class c everywhere
I guess it depends if you are a weekender or longer. We didn't tow behind our Class C when we were a weekender, but others might. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Jayco Redhawk is my favorite.
And do any of these beds lift up for storage?

Hey Johns Fun,
Unfortunately having a small home on wheels will take some serious wear and tear. We don't have the long term experience with any of these to give an actual answer. Best of luck and safe travels
I like that Coachmen.
Hey EW,
We like that one too!
