CSP looks so dope
I had to use Adobe suite for school for years until the pandemic where we could use anything that worked for animation/illustration. I went straight into clip. As a student you get about half off the suite, but you have to do a yearly subscription instead of monthly. So $42+ a month for 12 months in one sum. I got clip studio on one of their half off sales and got the EX version so I can do animation.
These comparison videos are very helpful it helps one to choose what best for my type of work and what will work for my workflow

Wich version of clip studio were you using when shooting this video 1 2 or 3?
"Photoshop experience required" sound like a lack of understanding on part of the emloyer. Why would anyone care if you can do the job by scanning in your hand drawings and adjusting it in Pain MS kn a timely manner?
Because as the employer, I don't want to have to deal with someone's own weird method of retouching/painting when it comes to their files. The rest of the team is using PS, and you are expected to work with those files, in that application - not export everything out into a JPG, so that you can work as you like in MS Paint.
More like lack of understanding on the part of the applicant. There are lots of tools that are even better than the tools used in the industry. For instance a lot of people could make video game assets and movie assets would blender however studios already use Maya or ZBrush or something like that and they won't allow you to come into their workflow using anything different even if it is equivalent. The only way that would happen is if the entire team started using whatever you're using which is very unlikely. So you usually just have to use whatever is industry standard if you want a job in the industry. Also in your defense the employer could just say something like Photoshop experience required and just mean photo manipulation experience required while not actually referencing Photoshop as the specific app that you might need to use.

If you’re looking to manipulate photos: Photoshop is best. If you’re looking to draw, I’d go with Clip Studio.

You said "clip studio has so many brushes"...erm I don't agree...are you talking default brushes or downloadable ones?
i'm working with clip studio paint but i really dislike it. i even customize it but i really cant use it as photoshop😕i feel tired busy with pen pressure in clip studio paint for line art.. but i have to use clip studio paint cause of some amazing feature. i really feel bad

Touch screen laptop is best for animation or non touch screen
I wouldn't worry too much about your screen on your laptop being touch screen, I would worry about the power of the laptop. What helps is something like a Wacom either graphics, tablet or display graphics tablet where you have a pen instead of a mouse. It gives you a lot more control and you can draw your animations and things.

I have both. The main problem with CSP is performance. Working on a large canvas or with large brushes becomes torture. For me, the only significant advantage of CSP over PS is the ability to record video of the drawing process.
Most people recomend me to buy Clip Studio. I work my illustratiosn in photoshop, because It´s a software that I use for years, I never use Clip Studio, and annyone can show me how to use, and I think so that I could lose some time to learn how to use Clip Studio, so I take my dessicion to work with Photoshop ever. Maybe Clip Studio have a lot of things to do better works, but that thing are not enoff to make a good ilustration, your own skills are the principal.
just watch a few tuturial videos. it's better than photoshop and it aint that hard to learn for someone that already knows photoshop.

On a serious note, its very dependant on the user, im an animator so yall must thing? OH YOU USE CLIP?! nope, photoshop and harmony, industry standards exist for a reason. i would give its props to clip because the ex allows you to animate and it works amazing if you drawing more realistic type anime but i really use clip for personal draws and animations and Ps for work......
For me and my experience Photoshop is a clear winner in all aspects. much larger community and far trained specialists.

Photoshop has introduces ai to the game with generative fill and firefly integration. So that seems to throw csp right of the bat.
CSP has some kind of AI features like automatic filling and automatic shading, but image generating AI seems isn't needed because its supposed to make illustration than manipulate photos

@@puja1985why would people use AI on illustration softwares? I mean these softwares are ment to be tools of our creativity of both mind, eyes and hand. I leave AI illustration to Stable Diffusion because it can generate an anime character's illustration in seconds that something of myself needs hours and hours to finish it. And some of Stable Diffusion models has anime illustration that has the same quality as the best anime illustrator artist from, for example Pixiv.
As I understand it, when Celsys floated the idea of integrating AI, a lot of users were revolting, er, reVOLTED, so the company shelved the idea. Some features look mighty close to an AI workflow, anyway.
