I love how Mark can barely contain himself from bursting out laughing
Less control than Bill Hader in the Scared Straight sketches lol
I don't think we're seeing restrained laughter here. I think this is just what it looks like when an actor sincerely attempts to deliver nonsensical dialogue genuinely. How else would a human behave while these words are coming out of their mouth?
I love Bob Odenkirk so much. He has a great talent for acting. The remake of this scene is fascinating. Bob does a great job in this.
I would pay so much money to see Bob Odenkirk to do the entire movie with acting completely opposite from Tommy Wiseau. 😂

there is nooo wayyy that they literally shot the whole remake of the room only ONE DAY on a green screen. it’s absolutely insane! they should’ve just film the whole thing for like a few weeks or something.
its like 90 minutes why spend weeks
Stage plays exist...
If they were capable of doing it in a day, why would they spend weeks on it?
really don't understand this comment, The Room was known for being god awful with laughably simplistic and unrealistic dialogue, why are you at all surprised that professional actors can do it in one take? there's no special vfx or anything, all they need to do is read the script and walk around. "nooo wayyy" what are you, 12?
it's like going to the dentist and being surprised he knows what to do with your teeth, wow, it's not like he's trained years to do that or anything
It wasn’t me, it was Denny, he was the one!
Chris R didn’t send you? No Chris R?
omfg i love this! this will be so awesome, i can't wait to see the finished movie. bob odenkirk is such a good actor
I know the whole thing's meant to be The Room with good acting, and Bob Odenkirk's doing a great job but I feel like the guy playing Mark is worse than Greg Sestero. Like I don't think Greg Sestero is even particularly bad. He's a bit monotone but it's fairly naturalistic if you ignore the bad script. A lot of people do talk that way.
I think it's a joke. Bob did this so it would highlighting the worse part of it: the script.
Yeah too many pauses, facial expressions and a weird giggle tone. Looks like a UA-camr that edited themselves into the Odemkirk bits.
I always thought Greg did the best job in that movie
@@russallen2011 I thought the guy who played Chris-R was pretty good as well, given the ridiculous script he had to work with
@@russallen2011you can tell with good direction, he’d be a pretty decent leading man. Probably not iconic like Brad Pitt or Jaime Fox, but good in his own right.

Why are people having conversations in there?
And I thought these Gene scenes couldn't get any more emotional
Like Mark is struggling to remember his lines, I don't like his delivery, but Bob is awesome!
I like it. The struggling to remember makes it feel more authentic and less rehearsed. Like he’s thinking and coming up with what he wants to say, but is having trouble finding the words.
i can't stand this guy playing Mark. shitty delivery
To be fair, they shot the whole thing in like a day. I like it though. It looks like Bob went all out
Yeah, I also didn't like his delivery, should hired the original Mark instead.
I was always waiting for the camera to focus on Bob and his facial expression again.
The original feels like 2 robots talking, this feels like 2 human beings
I got the results of the test back, I definitely AM NOT CRAZY
This scene has attained the same significance as Hamlet’s famous soliloquy in the contemporary acting community. All the greats of modern acting will demonstrate their chops by acting out Wissau’s immortal script.
Brilliant
Who is talking in the background...
When's this coming out?? I need to see it!
are you sure this isn't just Larry David on a rooftop talking to a figment of his imagination?
I really want to be in the room when they thought this up
I feel like the only context where you can have make a movie with the dialog of The Room and have it not be hilariously bad is if you make it into a cosmic horror movie where the characters are human impostors that it makes sense that they would say these things.
WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS EXISTED UNTIL NOWWWW?!?!
Who are the mfs speaking in the background dude
i like how arkward this is. id totally see the heck out of this. .. I read somewhere bob did this for charity :)
Am I dreaming?! That's sick!
Holly S***. What a universe of difference a good actor makes.
Wtf? Why is this so good?😂
I imagined you could maybe sell this scene if you did really tight close ups of their faces as they look out to the landscape on the rooftop, much of it in voice over. You could also make it seem non linear as the struggle with lisa and the decline of his friendship with mark just happened 10 minutes ago, talking about the girl on guerrero street happened only a week ago when him and mark are still good buddies playing catch, in the present Johnny is falling into a suicidal drunken fueled rage as he slowly comes to terms that his lover has accused him of assault and his best friend has betrayed him. You might have to have different weather to make them distinct from another since it all takes place on a rooftop, past is beautiful sunshine, the moment just gone is a storm approaching and the present is rain. It would have to be very well shot and edited, make it chaotic and have a really loud score that could drown out some of the bad dialogue.
1:26 I ain’t gonna lie, Odenkirk’s Delivery there was way better than Wiseau’s

I'm confused. Is this from the upcoming The Room remake that hasn't been released yet? Where was this video filmed? Does anyone even know anything about the release of the movie? I heard it was originally set to be released in June at the 20th anniversary of the original film but so far I couldn't find any updates on this and there seems to be little to no information about the film available. I mean, is it even happening? Why is no one talking about this???
Ok, this has been driving me crazy too because of the lack of information online/this video's description, BUT from what I could find:
- This was recorded at a 20th anniversary screening tour, hence the people talking like it's a Rocky Horror screening.
- Greg Sestero was part of this, also promoting the remake by showing exclusive clips from both behind the scenes and post-production
- No official word on why the delay has happened or why there's been radio silence.
- My guess is that it's due to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes that, for which the cast and crew seem to all be participating and supporting in some capacity.
