That was one of the most sensible videos I’ve seen. Using the basic pencils we all start with and showing their capabilities. My medium is water colour pencils where the water disperses the final tones. It takes a bit more thinking once the paper is wet but I was extremely pleased with the knowledge you have armed me with. I’ve been sketching black on white and the colour process is enhancing. Thank you.
This is the kind of video I need! I want to get into coloured pencil work, but it can be such an expense - decent colored pencils aren't cheap where I live, and that can be extremely intimidating. I would love to see more videos like this one!!
I am not an expert with colored pencils. I've been using them just long enough to be capable of doing the basics, so I certainly don't know everything, but this is a video that tells me I REALLY have a long way to go. That's tough at my age. Excellent video. Well done, and well explained. And just a little bit depressing. I'm better with graphite than with anything else, with the exception of carving, which I can no longer do, but even there you art is at least four steps up the ladder from where I am. I didn't concentrate on drawing for most of my life. My concentration and focus were on carving, and I did put in a few years with oil for personal pleasure. Still, I've been drawing for fifty years off and on, but you make me feel like a beginner who has never seen a pencil. This is a very good thing, and it's a real pleasure to see your art, and how you create it. It's truly amazing.
Thanks for this. I've began drawing again during lockdown for the first time in a few years & didn't want to do skin tones like we were taught in art at School. This really helped me to find a way to shade in the friend I drew. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

You have taught me so much about how to layer colors on top another. I’m also a professional artist and have sold many of my pieces. Thank you for this tutorial it is great for all skill levels!
What I learned is that colored pencil art requires time and many many light layers. The hardest thing for me is getting a smooth burnished looking effect, but I see here just adding and combining layer after layer has that effect. Good video lesson for a beginner. Thanks.
I really liked how she explained that we don't need a lots of varieties of colours just to create different tones . Not everyone can just buy sets of 48 or 60 or more ... Very precise and good explanation 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you

But I like colored pencils and I don't know how I've never come across a video that explains so easily how to create skin tone and now I'm doing it like a pro and I have to thank you for teaching me that.
