Breathe normally. Usually setting a time for one's self, like 5, 7, 14 or 20 minutes at a time where one is comfortable with. Hence when done regularly each day, one can notice the breathing will eventually lengthen without the necessary effort. The important part is "attentiveness" where if an individual notice themselves focusing on other things, to then "attend" back to concentrating on the breath. It does require practice, patience and diligence but the rewards are more than worth it - especially now when one of the symptoms of the corona virus is loss of or hard of breath and breathing. Clearing the nasal passages as well as empowering one's self through the control of the breathing is a step towards true understanding of independence, individuality, freedom, oneness and awareness of self.

It was aweful. So I got Bimaxillary Jaw Advancement and it helped a lot! it has over 90% success rate in curing sleep apnea by opening up the airway behind your jaw, which is the main cause of most sleep apnea. I can finally sleep now without stopping breathing anymore.

I have tried it, it temporarily clears my nostrils, but the congestion always comes backs sooner or later, sometimes it clears them for as long as a week, but never much longer than that. On the other hand, using this method caused me a headache and broke minor blood vessels in my brain. This isn't necessarily a much better idea than partial turbinectomies are.

My mother has it, but im dute its directly related to her being anxious and to thibking negative thoughta. Shes cuteently not alowed any hypertension medication, as it would worsen her newly aquired arythmia (im cure due to Cov and Vac). The only thing that helps her reduce the BP is this type of breath trough nose: inhale for 4, hopd for 7, exhale for 8 counts.
She waa always a nose breather but now went to mouth breathing, also since that peeiod last few years.

Wish this would of come with a warning to be careful if you have neck issues. I really messed up my neck by doing these exercises. It’s very stiff and sore. It only helps clear for a few minutes anyway then the congestion comes back.

I tried for a while to breathe only from the nose and I was focused a lot on closing the mouth ... but many times I feel uncomfortable and that the mouth needs to be opened to get more air ... Usually the mouth opens automatically when there is no air ... but I have to constantly open in a way Being independent of the mouth has always been automatic ... How do I change the habit of the brain stopping being aware of breathing and mouth for the restoration of the automaton?

I think that is why they recommend taping the mouth shut. You can also use something else to remind you not to open your mouth, like a pendant placed between the lips like Dr. Mike Mew suggests. Anything that reminds you to keep your lips sealed really. But obviously, taping would be the best way when you go to bed.
