    Yup! I agree 💯, the Ezone Tour definitely has feel, great with volleys, has spin, it’s also great for counter punchers, return of servers, serves, and the plow through that the regular Ezone doesn’t have.

    Great analysis on these frames and thank you for sharing your racket journey. Tiafo plays with the regular V Core Pro 97 with lead at 3 and 9 I believe. Hubert Hercazk plays the 97H you feature in your video. I switched from a Prostaff 97 v13 to the V Core Pro line last year. I started off with the 97D(18x20) and gave up after a year of trying to gel with it. Picked-up the standard 310g and weighted it at 3 and 9 and weight in the handle. Plays great, but still looking for more swing weight so am tempted by the 97H but fear it’ll be too much racket for me. The new V Core Pro line launches mid-August, so will wait to see what tweaks Yonex have made to the V Core Pro line 🤞

    and in response to your question, i'm using a babolat pure drive vs (98). good power and spin, but the feel is a little jarring. on a bit of a break, but whenever i get back into competitive tennis, i will definitely check out the yonex line!

      The pure drive can definitely be a bit stiff and unforgiving. If you're coming from a pure drive, highly recommend something from the ezone line.

    Great video, keep it up. i recently started playing tennis again after a long break and i've been demoing racquets . I definitely liked the Ezone Tour more than the Pure Drive Tour. I felt like the stiffness of the Babolat would give me trouble over time. I could also control the ball way better with the Ezone, the Pure Drive seemed to be flying on me a bit. I'm also going to try the Vcore 100 and the Head Radical Pro before making a decision , but i'ts going to be tough to beat how much i enjoyed the Ezone Tour

      Definitely know what you mean. The Ezone is for sure more comfortable, better feel. Pure drive is a bazooka! Idk how I played with it for so long 😂😂

    Man, this video speaks to me. Thank you for putting this out.
    I was using the TF40 and contrary to what I thought, a lighter frame does not necessarily mean more comfort
    I didn’t have stability and when hitting against powerful shots, I would feel all the damn vibrations and eventually aggravated my bicep/arm. Adding to the mix I would overswing because the TF40 seriously lacks power, even at low tension
    After checking out the Aero and reading reviews, the Ezone Tour looks like a good option for stability, plow and comfort. Although what scared me were the sheer number of people complaining about arm issues.
    How’s your arm these days?

    • @BSTennis
      @BSTennis  Рік тому

      Better but still not 100%. Do NOT go for a lighter racket, please take it from me. Ruined my elbow.

    It makes sense you would choose the ezone as the ezone line is the competitor against the pure drive line. Also comparable brands to pure drive would be Dunlop fx500, head instinct and Wilson ultra if you are interested. I use the Dunlop, grats on your yonex😊

    • @BSTennis
      @BSTennis  Рік тому +1

      I think so too, but they really have a very different feel. The Ezone is much more muted and less “ping-y”. Pure drive with bigger pop and spin potential.

    • @nd7434
      @nd7434 Рік тому +1

      @@BSTennis for sure spec wise they are same on paper but the feel is very different, pure drives to me always felt like a hollow tinny frame to me, I chose the dunlop because it had a nicer crispy feel. The ezone would be a close second for me but I didn't like its dampened feel.

    I recently switched from a wilson prostaff 97 to a the Ezone 98 Tour as well. I gave up a little spin for more control and plow. I just love the control I have with the Ezone 98 and when I want I can hit monster flat balls.

      @@tomr1056 I don't know about new versions but I have v11 PS 97 and compared to the Ezone 98, the Ezone has more control and less unpredictable balls. I Ezone has a dense string bed at the sweetspot compared to the more open bed of the ps 97. I got more spin with the ps 97, but also had problems with ball placement. On the Ezone 98 I'm getting a more consistent ball, easier placement, and better serves.

    Thank you for this review. Heavier racquets are better for the arm. I switched to ezone tour as well. And arm problems are gone. There is an interesting video from a HEAD representative also validating that. Players should go with the heavier racquet they can handle. Added weight equals stability.

    Hi! Very nice video, thank you for sharing!!! I come from a PA100/300g, I tried ezone 98/305 , I really like the control and precision but I did not like the stiffness and (maybe because I came from a spin frame) the ball goes too much long with the EZ. So I studied a little bit more and discovered that vcore tour98/315 can me my next frame, spin/control and less stif than the ez, so it should be something like the pa100/300 that I’m using now, but with more power control precision and consistency , have you ever thought to switch to vcore tour??? Your comment will be very helpful for me, thank you!!!

    Yes! Yonex make great rackets.
    -
    The Ezone is the stiffest Yonex racket. how is it possible you can cure your golfarm with that frame?
    If I looked for a heavier armfriendly stick I would go with the VCore Pro;)
    (but thats just me: I personally prefer more the rackets on the control side.
    The choice for a specific racket is very individual.
    and generally you prefer a similar racket you are familar with. the switch from.a powerhouse like the Babolat pure drive to the Yonex Ezone is a logical consequence.

    thank you for sharing your racket journey.
    I have been tempting to try Ezone Tour 98 and i think i will now.
    i am currently VCore 98 with 4 4" lead tape on 3 and 9 plus 2 dimes in the butt cap.
    I also have a very sensitive elbow from years of playing. So I use hybrid string setup and a dampener.
    no issue since.
    question though:
    Ezone Tour is already 332 g heavy and 300 on the swing weight
    do you still need lead on 3 & 9?

    • @BSTennis
      @BSTennis  Рік тому

      Honestly, you can probably rock the ezone tour stock, I'm just a big fan of lead at 3 and 9. When I used the regular ezone 98, even with lead, it felt too light, so I went with the tour. Play around and see what you like best!

    Hi.
    Thanks for the video. I am a 3.5-4.0 player. I am a Ezone 98 user but started out on an RF98 which is my number 2. I am seeing some arm problems with the Ezone, most of it I attribute to my technique and my self-correcting that I am seeing that less of a problem. However on those days where I feel sore or feel the Ezone feels too powerful, I switch to the RF98 and that certainly helps and I am able to control my shots a lot better though I recognize it is an advance player racquet.
    I am curious about what said regarding how the tour help with your arm problem. Particularly I am wondering if the higher weight has helped absorbed that shock as I suspect when I use the RF98. Can you elaborate further?
    Overall I like the Ezone and have now been able to control it more and am still experimenting with strings (Hypercore Soft 17) but have been considering demoing the Tour. My goal would be eventually to have 2 of the same racquets so that I can develop consistency but not wreck my arm further.
    Thanks.
    Raul from Brooklyn

    • @BSTennis
      @BSTennis  Рік тому

      Hey Raul! Yes, the weight has definitely helped. My biggest mistake was not adding weight when I used the vcore 98. Typically, a heavier racket will help with stability and vibration absorption. I am currently using the Ezone tour with lead at 3 and 9 on the head. I haven’t weighed it, but if I had to guess strung in total I’m at about 340 grams.
      In regards to arm issues, strings also play a huge roll as well!
