This is one of the best review formats that I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. It’s clear and concise. No repeating the same crap over and over. We’ll done! Now, one last thing. What the hell is the loud ass grunting when you hit the ball. I am hearing this more and more at the club-player level. It annoys the hell out of the players on adjacent courts and is completely unnecessary. Otherwise, excellent review format. Bravo!
Nice review, I was curious about this racquet, some guys I know recently bought/switched to this frame, after seeing this review I might need to have a go myself.
Great review, keep measuring the rackets you review that's a difference maker. I'm on the Tour for now, got mine with a leather grip to bring it closer to 6 points HL for my 1 hander. It's about 325mm now. I had TW find a pair at 316.56g 32cm 303sw unstrung.
Thanks for the review! Contemplating buying the Tour version - just slightly surprised by the 4pts head light only. For a racket of this weight they are usually more like 6-10 pts head light. Does it still feel easy and quick to swing despite this? The swingweight on the standard version is way lower - like 318 compared to 332. Thanks
Pure Strike 16x19 is like this as well and is one of the best racquets I’ve personally ever hit with. You don’t need super headlight racquets to create playable frames. They also don’t need to be hefty in static weight either.
Once the unstrung weight and unstrung balance is measured can the swingweight SW can then be calculated based off those measured values? Is it necessary to *measure* the SW once the other weight and balance are measured? 🤔
your elbow flexed in the backhand is very strange... it seems that you need to stay very close to the ball to be able to execute it... if the ball comes far, how do you do it?
Yes, but it takes too much tinkering to get it just right. When engineers make the racquet with a higher SW at the factory, the weight is usually distributed better throughout the frame.
Not quite, if you look at the Tennis Spin review, coach GU or one of the coaches noticed the Tour has the same tapered width throat treatment as the Regna 98, I didn't notice but since I switched from Regna to the Tour I looked and confirmed it. It's one of the special things that gives the Regna it's magic, the Tour has it. I also have a regular Ezone 98, which doesn't have this treatment.

Haha, perhaps I’ll need to turn the volume down when hitting 😅

It's not luck, it's Yonex legendary quality control!
Great review but can I just check if this Yonex Ezone comes with the silicone throat grommet which is flexible but disintegrates over time?
What’s the difference with your version from regular?
How would you compare Ezone Tour to Pure Strike Tour 3d Gen., if you tried the latter?

Yes, I found it to move surprisingly quick through the air.

I'm thinking about exchanging the Pure Drive Tour for the Yonex Ezone 98 Tour? What do you think? There is less stiffness.
Yes, I’d say also slightly more control and feel. Little less power though.
Hey, do you think it's a good idea too add leather grip on the tour ?
If you don’t have a sensitive arm then it could be a good idea…

You can estimate and get pretty close…
What's better, Yonex Ezone 98 (2022) or Yonex Vcore 98 (2023)?
I’m thinking about doing a video on that right now. Stay tuned!
Hyper G 1.25,tension? Btw my Ez98T has those identical measured specs
52lbs
Great review
Thanks!
Does tour have more power on serve or ezone 100?
Depends on if someone’s technique is good enough to swing them at the same speed. If it is then the 98 tour would offer more power.
Which other 98 has ezone tour power n can still hit flat backhand
Any brand?
@@simmstennis any
The Aero 98 comes close

I just take another step 🤗
Just stick some lead tape on the standard one. No need for the Tour IMO.
That works too!

Yonex is really losing their quality control
