What a drag! To have to go to 3 Christmas markets, have 2 Bratwurst sandwiches, a crepe, cream n chocolate concoction, a couple of coffees, mulled wine, hot chocolate and a beer...Merry Christmas!
I absolutely agree about the waiting room in Aberdeen that nobody uses! I’m offshore working as a steward on the Nelson Platform, we guys kept in the laundry whilst the women set up the mess room tables for the Christmas meal! Hope you having a lovely Christmas
I'll always have a soft spot for Edinburgh. But it all looked great. Merry Christmas, Dom! And looking forward to wherever you take the channel in 2024.
Merry Christmas, Dom! We’re home for Christmas. It’s foggy and very green. Love your festive day out. If you hadn’t left the train in Glasgow you’d have ended up in my old hometown of Helensburgh. We watched your video late on Christmas morning. What a treat. They all look lovely. Edinburgh with the castle though is hard to beat. Hope you have a great Christmas!
Another great one Dom. Couldn't believe the coincidence in this one. My daughter took me into the waiting room at Aberdeen for the first time a fortnight ago. Lived there all my days, didn't realise it existed and I've been raving about it since! Merry Christmas to you sir!
oh SNAP in that case 😅 Glad you liked it David, it was as you know a very last minute video. Hope you and the family had a great Christmas yourself and have a good Hogmanay also!
Call me Ebenezer Scrooge but I believe goodwill to all men has fallen by the wayside and so called "Christmas Markets" share the same mission statement.....never give a sucker an even break. I liked the first train journey as dawn was breaking 👍
While I liked the markets personally, I completely agree. It’s more about the commerce now than the underlying message and sprit of Christmas. Christmas markets are essentially Morden farmers markets/fairs with lightbulb decorations. Personally I’m not huge on the modern western version of Christmas it feels very put on and fake that’s why I find myself leaning more towards celebrating Hogmanay and just have a quiet Christmas with close family.
Really enjoyed watching this video Dom, have you got a new camera too by any chance ? It was great to see what the different Markets have to offfer and the scenery along the route. MERRY CHRISTMAS (ik your working ) but hope you had a good one, see ya soon
I do have a new camera indeed but will be a while until you see it utilised in all new videos due to the backlog of recorded videos I have. Marry Christmas to you also 😁
Which market do you think was best?
Lovely video. I thought though there are more stalls inside Aberdeen's Marischal College?
Omagosh! I didnt think that would be possible to do in one day! 🙌 Fab! ❤️
Yes you can! it took a bit of planning but definitely doable, it was a great day out! 😃

You missed the wold famous Dundee Christmas market! 😂
Next time! Maybe when they put it on like they used to. I heard this year they had cut back a lot sadly.
