Recently flew Play from BWI to Paris CGD. Great flight, great service. We did upgrade our seats to 1A and 1C. More room. And, of course, nobody booked 1B. Can't beat that!

I saw the active vulcano from the window when I flew to Copenhagen. I also ordered some food, and on the box it said: PLAY with your food. 😂
I think the priority boarding comes free when you pay to bring an extra bag with you for the overhead. This could be to allow all the folks with more stuff on first as to not hold everything up while they are putting their bags overhead.

I've flown with them twice: once from NY to Dublin and the other from NY to Paris. Both times we had a great experience. Would definitely fly with them again.

I have been to Iceland last year and I absolutely loved the scenery coming into the airport. It’s so vast many of great places to stay so many good places to go just overall Iceland is the best trip I have ever been on.
Good video Dom. Usually people get priority boarding because you have to purchase it if you want two cabin bags. Cannot speak for Play but when flying on Ryanair or EasyJet I quite often purchase it so I can take two cabin bags if on a shorter trip. They do not allow you Teo cabin bags without priority which is pretty standard nowadays. And to make sure you get overhead locker space. For trips longer than a week I just check a bag in and don’t bother with priority lol
Nice one dom play ,play seem too be doing good job I like the distinctive red less busy mix colours nice and bright if play were too expand into railway's or bus / coaches then we would have play at station 😊
This is timely for me. I am flying New York (Stewart) to Keflavik to Amsterdam on PLAY. I paid extra for seating, legroom - all the extras - so I hope it goes smoothly. I usually fly transatlantic from Newark nonstop, but Stewart is so close to my house that it’s worth the connection.
Fantastic! PLAY definitively is on the higher end of budget airlines and the connection in Keflavik does give you some time to stretch your legs which is nice. 😁 Have a Fantastic trip!

For what I've seen, the "priority boarding" is just a perk of the passengers who had to pay extra for extra baggage. Not everyone is buying is specifically, but the people who have a briefcase or a carryon sized bag just happen to get it over those with the lowest level ticket.

That really was an outstanding flight and recline I honestly don’t ever remember that on any low cost flight we’ve had . Staff wonderful and I have to try that orange and beer . I really really hope play and Norse succeed because you need healthy competition. Can’t wait for the 767 flight review , cheers again my friend loving the channel

Boarding first guarantees space in the overhead bin for your luggage.
That is actually a very good point. You see I always travel with a bag that fits under the seat in-front & if I do need more I get a check-in bag as 9 times out of 10 for me its going to be things I can't realistically take onboard with me. Thanks for pointing that out I never considered that angle. 😁
@@WorldWide_Dom I learned that perk when I hurt my knee on a trip and I was allowed to pre-board several flights. I haven't checked a bag in about 20 years. I used miles to get a business class for a flight to a wedding so that I could board with an extra free bag with my suit. Normally, I use a small rolling carry-on. I have also stuffed everything I needed into a brief case sized bag to avoid the fees with Frontier. That flight was $18 USD round trip. I couldn't pass up that fare.
Im taking my second trip on play in may... NY KEF DUB... I Think they are a great Airline and service. 140 cheaper than Aer lingus and United, and i can carry on 2 backpacks and check in a 20kilo bag aswell
Is it my imagination, whenever I’ve gone through Glasgow airport it seems so quiet. Even multiple UA-cam videos it seems quiet. I know Edinburgh now the main airport. Honestly last time I went through Glasgow Airport literally I passed no more than 10 people walking through the whole airport at that was during a working day at 11am

Definitely aiming for the higher end of budget airlines, they are really good and Iceland 🇮🇸 is just one of my favourite places in the world.

Great information, but this is too low end for me to fly across the Atlantic. Norse is a much better option if they go where you want to go. Costs a small amount more but it seems it is much more comfortable (scary to say that but Norse really offers great value).
Million dollar question on these. How were they with bags and checking personal items?
Booked a return from Stansted to Toronto in November and it's less than £200 with play.

I flew Play from Glasgow to Reykjavik on TF-PPB, making an onward connection to New York Stewart Airport in July of this year. The Glasgow to Reykjavik leg was quite empty even during the peak summer season. I don't currently see any further Play flights from Glasgow past January, so the service may be coming to an end unfortunately!
Indeed. In fact after today there are only, from what I can see on its website, three days on which Play flies from GLA. Final flight on January 2.

I know it was a really handy flight and Glasgow just seems to keep losing routes just now, it’s very sad.
U didn’t mention that u had 2 pay for ur food & drink. As well as all the extra fees they add in to the ticket ( taxes, etc.) at least here in the US.

Another brilliant video Dom. But......through security before the first coffee? That's not like you! I'm with you on the speedy boarding scam. It really is only a factor on full flights with the overhead bins capacity. Whole row to yourself though....bonus!
I also fail to see the point of Speedy/Priority Boarding! Why pay extra to stand in a queue for 40 minutes just to get on first, whilst I sit comfortably waiting to be invited to board with my already pre-booked seat!? 😂

This is largely universal from airline to airline across aircraft types.
I'd rather get on first and sit towards the FRONT and get off first.
You can book the seats at the front without booking to get on first.
