100% agree that it is EXTREMELY lame that Chase Bays makes no mention of possibly needing that $50 banjo bolt on an already $500 power steering kit. I guess some cars came with a banjo and some come with a stud? My 92 Laurel has a stud. I thought they made an error and didn't include the banjo bolt. But I guess it's by design on their part. They're weird for that. Now I have to shell out another $50 costing precious time as well. Good video though, made me realize I wasn't going crazy.
@@Hatopura I think They should at least have it in the product description that you need that bolt for sure! Also the drain line for the pump is kind of short to the point where it’s kind of kinked 🥲 Other than that I like the kit/ style
I’m about to buy this kit, except with a cooler. You’re going to boil the fluid without some type of cooler or loop, as the stock lines consist of a cooling loop on the return. Friend’s car has the loop removed and the fluid boils with typical easy daily driving.
Appreciate the advice, I was hoping I wouldn’t have to spend the extra couple hundred on a cooler. It however does have the factory ones on the back of the rack, do you think it will still have the overheating issues?
For o rings you should use the fluid that’s in the system to lubricate them. All o rings that are designed for a system should cooperate with the fluid in the system
