Had never seen this kit before. This is actually a really cool bolt on kit.
Absolutely, especially if you ever consider adding a PS cooler - makes that super easy!
Replaced my rack and the hard lines and when I did I went to put the high pressure line back in and couldn't get it to thread onto the new rack at all. Ended up getting the ISR one and it worked perfectly, threaded on no problem. No leaks anywhere either. If you're doing a rack swap just go ahead and get the energy suspension bushing replacement and all the aftermarket lines. It'll save you so much hassle.
Good points John. Easy to knock them out once, while the power steering system is open and only have to re-fill/bleed it one time. My rack bushings were still solid - so luckily those didn't need replaced.
thanks man, btw you've been inspiring me to get resources directed back at my s14. jealous of all you guys out there in NA/KA's the other day even tho you missiled your car. lmao
I was debating if this kit was worth it. Ive had a terrible experience with the chase bays one. Ill be buying the isr kit. Thank you!
Only issue I had with mine was the reservoir to pump line (only one that uses a hose clamp) was very small and hard to install.
Did you have to cut the line because I'm trying to install mine and it was too long so it kept kinking
loving all these uploads recently.
Loving all this recent content! Keep it up Will👍
Thanks Ben. Anything you would like to see in addition?
Keep Drifting Fun Personally, I really enjoyed the drifting video at Adams. Being a drift novice myself it was cool to hear all the different tips and techniques. Some more videos showing your progression would be awesome!
Thanks for the comment. I have another Grange Motor Circuit day shot - where I worked on entries and e-brake work as well. I'll try to find a way to shoot myself digesting each run for more analysis. Really appreciate the feedback!
Loving the videos. Keep it up KDF!
Enjuku seems to only advertise these kits for the s13. I’m assuming this video confirms universal fitment with the s14?
that looks so much easier than mine. i made my own full kit a few years ago with a cooler in line.
Glad kits like this exist, I hate trying to buy AN adapters and sizing lines. Thanks for the comment Gaelen, good to hear from you as always dude!!
Keep Drifting Fun I feel ya there! I have a box of random AN fittings I've bought and never used for various projects haha.
Are you going to run a cooler with yours one day?
Keep up the great work Will. Love seeing what's going on down there. I'll bring the 34 down one day for a jam day.
Potentially, I like that it's easy to plumb one in with the AN fittings and lines now. I feel like without the stock cooling loop - it would be worth monitoring temperatures at an event to see if it would help. Uhh yea please bring down the 34 :)
Keep Drifting Fun yeah that part is nice. I used to boil over my PS a lot. Once I did the cooler it never happened again. Not sure if it was the turbo heating it up though.
Haha. Count on it once I've finished it. Might load up the 40ft and bring a friend down too. We both want to jam some Cali tracks pretty bad.
I put in a braded and coated high pressure line in my s13 cause it was actually spewing fluid everywhere lol
I just realized they spelled Performance wrong on the title. Anyways, loving the recent videos! But I do wanna know the difference between this kit and OEM. Mines needs replacing.
What did you do with the power steering pressure switch?
why the hard lines on the rack? doesnt seem like it would help any? good video though. i like that high pressure line
The stock lines are a hard line/brake line style - the replacement lines are braided stainless which is more flexible and impact resistant. As I mentioned in the video if you pull the engine a few times you might catch one of the original lines and bend it.
Did ur high pressure line come with a washer and is it necessary to use?
So i need to replace my high pressure line, i see where one end goes down at the bottom by the rack, but does the other end attach to the pump? Its semi hard to see in the video
I put the lower lines on and the fittings stretched connection fitting to the rack and ruined my rack .
Does the kit come with the adapters for the AN fittings?
do this kit come with all fittings included or no???
Where do you guys jack up your s13 lmk
whats the story on that 930?
Had it for a while, euro spec 1984 3.2 Carrera. RUF Speedline wheels. It doesn't get any love because I like Nissans more.
I enjoyed the video. But someone needs to get better with the camera; it was making me sick with it being too shaky and out of focus.
I didn't know ISR made a replacement reservoir, I'll have to look into this.
Thanks for the comment Michael, had one of our friends fill in on camera duties - will be better in the future! Appreciate the feedback.
Would this work for the SOHC?
Not sure, my knowledge of s-chassis is limited to mostly s14's and dual cams. However the reservoir should bolt up and as long as the rack and steering pump are the same as the dual cam's I don't see why it wouldn't...
I've got an sohc and the lines are on the opposite side of the bay. Not sure if they'll fit, but I need new lines and don't want to buy oem.
Was that atf fluid for powersteering ?
240s use ATF fluid for power steering
Love you will (No homo)
$315? Jesus fuck that's expensive
Stainless Steeling lines & AN fittings ain't cheap. I spent that much building an oil cooler kit at Earl's hardware.
