Glad to see an updated version of the old video, excited to see the turbo ka since im doing the same ❤
Not usually a pain, sometimes it's a relief because I know the to - do list is much shorter than my own projects 😅 Figured this job would be a good one to share with you guys!
Had the same predicament with my v8 Headers. I ran both lines around the front of the oil pan and 180'd back down the passenger side. I had more clearance on that header side. Ls oil pan and cd009 doesn't let you running underneath the pan unless your stock ride height. 🤙
Probably be better off long term getting a single fitting with the desired angle for the lines out of the rack. Less failure points, but thank you for this info, something I’ve been curious about for a while 👍🏼👍🏼
Love the vids man, you are currently one of the only channels I been waiting for new content from day to day. Keep it coming, much appreciated. Hopefully we will see a junkyard video soon again, those got me started with you channel. Much love from Germany
Hey mike I always go to harbor freight if it’s around you guys and get the jumper cable packs and use those and cut them up to what I need them for they save a lot of $ hopefully you have one around town and can stock up on wire they have multiple different gauges as well
@10:40 in future, just add a flat tab onto the bottom of your bracket, then drill hole through that tab, so you can rivnut the chassis, and blot this 3 legged bracket down to chassis fllow, via the flat tabs with holes you welded to bottom of each post. other then that, this is an awesome install. i prob woulda had pump closes to teh strut tower as possble so less invading to trunk space when seat is folded down. but all in all lit!
This is pretty cool. I thought about going this route but went with the Prius electric setup. You should check that out. Requires no fluid or maintenance.
That's a cool video I might use kit for my Nissan Silvia thank you for the advice I might use the Volvo power steering pump and I might order the lights and everything else keep up the good work Pizza Mike
Thanks bro for an updated ver. I'm gonna be doin this in my ka-t coupe here soon just waiting on my 180 amp alt. I have a ton of electronics like my Haltech 1500, IC7, DBW etc. This way I wont overload the already overloaded system.
def get on ground and spin back and forth about 300 times. turning wheel and having it jump about an inch or two at a time s from air pockets in the rack. def wanna get alll those out o system before road driving.
This is dope since Ive been wanting to go this route for my RSX instead of using the EP3 Civic EPS rack. Theres a pump controller on ebay that lets you turn a knob and get full power out of it, instead of the 75% max without the canbus. Not cheap at 100 bucks.
ptfe line is hte best to use for p.s or atf fluids. as they are corrosive fluids. high pressure is essential as well. but want appropriate liner so lines wont leak from sweating over time.
I know there is a ford electric power steering pump that uses a special mineral oil. Regular power steering fluid or Auto transmission fluid will stuff the pump. Since Ford owned Volvo its possible the tech was shared between platforms
I love videos like this that really show you how to do something... Dunno if I'll ever do this mod unless my stock pump dies, but if I ever do, I now know where to start! Also... oooh which car's getting drop knuckles?

17:55 Rare to see someone actually hold the hand brake button untill its in possition and then release to lock it in, instead of cranking it across all of the teeth.
I believe the connectors for the pump you listed in the descriptions are 30728420(big, rounded connector with 3 locating tabs), 30658215(small)I was not able to find the pins but you should be able to find a connector kit under just the housing numbers.
Awesome video man . Very tidy and inclusive install, was it just the camera angle making the low pressure return fitting on the pump look like it was just barely on ?
Square tubing or any tubing you paint the outside but it’s raw metal inside of the tubes do they make straws like wd40 for spray paint to shoot inside of the tubes if not will a pb or wd nozzle that has straw insert work on a paint can
Curious how loud the pump is being inside the cab. That’s one of my only reservations on doing this to my 95 Talon. Don’t want a super loud whine in the cab.
what was the clicking noise in driveline, when wheels spun the clicking was in relation to the rpm or wheel speed? car looks soooo fn nice, livery is modded even being chrome but on the blue car. looks soooo fn sick!
have you got any tips for installing power steering on a non-power steering car? power steering was never an option on it, so there's no ''OEM'' way of installing it. maybe a prius electric setup or something could be made to work?
bel housing bolts ??? optional apparently. also if your going to have oil inside the car. you really want it in a sealed metal box. so in case of a roll over. or major accident. You don't get covered in flammable hydraulic fluid. its a good reason to keep all that stuff outside of the passenger compartment.
The reason for going up a gauge is because of voltage drop off. In my mind it would really matter if you used the same or bigger as the distance isnt that far
Would it be a good idea to run a PS cooler for this if youre running it in the bay? I wanna do this setup on a Zenki but want to keep my trunk for trunk things
yes, def jumping spider, and grenn parts where its front fangs =] they are harmless to us though, awesome to have around, they eat flys and masquitos and hornets and all the insects we dont want around, they have for lunch and dinner lol

It's a same side intercooler, very common for RB motors that run the traditional cross over pipe on the intake. One port is cold side and the other is hot side
