- Finally had spare some time to record a decent take of this. I used a new method so you'll notice the sound is much better than any other video I have posted. Vocal could be better but keep in mind this is a live take. Hope you enjoy it!
Can’t believe this is 14 years old. I used to jam these Tool and APC covers all the time. Dude is incredible.

Of all the praises you could offer this video, that seems like the weakest one to me. Can you really say there's just one valid understanding of this song?
The sheer complexity of what you just done i think goes above many people's heads. This is like savant-level. Definitely one of the most talented people i've ever seen.
And then there are some people like me who attempt understanding that sheer complexity, and get totally mindblown like the OP. Stellar composition, and my goodness, what a lovely voice to pair with complex playing - phew. Excellent - glad to be introduced to this in 2023 !
The fact that this has been on the interwebs for 10 years and I've just discovered it hurts my soul. This is unbelievable. Not a single bung note. And the climactic high vocals at the end = boner. I'm assuming the 153 dislikes were just accidents. And I don't mean they hit dislike by accident - but that their parents literally conceived them by accident

What the fuck man, I just can't appreciate it enough. It makes me want to die in all the good ways. As a person whose favorite musical artist is Tori Amos and whose favorite band is Tool, can't thank you enough for all of your music. It is all incredible.

you have a good voice but it's too singy for tool. needs more emotion and less classical training in my opinion. fantastic piano playing, though!
I think being more 'singy' in this version is perfect. Especially being a softer piano cover, also without using effects on the voice being more singy fills in the gaps that a whole band would fill. I definitely understand what you're saying though
