Eventually got a chance to see your video - so glad you like this. Like me with my channel, you are discovering amazing music. I was recommended this song from one of my subs about 2.5 years ago and fell for them immediately. They have a lot of good music, and the live videos are great. Sadly their original guitarist died in 2016. He was 40. Such a tragedy and a loss. Dig deep into their catalogue, it is rich and rewarding! Have fun dude :)
Thus was my first listen ever. Went to my local music shop and they had one choice "Lost n Found - Live at Tilburg" 2 CDs and 1 DVD. Released December 2020... Listening now and definitely recommend. Can't wait to watch the show tonight. Then will send on to DS9... Hope others give this group a listen. I don't find new groups all that often. Great day for me. THANKS Daniel! OMG just realized this tune is done at this live show! I get to watch this tonight! So sweet.... Changed my mind. Can't let it go. Keeping. Just ordered a new one for DS9... Called them back, ordered another, might as well send one to JustJP as a search showed he has not done them either.... Just watched the show. They came out and did this tune as the first encore followed by two others. Really great show. Can see each musician perform their magic on every song. VERY ENJOYABLE!
@@sharonm6262 I'm glad I could provide a chuckle. If you go to UA-cam and look on this album It has three of the tracks as actual videos from the show that's what Hooked me, and I made it a bday present...
Will look for a LP... do you have a recommendation to use as an intro... I actually called my local music shop and they didn't have any vinyl but they did have a 2 CD and DVD combo called Lost and found. I told him to put it aside for me. Picked it up. 1/2 way through audio. Really good. Looking forward to the DVD, as it is a live show. I'm pretty sure Daniel will like this. Will pass on to him after watching the concert with desert tonight...
Artists are the folks we send into the darkness as forward scouts , to all the places we fear to go Then we ask them to report back to us what they found there Painters poets musicians sculptors dancers You name it Riverside are in this category And what they report back is pretty damn exciting inspiring revealing
The first three albums were prog metal with a hint of thrash. They became more atmospheric as their career progressed. Very exciting band to see live in concert. Great songwriting and musicianship on every album.
Thanks for introducing me to Riverside. You've introduced me to some other interesting artists but this is the first that had me immediately ordering the CD as soon as your video ended. I just subscribed a few months ago and really enjoy your reactions. I've been delving into your older videos and particularly enjoyed your reacting to Iron Butterfly's In a Gadda da Vida as that was my very first rock album which I got on my 9th birthday. A couple of requests - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and Snake River Conspiracy. I first saw Bela Fleck on The Arsenio Hall Show. I was fortunate to see them live a few months later and made sure to sit where I had a good view of the bassist. Search Bela Fleck Arsenio. This version of Sinister Minister has a spoken/rap intro to the band. A longer, live version can be found searching Bela Fleck Mountain Jam. Snake River Conspiracy was founded by Jason Slater (previously of Third Eye Blind) who just died this past December. They only released a single CD in 2000 but it was really good. It featured original material and covers as well, notably The Cure's Lovesong and The Smiths' How Soon Is Now. Both covers are excellent as is Breed, an original. They started work on a 2nd album but due in large part to a falling out between Jason and vocalist Tobey Torres it was never released. Some of the unreleased tracks can be found here on UA-cam. Keep rockin' Daniel.
Riverside are a superb band, and you have tons of brilliant music to discover from them. The lead singer Mariusz Duda has a wonderful smooth golden voice, for me one of the best I've ever heard in rock. To celebrate 10 years as a band they released 'Memories in my Head'. It consists of just 3 excellent songs, but it sounds like one huge epic of about 30 minutes!
Riverside is just one of the handful of neoprog groups that have carried the torch of modern progressive rock. Others include Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic, Big Big Train, IQ, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Dream Theater, Flower Kings, Steven Wilson solo.... Ps, Still recommend Transatlantic Whirlwind Overture/Wind Blew Them All Away. A little more energetic and harder than Riverside.
I was wondering when you’d get to Riverside. They are a very rewarding band live. Heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, but started because of The founders love of Marillion. Try second life syndrome, the track from the same album.
Riverside is great! Certainly among the better recent bands. Good musicianship, musical and well flowing while still interesting and slightly proggy. If you want it heavier, try their earlier records. Myself, I prefer their modern form, like this one, and frequently listen to their "newer" albums. Like Anathema (another excellent band) their music became less aggressive as they matured. The lead singer also has a few awesome albums under the name Lunatic Soul. They're athmospheric and simplistic which works out very well as moody background music. Hope that you listen to more of them :-)
Fake news! Fake news! They can't be good, they are contemporary ;). Never heard of this group, or their music, and although this is not the usual sort of music I like to listen to, this is really good. They create a very special atmosphere, a dome of ethearial sounds and a fundament of metal...
Great number. Wonderful band out of Poland. Excellent reaction. I don't view the song as just a comment on commercialism and consumerism (as you so accurately ascertained). I think it's a comment on the broader human condition, on human life itself. Humans so often run after happiness, seeking it in vain, looking for it in all the wrong places. And the human race is heading...where? (Interesting reference to Sisyphus.) We're trying to reach our journey's end before the Sun dies. But what will that end be? I've become hooked on these guys. They have SO much good stuff. My goodness.
If you like this album, you'll probably really like the band Puscifer - give a listen to their song " bullet train to Iowa'. Great reaction! Keep up the good work! 👍🎶😘
On the new video to Bullet Train, I made a comment that is near the top of the comments when I last checked:) Love Puscifer, and everything Maynard does to be honest.
Good stuff! I would love to see you react to some more Molly Hatchet. Songs like Bounty Hunter, Dreams I'll never see, Fall of the Peacemakers, Whiskey Man, Gator Country and many others!! Thanks!!

Check out the track “Left Out.” It has a great football chant that’s a blast when you see them live!
Outstanding band . Deep catalogue. Keep digging.

Not enough people listen to Riverside. 'Egoist Hedonist' or their longer 'Second Life Syndrome' will take you away 🤘
Polish Prog in the house!
Yes, Indukti next for a really original Polish band - even had Mariusz on guest vocals (mostly instrumental tracks though)
I realize Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch new series online ?
@Lennox Travis I watch on flixzone. Just google for it =)
