Impressive. The facts that the cooks have to take the customers just randomly walking by or through their stations, you need to be a very confident chef. Respect to all the staff.
Right! I kept thinking I'd love to hear from the chefs about this.
You'd need the patience of a saint for that job. It would be like having 100 aimless toddlers putting their hands all over everything while trying to work.
I just want to eat so I’m good without the walk by.
I wouldn’t make it all it takes is the wrong customer
Not understanding the negative comments… small portions? Nibble size? Big plates? You can literally nibble on a 1000 of them if you want. Plenty of food over 4 hours.
Exactly! How many scallops did he get!? You’ll never get that amount of food at most fine dining restaurants. It seemed like an awesome experience.
Those people need to go to golden coral😂
I see a lot of people do that to him all the time and I don't understand it either. To be honest I think they're jealous he seems so ordinary yet he has better vacations than they ever will in their lifetime
Maybe they’ve never experienced very high end meal ! The large number of courses are small so you can experience many many different food items and enjoy each one
We've eaten there 3 times, it's just excellent. Is it a "buffet" definitely no, it's fine dinning and the menu changes every month. It's a 10 course meal, with lots of appetizers in between, you don't really know what you are getting, it's up to the Chefs, but every thing you put in your mouth is soooo delicious. Is it "all you can eat"? No, but you eat as much until they run out. One evening during "intermission" we ate so much oysters that they ran out, we also has sea bass and scallops on the main menu, I complimented the Chef on the sea bass and scallops, he made us 2 more plates, and then packed another order togo for us. At the end of the night, a staff member gave us a tour of the front and back kitchen, while in the back, she asked us whatever leftovers they have, they can packed it for us.
thats awesome!
Sounds amazing. what was the cost for those? Just curious, the cost now is 185-195 dollars per person. Quite reasonable considering what you get!
I am sorry but I agree with the "all you can eat." By the time you have walked out of there you are stuffed. Therefore it was "all you can eat."
That’s the kind of places you say is worth every penny and tummy space.
That’s amazing. Legit seems like a deal
This is truly the best dining experience ever. Go here every year for birthdays. Chef Kelly is outstanding and delivers a comedic tier to the experience. This is my happy place.
This place looked like a true fun time. Great food, happy staff, happy chief, happy guests. That is what you want. The chief looked freaking happy. Which tells me, he's in the zone and ready to party. Love happy food staff.
The head chef really sells it.
I lived in Sacramento in the 90s and my friends and I went to The Kitchen long before they got their Michelin star. This place was always amazing, entertaining and a food fest. So happy for them and that they’re getting this recognition. 😊
I can see them getting a couple more stars and a James beard award
I personally cannot work in a kitchen like that it feels chaotic! But its so awesome that customers can get exposed to what happens behind the scenes and the hard work that goest thru the process. 185 per person is such a deal for all you can eat and those food looked amazing!!
I wish more places had this concept, seems so laid back and chill, like you're having dinner at a friend's house.
"I PLAN ON FEEDING YOU GUYS TONIGHT!" That literally brings a tear to my eye.
Except there is a finite amount of food, if they run out of menu item, you can't get anymore. So you might miss out on some items.
Chef Kelly’s energy seemed amazing. This is definitely an experience for the bucket list. ❤
Hat's off to this crew for sure. I'm a chef, and the thought of random lay-people walking through or interacting with my kitchen makes my heart want to explode. "Wait. You want the guy who has no idea what sauteing is, to walk into a WORKING KITCHEN and allow them to poke around or even cook?? You're fired. Don't ever suggest that nonsense again." Also, I'm sorry, but the chef here looks like Robbie Rotten from Lazy Town 🤣
I’m studying to be a chef… my first thought was “sanitize EVERYTHING.” 😂
185 per person is insanely cheap for a place like that. I'm in awe of those chefs
I watch Mike's videos, and live through his adventures. Because I will never be able to afford to travel to a different country every week like he does. Nor will I ever be able to afford to eat at 90% of the restaurants he goes to. I live through Mike, and that will have to do.
Unfortunately he likes the cakes more than the . she'll fish or fish
And I've never or or ever heard anyone say the oyster is fishy ? Wth.
This by far looked liked the most fun and interactive experience ever! Those chefs really worked their overtime when they are open. The price, experience and atmosphere seems completely worth it! Awesome video!
What I enjoyed the most was to see the chefs actualy loveing their work and putting their passion and brain into creating something
I’ve been there twice. The biggest hack I have is to order a grilled cheese at the end. They do a cheese plate and they take the cheeses from it and make a grilled cheese.
So glad you came to our city! The Kitchen is one of my favorite establishments. I hope you were able to try all our other great local foods!
7:07 sorry, but i cant help thinking this is a scenario out of "The Menu" movie....😅
I kept thinking of The Menu 😩
I NEVER would have been able to stop ordering more of the dumpling and taro chips. This place looks like so much fun!
Hey Mikey, I live on the east coast of Canada. Prince Edward Island oysters are not from Nova Scotia. Prince Edward Island is a province all on it's own. I can highly recommend a visit to enjoy some fabulous seafood.
Eh?
Thats the equivalent of saying every American says "ya'll"@ebutuoyebutouy
@@kenturner4974 Chill out. It was said in good faith. Spent a bunch of time in Eastern Canada and so many English speakers were heavy on the Eh.
This is a true celebration of cooking and food.
Indeed! Best birthday dinner I ever had. Thanks, C & J.
Everything looked amazing the Chef was so much fun I'm so glad you had a good time 😊❤
That’s one of the most eccentric chefs I’ve ever seen!! He definitely loves what he does!!! I’m gonna need to try this place out!! Awesome content as always Mikey!!
Oh My Lord! Definitely on my bucket list for sure! Talking about food heaven ❤
Damn those scallops looked amazing
Fantastic food with a great environment and the feel of “The Menu “. Quite the wonderful experience.
The food looks fantastic. I also liked the open kitchen and omakase vibes. Definitely saving up to take my mom here someday, she would love this!
I just LOVE all of your food videos and this particular one is so different. how fun!!
Everything looks incredibly tasty. You describe food so well, it's hard not to drool !!
I’ve gone a few times and it’s so much fun. Chef Kelly is the best. The staff are so nice and everything there is delicious!
MY HEART WAS FLUTTERING WITH YOU 😭😭😭
I remember going to The Kitchen. I had 5 helpings! The portions aren't too big but very good! Haven't been back in years! Now I may have to go back! Thanks Mike!! 😂
I feel like working here would be hell for most chefs
Maybe cuz they are not friendly people. So it’s better they stay away
This Chef has the right balls for the style. For sure, he does.
Beautiful food, great opportunity. ❤👍😊
He really should charge more😊
One of your best shows I’ve ever seen!! 🎉 😁
So glad you came to Sacramento, the kitchen is definitely at the top of my list to go!
What a unique experience! Amazing. I'm sure the 4 month wait is super worth it.
Keep raising the bar man!
Love the content
This looks a real fun place to go.
Thank you Mike I’m going there as soon as can
That price actually sounds reasonable, considering the high end ingredients and staff.
Did he just say around 185 before tax/gratuity!? That is actually so freaking reasonable considering how much food you are able to get! Wow, simply mind blowing!
I'd have to save up for a meal like that, but it does seem like you get your money's worth and then some! I think I've seen videos of restaurants that charge twice as much for way less than half the amount of food.
Cheap in this economy 😊
Right. That was my thought also! Seems like a bargain for what you’re getting!
You've just convinced me to book a reservation. I live here in Sacramento but did not know The Kitchen was that fun!
Right?! Everything looks amazing and the vibe is perfect. I live in Orange County and I'm booking a reservation. I know it'll be worth the trip!!
That's $200 per person or $500 after tip for a couple. Yikes!
Been there a few times. Never disappointed
That looked absolutely amazing
Great video! I was there the same night (March 1st). I was one of the people sitting in the background.😊
Welcome to Sacramento Mike! I hope you enjoyed your time here and ate well. 😊
"All you can yeeet" never change mike, what a fantastic foodie
10:28
oysters from Prince Edward island, Nova Scotia.. those are 2 different places.. it's like saying "from New York Kentucky"
I 100% agree with his need to devour more scallops.
That line behind Mike seems like everyone is walking and eating! Good to burn calories and eat at the same time!! LOL! 😂
Omg mike! I haven't watched in ages but I'm so glad to start watching again
This looks like heaven! I’d travel across the world for this!
I would absolutely love to go there... Seems like an awesome and gracious place
Craziest concept ever! Love it.
$185 is insanely cheap for that experience
Canadian here. Had to come comment on the pearl oysters from "prince edward island, nova scotia." Those are actually two different provinces.
Those scallops look incredible
What an experience to have enjoyed ❤
I would prob be in a scallop and beef coma by the time I was finished lol.
916 on the map! Finally someone came In town 😅
That looks like an awesome experience
0:27 "It's all you can YEET"
I love the small bites. You can try so many different dishes
"Oysters from Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia." You just made a lot of people from two different Canadian provinces more than a little upset Mikey! They both have great oysters, nevertheless!
I think its meant as from either places, not that PEI is a part of Nova Scotia. If you look on their website thats exactly what it says on the menu.
Not sure what Mike meant when he said PEI, Nova Scotia, but it sure sounded like he thought PEI was a city in Nova Scotia. It is probably the restaurant's fault. Not surprised. Not many Americans knows anything about Canadian provinces.
You beat me to it
If people are getting so upset over something so trivial then that’s kinda pathetic ngl 😂
@@sharebear421 getting truly upset, sure.. but pointing out a mistake should be completely fine.
Everything looks delicious and cute!
I would be so shy xD like I'd get up last and go into the kitchen because it feels a bit weird ^^'
The Kitchen sounds awesome.🤩
Wow that was a lot of food! So much fun, also. That is a great experience. No wonder they have a four month wait.
Looks really delish and worth it.
I usually roll my eyes at anything Michelin-starred, but I could totally have a blast at this place. 😁
This place is out of control. I don’t know how they can manage all this chaos. I would really love to dine here, and again, and again. My kind of place. I hope this style of service is successful.
It's $195 now.
it should be $300.

Go to Gerber temple tomorrow in south Sacramento it's thai, lao,Cambodian new years you'll enjoy it
Wow ! Amazing Mikey ! Definitely Food Heaven ! Delicious !
Mind blowing!!!!!!!! What an experience!!!!
I would stand in front of that steak station for a few minutes 😂
Good Lord I want to work in that kitchen - brilliant food
I think the magic to this place is the raw materials they use aren't that expensive compared to other Michelin star restaurants and can be an all-you-can eat style meal, but the technique is obviously high end and looks incredible.
Fun video! Thanks for sharing!
wow this is impressive
everthing look high quality
I LOVED THAT!!!! So fun and I would probs be in the kitchen the whole time chatting and being my adhd self xD and the thing with being FED!!!! Yes plz!!!
Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia are two different provinces in Canada...They are close, but not the same place...either way-I'm sure they were delicious!!
Love this video Mikey~. Thanks to you, I discovered surfshark and it's been a game changer. I hope you came to my city Brisbane during your Aus trip
My hometown… love it!!
l love your enthusiasm. It's infectious. Wish we had something similar here in South East England. I'd be there.....
Wow!!! Mike came out to Sacramento, California!!! 😍🥰🍻🍺🥂🍷🥃🚬
Ok, that place is worth the price just to learn!
Much less eat.
Seriously amazing!
Another great video in Sacramento California
I ate there years ago. It was good. It was not a buffet when i went there though. (could be a different place as it was at least 15 years ago)
What a Chef!!!
Mike is like Tasmanian devil cartoon character, going around like a tornado.
That looked delicious!👍🏻
Please go try “Copper Beyond Buffet” in bangkok! You’ll to make your reservation online before. Dying to see what you think of the food and it’s worth it :)
I'll take a dozen scallops and a whole tenderloin please 😋
I hope you tried other places to eat too Bro! Ramen House Ryugin is really good Ramen!! 😋
That chef seemed like a lot of fun.
Quite an experience ❤
This experience seems like worth more than one Michelin Star:)
