the slogan for Hungry Jacks is "the burgers are better at Hungry Jacks"
They taste better. That's 100% fact.
@@mikewhite3670 100%
Nothing beats the whopper though, although in my early 20s I don’t know if you guys remember they had a menu item called “the chicken crunch burger” like almost a decade ago that to me was the best chicken burger they ever made, it was so crunchy I’d get like 3 during lunch and after college too, wasn’t a bad price either too bad they got rid of it 😢
@@thatgirl9532 I remember that an there cheesy bacon tender crisp it was elite
@@Kurt_Choas oh yeah those burgers a decade ago or so in my opinion so much better than the new chicken ones
Glad you are finally visiting us down under
Can you hear the thunder?" 😅
@@conspiracionesy” you better run, you better take cover”
@@kajoleagle 😉
Mike said he was here like a decade or 2 ago too bad he never filmed here
Can you stop saying down under
Melbourne is a food, wine and coffee paradise. So many local and international cuisines represented and offered here. Glad you are enjoying Melbourne!!
I hope you also try Red Rooster Mikey every known UA-camr seems to miss trying out our own fast food chain. Such a shame because it is actually decent!
I could go for a red rooster quarter chicken and chip pack right now! Although its 6 AM atm.
@@ZeliardFTW hahahaha and they aren’t even open 24hrs 😢
I’m not the biggest fan of roast chicken so I usually get the flayva wrap meal or the spicy burger box the fried chicken/cheesy nuggets is really good, their chips and gravy on point as well
@@ZeliardFTW with pineapple fritter
He has no clue because he only eats Asian food. Dude went to Australia to eat Chinese food and McDonald's.
Pretty sure that is not local food.
@@ndb_1982 WIth the amount of immigration in Aus , there are more Chinese than Aus here ...pretty authentic food here, local Aus food is a melting pot of Chinese , Thai , Philippine, Indian etc - I'm not Asian
Welcome to Melbourne, as they say... "The burgers are better and Hungry Jacks" 😋
So glad you enjoyed your time in our beautiful city Melbourne ❤
Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺 😄
Not welcome.
Said the indian guy lmao

the now in the 90's music on the second burguer, brought tears to my eyes, lol
Great to see one of my favourite UA-camrs in my neck of the woods!! Looking forward to seeing what places you're going to try out while you're here!
Welcome to Australia Mikey loved this ❤❤
Welcome to Australia 🌏😊
Nice to see you down in our part of the world finally Mikey. Bar Luca is a must when you get to Sydney.
As for the beetroot on the burger, it is generally called an 'Aussie' burger at that point. If it has bacon & pineapple as well, it's then called a burger 'with the lot'. Usually best from a local takeaway rather than your large chains.
Why go to a great local place when you can go to a McDonalds which is found all over the world....
Welcome to Melbourne... it's been 4 year 6 months from there
Yeah beetroot is very good on burgers, and so are eggs. I love them ! Always have beetroot from a can in my fridge 100% of the time!
@simonl4252 to compare the two from international locations to his American viewers that will definitely want to know how they're different. In the US it's generally accepted that Mickey Ds is better than BK, but it's the opposite here and it's kinda neat.
You have to try the BALSAMIC rice
Been Melbourne 5 times in the past 5 years and I've barely scratched the surface of food places to try in the CBD let alone the outer suburbs, so you definitely gotta go back for that week you mentioned
We are the food, fashion, wine, coffee and sporting centre of Australia 😅 he definitely needs to come back and explore more. He should go to the 8 apostles too
That last dish looked so tasty.
boat noodles are soooo great. in the top 10 of my thai food favs
Hey Mike.. Wow! It's amazing when you travel and experience different things. All of the meals were different in their own way. I really enjoyed the hungry Jacks, and the seafood mountain.. Enjoy! 🤤🐞🤗
It did look amazing, too bad I don't really like shellfish, but that said it looked awesome and wish I did love shellfish. Prawns are the only kind I really like.
🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
Delicious 😋 Mike! Happy eating. 😊
The Thai place always has a huge line. Great idea to go there for lunch
"The Burgers Are Better At Hungry Jacks."
Well it not hard to be better if you're comparing the burgers they serve in Maccas.
The Pineapple Fritters at Maccas are just a seasonal promo. I think you can get them all year round at Red Rooster. 🐓
You need to try harajuku crepes!!!! They’re amazing
Also you should visit lygon street in carlton
You should try Harajuku Crepes in Central Station, best crepes in Melbourne!
I miss Australia so much! I spent three months in Melbourne :D! Bruh PIE FACEEEE is so goodddddddd. I also love Maxibons, delicious♥!
I love that you are exploring Melbourne's awesome food scene Mikey! Welcome 🙂
By going to a McDonalds and Hungry Jacks...
Finally you came to Melbs, so awesome hope you had a good time over in my city.
Pudding is a generic term for dessert.
Glad you made it to our lovely city Mikey…. Had a chuckle at this missing ‘e’ 😂😂
Bacon deluxe is a must try at Hungry jacks for sure!
Had a triple no tomato heavy onion last night. Best burger I've had from his in a while
This!
If you end up in Brisbane on your Australia trip, you have to try Taros Ramen. His fire tonkotsu is incredible!
WOW! Welcome to Melbourne! So glad you came! We love everything Asian and you are in for such a treat! ❤❤❤
Thanks for visiting Hungry jacks Kingsway ❤❤
Hope you try out red rooster and Oporto too! Both are phenomenal
Mike’s in Melbourne!!
We had pineapple fritters with school dinners in the UK in the 70s.
That broth is so concentrated, it looks like gravy. Wow!!!
Glad to see you got the fritters before they went off the menu. They’re limited time things, but they’ll circle back around next year.
Edit: you didn’t get any chocolate soft serve?
Woaw! You're in Melbourne Mikey! Hope you have a great time here :)
I worked at Hungry Jack's for a few months when I was 18. The Burger's taste flame grilled because they are... technically. They go into a conveyor belt oven.
Great to see you in my home city. You will find the McDonalds chicken and fish burgers are different from the US, they are coated in a fine bread crumb. I'm a big fan. We also have lots of chicken wraps and salads. We often prefer a fully cooked through egg so you don't loose all the egg to the plate.
hey Mike can you please tell us all how much each dish cost aswell as that looked awesome
Look so delicious ❤❤❤
I’m so happy you liked the Hungry Jacks burgers more than the Maccas ones. Personally, I’ve always preferred Hungry Jacks, so I’m glad I’m not alone hahaha
That seafood platter looks divine. I also wouldn't be surprised if it costed over $60. lol
maybe try our nandos in Australia ive only heard good things from my visiting US friends.
come to springvale in south east melbourne!
Yes! I've suggested this as well as Footscray. Mikey would love those places.
I live in nz and I've eaten so many hot cross buns in my life. So weird to see someone say theyve never had one.
Fun Fact: For many years, there were only 2 Burger King restaurants in Australia, which were both at international airport terminals in Melbourne and Cairns
I think I stayed near there
couple weeks ago
you need all that sauce to counter the dry patty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to Australia!! Make sure to visit Cabramatta while you're in Sydney! Loads of delicious food there! 🫶🫶🇦🇺🇦🇺
So much good Vietnamese food in Cabramatta
@@richbuang2I visited for the first time since 2012 when I last visited. Holy moly is it a different place. Not food wise, it’s always had good food. But aesthetically
Come to the Gold Coast. Australia's place for fun and games. Tourism capital of Australia.
Mike no one gets sandwiches or pastries from Aussie McDonald’s 😅
8:00 To be honest, I usually just outright prefer Burger King to McDonald's even over here in the USA. The difference is, there's a McD's barely 5 minutes away and the closest Burger King is almost 20 minutes out.
Ohh hell yer he arrived in my country, Hope you enjoy your stay and visit some good places.
welcome to aus, enjoy the high prices.
U need to go to soi 38 for dinner!
Mike, my local fish and chip shop, probably like many others have been serving battered beef rissoles for years! Way better than burger bites.
How jooshy was that burger at McDonalds
So much umami.
Makes you wanna yeet more with every spectacular bite
Mate, when you're in Tassie, go to the shop and get a National Pie. Trust me.
Pineapple fritters are better at red rooster just saying lol maccas was a limited time summer item … seafood platter looked good mouth watering
Hey Mike are you in Australia now. Watch & love your vids.
Regards Ian.
you need to try a HSP while you're here!!!
If you are still around on the weekend, come to the Hawkesbury show, , I’ll be in the brick house van by the cowshed selling Poffertjes ( mini Dutch pancakes)
Mmmmmmm Lekker!
You should come to Tasmania mate. Especially the Northwest plenty of local seafood here. Personally I like turf not surf. All maccas burgers have 100% Aussie beef. There is a local burger shop ( @fully loaded food ) in Burnie, Tasmania that has a burger called “ loaded Mac “ and it’s so much better than what maccas or Hj’s do.
Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺
I Love that he Mike is in my beautiful country, I am Sydney born and bred, but even I will admit that Melbourne is an amazing food town.
I'm from Melbourne and I've tried those pineapple fritters from Macca's . They're mediocre at best. The fish and chip shops do better jobs. From a chain store then red rooster is the way to go.
Love and peace from Australia as always Mikey..oh wait YOU'RE HERE! 👏
Welcome to my home town!
Noooo… wanted Mike to eat at Third Wave Cafe near the seafood place for their massive Ribs 😅
Welcome Mikey. Hope you enjoy your stay. Keep it up
Please go to Victoria St Richmond to try out all the Vietnamese 🇻🇳 restaurants there !!!
Can someone please direct Mikey to Springvale or Footscray?
Totally agree!
come to sydney mikey!
Australia is spoilt for choice when it comes to asian cuisine, being so close to Asia and having a large Asian population no less. Melbourne is %100 one of those places in the country where if you want to experience the food and cafe culture, you could spend weeks trying out different cuisines, types of food etc.
Australia is the capital of Thai food - outside Thailand. Queensland especially so.
My dude needs to lay off the mini bars
Hello Mike Chen, how is Melbourne, Australia going? 🇦🇺
forget the burger boys try a proper fish and chip shop
I always try the local McDonald at any country I travel to also to see what’s on their menu that’s different from the US and would love the those pineapple 🍍 fritters!!!
Should have gone to the ones on Elisabeth Street. iykyk
You're literally across from my home when you're at HJ.
Might want to check out some of the suburbs and streets around Melbourne for food. Go to Springvale for Vietnamese/Thai food (Some Malaysian and Chinese eateries there as well). Oakleigh for Greek and Mediterranean flavors. By and large, most of the eclectic multicultural foods are spread evenly and in no particular order around Melbourne. In the city center, a concentration of the more interesting European eateries can be found in a place called Hardware Lane, that's if you want to avoid the more hyped, celebrity chef restaurants in Crown Casino. Enjoy!
When you come to syd recommend going to a place called Cabramatta you’ll love it bro love to see you there trying the foods!!!
Or Eastwood
That house @10:15 looks like it was inspired by the Nepali culture.
Which site was the "seafood mountain" at the end? So tempting!!
He lists it in his description box. It's a chargrill specialist place.
@@sonyavincent7450 Thanks!!
❤
HOLY SH*T!! He didn't say umami once!!! Has hell frozen over? ❤❤
He made up for it by saying jooosy about a dozen times
Man needs to hit up Red Rooster, fades McDs/HJs every time.
If you want authentic Asian food u gotta to the suburbs Springvale and Glen Waverley
Ah good to see our iconic Melbourne Star in the closing aerial shot. Not a white elephant at all!
so weird seeing u in melb hahha
Welcome to Australia enjoy it 🌟
Why does he say yeet and not eat?
welcome to OZ. Cheers
OMG how long are you staying in melb?!
Come to Sydney!
you forgot to slather your hot cross bun with butter!
Sydney - have to eat in Cabramatta
