Hi. I noticed that my 2019 Honda CR-V Ex’s transmission letters don’t light up when switching between D, R, S, etc. Is that not a thing in this particular car? I find it hard to know for sure what option I selected when I shift ( except when I select R), since the backup camera shows up on screen! Any idea?

How do I add the compass to the top of the infotainment screen of my 2019 CRV Touring? My friend has it on her 2019 CRV and my husband has it on our 2016 Odyssey van. On both their vehicles it is left of the clock, upper right on screen. TY!
Thanks for the question. My best guess is that the compass is a “widget”. To add a widget, go to the Home Screen on your infotainment screen, click and hold your finger on an area of the screen that’s got no writing on it. A window will appear, press “widget” from that window then a list of widgets will appear. Click n the compass. Next a customization screen will appear with the compass widget in it. Click and drag the compass next to your clock and click OK. and that should do it. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

If your CRV came with a remote starter (it would be visible on your key fob, a button with an almost completed circle) then by enrolling in the Honda Link program (via the Honda Link App that goes on your phone) you can remote start your vehicle. If your vehicle does not have remote start already, there are companies that may be able to, for a price, install a remote starter that works with a phone app. One suggestion in this scenario would be to google “Drone mobile App”. You should be able to change that by turning the car on, make sure the outdoor temp is displaying on the drivers information screen then push and hold the “trip” reset knob for 10 sec and keep pressing it until you get to the setting you want. Thanks for watching!

There is no CD player. You would want to burn the content of the CD’s unto your computer, then transfer them to a USB drive as .mp3 format. Then plug the usb stick into the vehicles USB Media port, select USB as the music source in the infotainment screen. The good news is that you can fit a whole lot of CD’s onto a single USB stick. Thanks for the question. If you have already searched through the available icons on the drivers screen, and have not seen that all wheel drive icon, chances are you don’t have an all wheel drive. All Wheel Drive was an option on every trim level. Now if you have the AWD lettering on the rear door, then there is an issue and I would recommend that you take it to a dealership to have fix it. I just purchased my 2019 CR-V and discoverd that I must use my Bluetooth phone to use the GPS. When I use this system, I am not able to use the radio (Sirius). Is there something I am missing? Thanks for the question. My suggestion would be to use Apple CarPlay if you have an iPhone, or Android Auto if you have an Android phone. To do this you would need to connect your phone to the infotainment system via USB. This way, you can go to Sirius xm, select your station, then go into Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and use any navigation app you have on your phone, and Sirius XM will continue to play in the background. @@TwoGuysandaRide the vehicle battery. Our car battery has died twice and we’ve had to plug the trickle charger on it a couple of times....and it only has 6700 miles on it due to covid.
@@kimraynor8534 unfortunately no there is no battery charge level available indicator for the cars battery however just like most modern vehicles there are lots of electronics being run by the battery and the charge does not last long if they aren’t driven consistently

If your CRV did not come with navigation installed, there is no way to install it that I know of short of seeing if the dealer would/could install an upgraded infotainment system. Depending on your trim level, you may have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Click on the bottom section called Detailed Information and Settings, then click and hold down the Menu button until a different screen appears. Scroll down until you see “Special Functions setting” and click on that. In the window that appears click on “cancel android restriction” then use the back button to get back to your Home Screen. Thanks for the question but I’m not sure what you’re asking? Are you saying that: in our video oil life is shown as a percentage, but in your CR-V oil life shows up as 9587km? If that is the case then because it’s in the metric system, it shows how many km left until next oil change is due, instead of a percentage. Is there really no album art over Bluetooth on the 2021 CRV? The 2019 Accord has it so I'd expect similar technology across all Honda Vehicles. CRVs must be a dated body style.
The infotainment system is not the most current available on other Honda’s. We’ll be happy once they finally catch up with the rest of the auto industry. Their vehicles are very well engineered but their technology lags behind competitors. Thanks for watching
How do you turn off the damned auto window opening feature? This feature can get you a soaking wet interior if it gets opened by mistake. It's happened to me twice. I was just lucky it didn't rain while it was open.
@@TwoGuysandaRide If the unlock button on the remote gets pressed twice (it can happen without you knowing it) sunroof and window all open. Just a matter of time before it happens before a rain and the car gets ruined. Have not found a way to disable this on a 2019 CRV.
@@LordoftheCats check you settings for window controls in your center information screen. There should be a listing to disable or change that setting. If not then contact your local dealer to see if they can assist you
I'm about to go into the 2020 CR-V EX trim this week. I've been hearing that the Infotainment Screen can be quite slow based on other reviewers. Have you run into this with the 2019? I'd assume by now they would have fixed the problem. My 2018 Accord EX-L has been the best infotainment system I had by far.
We just reviewed the 2020 CRV Hybrid and the infotainment screen had great reaction time and resolution. We did not see any lag time during our time with the car or for the How To video. ua-cam.com/video/AXjYsHmlflg/v-deo.html

If you look under Settings in the infotainment screen, that is where you will be able to reset the infotainment system
