Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

This is one of the things that sold me on the Ariens. I didn't need a huge professional or platinum grade snowblower for the size of my driveway and the amount of snow we typically get, so i got the Deluxe 24. I dont know of heated grips are available on this model direct from yhe factory, but i did know that Ariens sold an OEM service kit to add them to basically any of their snowblowers except, i think, the Classic that doesnt have an alternator. I think the kit, at the time, was like $90, so pretty affordable relattive to the price of any snowblower. And it was super easy to install, the instructions were clear and complete. I don't think tou could screw it up unless you were really trying to. My only regret is that i was using a snowblower for almost 25 years without heated grips! After the firat time inused them, i was like, "I cant believe I went 25 f-ing years without heated grips! How many hours of frozen fingers I'll never be able to get back!

The old Tecumseh's had either a single circuit or dual circuit alternator. The dual circuit alternator had 2 separate windings , one meant for the headlight which was typically a halogen lamp, and the other for the heated hand grips. Now that machines come standard with an LED light which draws much less current, I suppose the single circuit alternator can handle the additional load of the heated hand grips.

For about $1 more than a similar switch, I bought a toggle switch at Tractor Supply that was weather resistant and it lit up when it was turned on. I didn't use it on handlebar heaters but for a flashing light on my lawn tractor size JD snow plow. Can't miss seeing when the switch is on. Thanks for your informative videos that are always clear and precise!

I have a 2013 Ariens Deluxe 28 Model 921030 with serial number 007535. According to Ariens, the new LED light can be installed on my Deluxe 28 snowblower even though some say that the new LED light can only be installed on 2024 models and later. According to Ariens, it is an easy changeover. The new kit contains a jumper wire to connect to my old wiring harness. I ordered it today and will report back on my anticipated success.

Probably should have a caveat at the beginning this does not necessarily apply to all Ariens. My 24" Ariens with a Snow King is from around 2005 and I was told by Ariens that the unit could not supply enough power to run hand warmers, just the light. This was before they made kits available and you had to do it yourself from the parts supplied with a unit that came with hand warmers.

Hi, Quick question. I installed those grips on my Deluxe 28 in January of 2021 and the epoxy has let loose and they start to slip off when I pull the machine backwards. Could I drill and install pop rivets through the pre drilled holes that come in the grips? It shouldn’t damage the heating elements should it?
