Just for everyone to remember, reznov is NOT DEAD! Yes, mason is hallucinating, no, reznov is not dead. In the BO1 main menu terminal you can see emails from a man that knows things only reznov or mason would know, and this man is emailing Hudson.
Reznov is the best character arguably in any shooter game. his story is the most interesting to me and the most mysterious. i remember when i was a kid finishing BO1 and finding out he wasn't real except for the Vorkuta mission was for some reason so heartbreaking, like i truly felt like Mason in that moment, the devastation. Reznov was the true hero of all.
Fun fact, hes not dead. In bo1, he talks to hudson under the name wolf, stuff only hed know about, and it even has a pic of him. Crazy after so many years ppl still dont know he faked his death

My favourite call of duty is world at war. I know the killstreaks weren't the best but I loved the gun play and the aesthetic of the game. That and MW2 were my favourite.
Reznov is probably alive as he organized the escape from vorkuta when reznov gets surrounded most likely he’s not the only prisoner with him maybe the prisoners in order to escape they dressed up as prison guards and helped reznov achieve his plan on escape as in black ops 4 audio logs reznov is alive woods and mason are talking to him

If bo4 had a campaign we would’ve dived into that but they had to tell a brief story in the operator missions and in blackout itself, how does zombies connect to blackout That I don’t know
One thing I like to believe is that since sam is American or whatever he was sent to vorouta how ever its spelled to specifically get sam out because the US was close to finding him there and if they did war would probably break out cause of it and then any time he did actually appear was Sam hallucinating him there but instead Victor is just helping him some to more or less prevent the cold war from turning into a full scale war instead of a proxy war only especially since tensions were so high that even just a small thing like a single American in prison would set off a world war and since Soviets knew this happens it will end in a stale mate cause neither side will be mostly alive or have the power to retaliate more so high command did this with all prisoners and made them sleepers so theu can always be reactivated to off any unruley officers that wished to start the war or to fully hide something like the one mission where you had to go sink a underwater lab main reason why i believe this is cause when the tear gas is deployed he saves sam over anyone else that would be more of a help but the only problem here is the only thing that wouldn't make the tear gas affect Victor is a gas mask which you never see and is exactly why i believe Victor is alive and also came with sam to the us to help where it was needed most and Steiner stuff was in a top secret place that hazmants were needed and they were experimenting with gases one got released that only got Sam some how or it was the numbers and sleeper agent stuff that acted like it was a motivater pretty much but wouldn't be surpised if it was also some gas since sam is shown wearing what Victor wears why or how idk but is very posible
They need to make a cod where reznove is alive like in WW2 or vanguard since rez over is around that time when he was fighting Germans, they already made easter about and hes been a important role to the franchise starting back with call of duty world at war
