I got the opportunity to work backstage for AC/DC in April 1988 in Munich Germany on their Blow up your Video tour. I was only 14 at the time and knew a good friend that got me the job because he knew I was a big fan. I was helping unload all their equipment from semi trucks and placing it on the stage to be set up. One semi truck was completely full of Hamm's beer. I got paid, fed, free t-shirt and the best seat in the arena (on the sound stage in the middle of the floor). Seeing Angus Young's Gibson SG's lined up all the way down the hall backstage when you're a big fan at 14 years old was like Heaven to me! If there's anything I won't forget in life, it would definitely be that night in April of 1988! RIP Malcolm Young

+Simon Coles History didn't judge it as kindly as it probably should have.....but it's really not one of their better records. I'd say it's rated a tiny bit under. but "most underrated".....no way.
+SuperVerst In my opinion Fly on The Wall deserves its status as one of the worst AC/DC albums. It has a couple of cool tracks but the production of the album is crap and really ruins AC/DC's sound.
That intro gives me goosebumps…so darn pure! Just a darn good band getting ready to kick butt! And the lighters, much more atmospheric than stupid cell phones
That blues thing at the start was fantastic. As much as I get that their shows were made to be intense and exciting from start to finish, I wish we'd heard more stuff like that from them- though that said, we could hardly ask for more than they've already contributed to music!
I can't believe Angus jumping off that riser...must have been 5 feet or so, and he's only 5'2"...thank god he never blew his knee or ankle out doing that night after night! Guy is Superman!
@Jacob Molyneux still, try jumping while carrying something (like it guitar). Way riskier than having your hands out by your sides. I was very athletic, but I'm 50 now, so I know how your body changes. I wouldn't do that if I was in my 30s and I'm only 5"6". But I hear you about being light
A 28 year old prime Angus \m/. Angus was fairly young when High Voltage came out. Around 20 and gigging with the boys years before that. Kid with those bends and vibrato was a rock n roll virtuoso
The thing I love about AC/DC is that they make me feel like I've been friends with them for years, even though I haven't met them. I feel like I'm having a conversation with them when I watch stuff like interviews even though I've never been able to say anything to them. They always puts a smile on my face and make me happy, ever since I first got into AC/DC before I could walk. thank you AC/DC. You've inspired me as a 17 year old to pick up my guitar, microphone, drums and bass and give it my best shot to make more rock n roll in the world.

He walked over and obliged us and then actually took us on the bus to meet Malcolm and take a couple pics with them. unreal what humble and regular blokes they were. jeez
This whole video is the epitome of Rock N Roll, and what Rock N Roll stands for. No fancy anything, just a bunch of Lads hangin out rehearsing and chatting, for a crowd of people the same as them.
There was a Malcolm quote a long the lines of "There are a lot of rock bands and a lot of metal bands but there aren't too many rock n roll bands anymore. I suppose us and the Stones and we're way harder than the Stones."
What I really love about AC/DC's stage showmanship was during the verses the focus is on Brian and Angus, and during the chorus Malcolm and Cliff would come forward into the spotlight and then retreat for the next verse. It's really simple but brilliant. That visual really helps keep things fresh.
Saw these guys on 15th October 1982 at the then Hammersmith Odeon in London on the For Those About to Rock tour....awesome night and will never forget!! Last saw them at Wembley Stadium in London on 26th June 2009 on the Black Ice tour.....and they still fuckin' rocked!!!! One of the best rock n roll bands in history without a shadow of a doubt! AC/DC...Amen!!!
Nov 83 Memphis Coliseum with Fastway...rocked the house down. The ceiling tiles were falling from above the crowd great veiw my nosebleeds seats... for those about to Rock cannons bout crumbled the old stadium lol. Yeaaaa. Only in America baby...peace out

Powerage is underrated by casual fans, but us true hardcore fans know that it’s easily their best. But Flick? CRIMINALLY underrated. Big time. That record absolutely RIPS start to finish. It’s balls to the wall, unfiltered, unapologetic hard rock. The way rock n roll is meant to be played. Cheers to other fellow AC/DC fanatics!

Absolute kickarse performance. Love how Malcolm and Cliff stepped up front for choruses, then back to the engine room between. Johnny and Dee Dee did this classic move in Ramones shows too. Zippos in the audience, not frikkin' phone screens. FWIW, I like LTBR and Powerage albums most : )

"Guns For Hire" is so freaking awesome!!! I love the "Flick of the Switch" album so much, and this is my favorite song on that smoldering classic of an album! This reminds me of the first time I saw AC/DC live. It was on this very tour, a few weeks earlier in San Antonio, Texas. I have seen AC/DC live many times, but that '83 concert was absolutely the best of them all!
i saw this tour in Cleveland when i was 15!!!!!! i still remember it, believe it or not. What a great show. i've come full circle, i just saw them in Cleveland again in september, and they still kicked ass. so glad i went, one of the greatest bands ever.

ACDC definitely needs to release all of the Pro-Shot complete live shows in a DVD BLU-RAY Box Set, Especially the 1981 - 1986 era as the quality on the LARGO 1981 I poor. They must have or should be able to release the complete shows eh. These are awesome!!!
every song on this album ends with either "me" or "you" haha and its a totally kickass album! I saw this tour in '83 at the Tacoma Dome when some dumbfuck managed to get a flare gun past security and shot it into the wooden ceiling. The crowd thought it was part of the show. It fizzled out but re-ignited later that night and caused about 5 grand in damage to the ceiling.

It can not be legal to release 3 Albums like Back in Black, For Those and Flick of the Switch in 3 Years. And Highway to Hell a year before. Guns for Hire, very sad, that Angus forgot, which terrific Song he (they) wrote 38 Years ago. So fresh, so powerfull, so raw.
I saw them at the Rosemont Horizon, Chicago on this tour. Still to this day the loudest sound I've ever heard in person is the cannon during For Those About to Rock.
I saw this exact show (w/ Fastway) in Pittsburgh. The old Civic Arena. I still remember Angus jumping off of the speakers during this same open. Thought it was the greatest thing ever ! I had all of the Fastway cassettes (lol) . I was a frustrated Zep fan after Bonham died and loved Dave King's voice!
I was just transported back to the Tacoma Dome, WA 1983. When that dude lit off a millatary flare during "This House is on Fire". Stuck in the ceiling and burned a hole in the roof.

2015. They didn't tour in 2014; I went from '88 til 2015 to seeing them again also myself. They were the best live band in the world

Saw that show back in 1984, AC/DC headlining Monsters of Rock in Nuremberg. Was 15 at that time, ages ago. Never missed any tour afterwards. Thanks for all the Rock‘n Roll and the good times.
I showed up late to one of their concerts. Still regret it.

AC/DC are my favourite band forever and the best band of all time.
I love all their songs but this has to be my favourite song by them. I cannot play this song without cranking or playing air guitar. It's pure AC/DC 110% hard rock in yo face!

ACDC definitely needs to release all of the Pro-Shot complete live shows in a DVD BLU-RAY Box Set, Especially the 1981 - 1986 era as the quality on the LARGO 1981 I poor. They must have or should be able to release the complete shows eh. These are awesome!!!

My favorite AC/DC album is “For those about to Rock”, “Flick of the Switch” is a close 2nd followed by “Fly on the Wall”. 👍🏻
every song on this album ends with either "me" or "you" haha and its a totally kickass album!
I saw this tour in '83 at the Tacoma Dome when some dumbfuck managed to
get a flare gun past security and shot it into the wooden ceiling. The
crowd thought it was part of the show. It fizzled out but re-ignited
later that night and caused about 5 grand in damage to the ceiling.
And if they don't end with either of those, they end with the song title

It can not be legal to release 3 Albums like Back in Black, For Those and Flick of the Switch in 3 Years. And Highway to Hell a year before. Guns for Hire, very sad, that Angus forgot, which terrific Song he (they) wrote 38 Years ago. So fresh, so powerfull, so raw.

I saw them at the Rosemont Horizon, Chicago on this tour. Still to this day the loudest sound I've ever heard in person is the cannon during For Those About to Rock.
I saw this exact show (w/ Fastway) in Pittsburgh. The old Civic Arena. I still remember Angus jumping off of the speakers during this same open. Thought it was the greatest thing ever ! I had all of the Fastway cassettes (lol) . I was a frustrated Zep fan after Bonham died and loved Dave King's voice!

I was just transported back to the Tacoma Dome, WA 1983. When that dude lit off a millatary flare during "This House is on Fire". Stuck in the ceiling and burned a hole in the roof.
