Where's Eleven? His 'I'm the Doctor. Basically Run.' scene is one of the most iconic I'm the Doctor moments-
Agreeeeeed
Literally accompanied by the theme "I am the Doctor" too. What a sham!
There is an older video in the channel with this moment when I remember it right.
Not even a Who fan, and I was looking for that one. Researching female electronic composers, like the woman that made the theme.

@@2429Ryanspeer yes a lot of who writing is amazing and I don’t count any of 13th as lore
Where is Matt Smith’s 11th Doctor!? Arguably the best, “I am The Doctor” moment!
Ah, but which one? 11th Hour? Victory? Pandorica? He really did do it a lot lol.
Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically... run.
The moment the 11th Doctor was truly born.
11's debut in "The 11th Hour" was definitely one of the best "I am the Doctor" intro's...
Yess!!! I mean 11th theme was literally called "I am The Doctor"!
Got shafted so they could include that rubbish, woke fan fiction for diversity browning points.

I can confirm they are in fact, the Doctor
Love Capaldi in Flatline. Such a great “I am the Doctor” moment.
I never warmed up to Capaldi.
Worse Doctor, ever.
@@curtisrobinson7962 He was my favorite. But each to their own. 🤷♂️
Ngl, that was the moment he truly became the Doctor for me.
My Doctor will always be (unpopular opinion here, but) Ninth. But I'd warmed up to 10th & 11th relatively quickly, 12th took much longer, but that scene in Flatline finally did it. And since it kept getting better, he became my second favorite of the New Who.
13th was okay-ish. I couldn certainly understand why so many people hated her run, but for me it was okay. I didn't like it as much as the previous seasons, but I could still find it in myself to enjoy the show.
@@curtisrobinson7962 Worst take ever. How can you watch Mummy on the Orient Express, Heaven Sent, The Pilot, or The Doctor Falls and not "get" him? Or did you not watch those?

"I don't suppose it really matters now. You are monsters. That is the role you seem determined to play. So it seems I must play mine."
"The man that stops the monsters. I'm sending you back to your own dimension. Who knows? Some of you may even survive the trip. And, if you do, remember this. You are not welcome here. This plane is protected. I am the Doctor."
-The Twelfth Doctor
1:17 - This was the first episode of the show that I ever saw in full and it was THIS moment that got me hooked. A centuries-old alien that travels through time and space who uses their intellect and wits to stop evil? Sounds like my kind of TV show.
And there's so much from earlier episodes that get referenced later on that watching old episodes really pays off. I know in one case there was something set up by the 4th Doctor (Tom Baker, from 1974 to 1981) that didn't get paid off until the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi, from 2014-2017).
@@almostfm killing off kid Davros?

@@Animallover24678 I'm not sure what you're asking, but in a Capaldi episodes, a Tom Baker episode is referenced in which he makes a speech about whether or not he'd kill the child version of a tyrant who destroyed millions of lives, and then in that Capaldi episode he is in the situation in which he could kill Davros as a child
One of my favorite moments: 12th Doctor: Who frowned me this face? *Later* I know why I have this face….to remind me,to hold me to the mark…I’m the doctor and I SAVE PEOPLE!
It really was a very clever callback and way to explain why Capaldi went from guest star to Doctor.
@@azarinevil RTD had it planned when he cast Capaldi for "Fires of Pompeii". Of course Moffat didn't know about it when he cast Matt Smith, but Davies told him later and he liked it
Maybe Chibnall performed miracles when it comes to visual effects, but Moffat too did a fantastic job with Flatline.
Moffat didn't write flatline

Flatline was where 12 became my favourite. I hadn't been able to accept him over 11 before that point, but with this moment, he became the Doctor. Just a shame it took me so long to realize that.
I agree! Took me some time to accept him but since that episode, I loved him. I wish I appreciated him more when he started. I still adore his series 9&10.
Capaldi took a while for just about everyone, no shame in that. I didn't find myself loving 12 until the end of mummy on the orient express. I'm pretty sure a slow burn was what Moffat was going for, even if it wasn't smart from a marketing perspective
So this is basically
"3 "I am the Doctor!" Speeches."
Respectively from the Fugitive, the Tenth and the Twelfth Doctors.
Seriously, no 11th doctor???? Why isn't the scene from the eleventh hour here??? HIS THEME IS CALLED "I'M THE DOCTOR"
I love having Tennant at the end of these
I'm glad he says it in his natural Scottish accent though instead of the English estuary accent.
I love how the 10th says I'm the Doctor Im a Timelord and there's a spark and then I'm from Galifrey and there's another spark. A very nice touch there.
The Doctor is a part of all of us and our lives ❤❤
Fugitive Doctor was the first time we ever saw the chameleon arch reversal process. With the Tenth Doctor and War Master it cut away just as they opened the watch.
My favorite part about all the DW videos right now is to see David tenant back telling me to subscribe to the official DW channel 😂
the man that stops the monster
Guys, I might be crazy but I think he’s… a physician?
He's clearly a psychiatrist
So if the Fugitive Doctor is pre-Hartnell, then how is her TARDIS a police box? The First Doctor is the one who broke the chameleon circuit in 1963 and got it stuck as a police box. It wasn't always like that.
I don’t include anything in 13s era as canon. It’s easier that way.
Forget about season 11-13
@@saskruffriders8234 And what will you do, if RTD build on that? ^^
She might not be pre Hartnell. She could be a in between doctor and if I had to guess which Doctors she was in between I would go with her being a Doctor in between 2 and 3 or she could be a future incarnation or she might not even be the Doctor or she might never be mentioned again. Who knows? All I know is Chibs should of answered these questions. My hope though is she is a future incarnation cause the secret incarnations are now old and tiresome. Also I hope we never do these secret incarnations again. It was cool with the war Doctor but now theres no reason for anymore secret incarnations.
@@ragus8784 Dude, the writing can’t get any worse than what we’ve recently had. If RTD writes quality stories period; then it doesn’t matter what we saw with 13.
Seeing David do the outro always makes me smile.
He's the Doctor!
I still stand by that we havent had a bad Doctor yet. Yes there are some I like more than others but from all 15 doctors from Hartnell to Tennant again and soon Ncuti they have all been great in their own way
YES ! The Doctor is the Doctor !
Quite right. 👍
100% agree NMDs can go cry in a corner
Don't forget John Hurt, Jo Martin and Rowan Atkinson.
The Valeyard was the bad Doctor.
I would imagine we will see more of Jo Martin's Doctor, should Davies decide to pick up that story. And then there's 12 and Clara, my favorites ("The man who stops the monsters".) And the one who really, really, didn't want to go, and is back again.
I don’t think it’s likely, considering what Chibnall has said in interviews. I wish they could keep her without the whole timeless child retcon. I actually think a lot of the other ideas introduced by Chibnall including Ruth, the Swarm, and other aspects could’ve been implemented in either a future/alternate universe/blank space way without rewriting the characters history
@@Condor-gb1xp TTC is not a retcon as there is no previous continuity from that era to be overwritten.
The character being a Time Lord (rather than a human) is a retcon as it is explicitly stated that the Doctor was a human in stories such as _The Sensorites_ (1964).
@@Condor-gb1xp And literally none of that is true, which you clearly know since you’ve now deleted that tirade entirely (not quickly enough for me to read it from the email notification, though!).
1969 (Time Lords) was not “within the first two years of the show”; neither were 1966 (regeneration) nor 1970 (the Doctor being not human).
No, it is not a retcon. A retcon requires one or more previous events to be overwritten in such a way that the original versions of those events are incompatible with the new versions, which TTC took great care to not do.
Nope. It destroyed nothing of TTotD or any other previous DW lore.
If you have to lie about what something has done just to have any “proof” of your claims, then it rather shows that those claims are blatantly bogus, surely?
Nah the best thing RTD can do is completely over-write the whole timeless child thing and find a way to make it as though it never happened
@@DrWhoFanJ ??? I didn’t delete anything?

Oh the goosebumps!!!
The best ending message of the video!
I love Jodie, but I still can’t help thinking “what if” Jo was 13 and we got to see those adventures.
At least we'd have known where she fits in to all this.
@@AndrewChapman Its just typical Chibnall, throw a curveball purely for shock value without actually knowing how it would fit. If she wasnt called the doctor it would be fine, just an incarnation we never knew about, but he just had to make her the doctor and completely fly in the face of the lore.
This is epic and amazing
I never understood Capaldi Dr, it took watching him a second time to really appreciate his Dr. I was to drained from watching Tennant and Smith, two similar Dr's to understand a newer version and after the rewatching he's now in my top 2.

Tom Baker and Peter Capaldi tie for my favorite. (Been watching since 1981)
I'm way behind on Jodie's rendition, so not overly familliar with what was going on with Jo Martin's character, but I did hear a LOT of complaints.
As I said, I don't know what was happening with this, but it contrary to many of these complaints, it DOES fit.
Way back in Tom Baker's Brain of Morbius serial, during a mental Arm wrestling game called Mind Bending, we see our Doctor pushed back through his previous three incarnations, AND back through at least three more.
Hartnell's incarnation was NOT the first.
Other comments throughout the Old Serials hint that the Doctor is Far more than "Just" a Timelord.
The only problem I can see (Again, NOT Having seen Jo's story) is the use of the Police Box disguise or indeed it being THAT Specific Time Capsule .
We see Hartnell's Doctor Fretting when the Chameleon Circuit got stuck in it's most recent disguise, in the Unearthly Child way back in the first serial (Clearly indicating that it hadn't looked like that Prior to the junkyard) and we also see Clara directing Hartnell/Bradley's doctor to the Time Capsule we all know and Love...
Perhaps that WAS Martin's time Capsule, at some time point in it's own timeline after we see her meeting Whitaker and Hartnell/Bradley's Doctor didn't recognize it or just wasn't the sentimental type about the Tardis until later on..
As for the disguise, Perhaps the disguise is more of a Perception filter than the outside of the Tardis actually Changing physically...
And Whitaker's Doctor Percieves it as HER Tardis and therefore SEES it as the Police Box??
Sorry, Long Winded and kind of a Non Sequitur...
But the idea popped into my brain when I watched this vid and I felt like expressing it.
This has “Morbius vs Doctor faces” debate been argued about since BoM first debuted.
Chib’s take was that those really were pre-Hartnell Doctors and not just Morbius’ faces.
Introducing Jo as Doctor/Ruth just compounds that there was at least one previous cycle, if not more.
Even 13 seeing a “police box” was really a perception filter has been discussed, too.
Also, Jo does pop up several more times, esp in s13. 🤐

Great, but not gonna include any "I am the Doctor!" moments from Classic Who then? Especially as the latest logo is a revamp of the 1973-80 logo. Not to mention what's coming this November.
The biggest let down is that they never utilized the Fugitive Doctor... could have been an amazing arc.
That was a stupid retcon.
Ideally all of the Chibnall era content would disappear and take the place of all the lost DW episodes. BTW Jo Martin is not a bad actor, I'm not even against her playing a future iteration of the Doctor, but as stated earlier the Fugitive Doctor is a stupid retcon.
The concept of the Fugitive Doctor was stupid. Now Jo Martin as a Doctor incarnation herself, that would be awesome.
I would totally be behind her returning to the series in any other role. Hell, give her a spin as the new Missy, guarantee she'd be a great villain.
@@majesticloonproudctions9718 I was not talking about the Timeless Child garbage... they could have gone in a completely different interesting direction with the idea. A mystery in the vein of River Song that unraveled over time.
@@Levorthian Alright fair play, I can agree on at that! I do hate the retconning of established lore, for me the first Doctor was Hartnell (as flawed a human being as he was.) the only retcon to the numbers that I have been willing to accept is the War Doctor.
Sorry for being a bit hostile there! You have a good day!
@@majesticloonproudctions9718 No-one ever said William Hartnell wasn’t the First Doctor; that’s a common misconception created by the NMD crowd as a nonsense talking point to “disguise” (unsuccessfully) their true bigoted reasons for hating the era.

I kinda want to watch all the doctor who episodes up till the special, one episode every day. That way I can prepare for it. So if you could give us the release date that would be helpful. Then I can make reminders to start when it’s close.
im the doctor btw
As brilliant as Jo Martin has been, those moments between 5:20 and 6:00 when I thought 'Ruth' was a hidden rogue Time Lord but *not* The Doctor were even more exciting. A pre-Hartnell Doctor having a Police Box still doesn't make sense, I'm afraid.
Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if Doctor Ruth is an alternate Doctor from a parallel universe, or something. Could explain why neither of them remember each other, could explain the police box TARDIS, would actually fix a lot of things with a bit of careful retconning.
@@MrOmegatronic that sounds possible, also the fact she calls the TARDIS her "ship" is also interesting because only early incarnations of the Doctor called it the ship.
It makes perfect sense. The TARDIS landed in the 1950s (when a police box was a perfectly rational disguise for the chameleon circuit to pick), and then got buried near the lighthouse when the Doctor used the chameleon arch (so the Time Lords could never find her).
Being underground all that time means there was no reason to pick a new form, so the police box stayed put all those decades.
It stayed like that for the rest of the story for the same reason human beings often stay in bed a while first thing in the morning: If you’ve spent a very long time in the same state, it will take a long time before your systems are ready for something else!

Edit: Ten is the calmest with a nuclear storm😂
I so want the Fugitive Doctor to return. Got thinking about the numbering. Hartnell is still the 1st Doctor... even if there was multiple forms before...I am thinking, when they forced the 13 limit on the Doctor, cause before, there was no limit, so my guess is that William Hartnell is the 1st Doctor of his then new 13 Regen limit. So, he will would have been the 1st, Patrick woould been playing the his first change in thagt 13 regen limit, this would be still the 2nd Doctor. Anyways, want to see the Fugitive Doctor return, lean more why she was a fugitive, and her meeting other Doctor regens. I also loved her Doctor Outfit too.

BritBox is your best bet
Four, Ten and Eleven had the best Doctors, Twelve had the most meaningful stories and Thirteen unfortunately never got half of what they got. Thirteen could have had some interesting dynamics, but one area they missed the mark on was the “fury of a timelord” aspect. 9-12 all had those moments. 9 had the moment with the last Dalek telling it to off itself and with Cassandra exploding. 10 had plenty of moments from when he first regenerated (“I gave them the wrong warning. I should have told them to run as fast as they can…”), the incident with the racnoss queen, to the family of blood. 11 had Colonel Runaway, the Forest of Angels, and the town with the robot cowboy. 12 with the scale version of war between Kate and the Zygon and the incident with Ashildr. But what did 13 have? Nothing as strong as her previous incarnations and few stories as meaningful as her predecessors.
when he said 6billion you look back and now its 8billion
Just to note, I had nothing to do with that; just sayin'.
As lovely as Jodie was, I really feel we were robbed of not having Jo on full time as the Doctor. She has such presence.
Maybe someday we'll all get lucky and see/read/hear it. I loved when she showed up.
@@johnnyprovo7157 We will. Big Finish is confirmed to be working on audio adventures of the Fugitive. You can find it on their website. There are no details except that Jo is involved, but it is a thing. I also loved her in the role despite all the canon controversies.
I will always get annoyed whenever I hear Ruth says shes the doctor. Not because im racist, sexist or anything silly like that, but because it flies in the face of the lore. Hartnell took on the title of the doctor, not some random from a previous incarnation to him that he doesnt even remember. I dont mind there being previous incarnations, its established in lore through the Morbius episode that the doctor does have more faces than even he knows about, but they CANNOT be called the doctor. Same with her Tardis, its impossible for it to be a police box as it was Hartnells tardis that broke its chameleon circuit when it landed. It makes zero sense for her tardis to have the police box look. To me she is "the Fugitive" and her Tardis looking the way it does is due to 13s being in the same time.
It was never confirmed William Hartnell’s incarnation was the one who “made the promise” to be the Doctor, so that “complaint” makes no sense.
And you’re seriously surprised a TARDIS with a working chameleon circuit chose a police box for her disguise upon landing in 1950s England‽ Another “complaint” that makes no sense.
Third time lucky? Oh. No, there isn’t a third one at all. Oh, well. Better luck next time? Try and find problems that actually exist in future, OK?
