Omg, this is SUCH an old video! Back from our Kill Bill thumbnail days lol. Time to do an upgrade, I think - Ché has a solid traditional jumbi undo routine. I like to mix the old and new in mine (very brief warm-up in one of my random beginner videos.) It's nice that our old videos get a little bit of love still - I hope our growth as a channel is super clear :)
I’d be interested in seeing a “daily karate routine” video from you. What the essentials are and how to put them into a home practice. Your videos are truly great, thanks for all the content!
What a fantastic idea! We love it! We will definitely look into doing something like that :) Thank you for the kind words, and for watching our humble videos - we are so glad they are of use to the wider karate community 🥋
One comment I learned in traditional karate (after training wado ryu and goji ryu) is that every stance should be 50/50. I'm talking about your center of gravity even when it looks like most of the weight is on one leg, like in the cat stance. Otherwise, I think this is a great warm up!
Hello, Thank you for this! Yes, it should be mostly 50/50 (except maybe 60/40 in Zenkutsudachi, but it depends on who you ask.) This is such an old video, so we hope you've seen some of our newer work.
Hello fellow karateka! Thank you, again, for the continuation of excellent, straight forward content. So, first, as you may know, without a mic for Jagger, Sensei's karategi, it is difficult to hear him when he is not giving instruction;). When he begins to give instruction, it would seem he "projects" a bit more;). I hope this is constructive. I am still grateful for all your efforts to help us learn, and grow. Secondly, I enjoy when You comment, Zoe, Sensei, making the video viewer feel/realise, that your participation is as important, and always needed too! Plus, its sometimes humorous, which I for one appreciate. Lastly, I want to once again express my gratitude for the both of you encompassing, and including the subtle (or sometimes less so) stylistic/school differences, and the consistent admonishment of "do what your Sensei tells you!". Always good advise, that;)! I'm a proud member of I.O.G.K.F., 10+ years now, and I studied in another, "Shotokan-esque" style previous, but still feel that there is plenty to learn from many styles, including your channel's detailed content. And I'm glad that that seems to be the message your sharing. Sorry for the mini novel! Take care! M
We love your mini-novel! Comments/messages like these really help us stay motivated, especially when when we have a lot of technical issues and we worry that we're not producing the quality we hope for. We are getting a lapel mic soon soon, which will hopefully make the sound a great deal better for our karate friends 🙇🏻♀️ I love adding the comments to the videos - it brings some fun to the editing process, and it never ceases to delight me when they are noticed and appreciated. Thank you for watching, for being so supportive of our content and for taking the time to comment. IOGKF is lucky to have you! Stay safe and may your training always be fruitful 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️
