When something isn't working, and you take it all apart to find out what's wrong, and then put it back together without changing anything, but once it's back together it works perfectly.... that's because taking it apart and putting it back together lets it know you *care* about it, and it'll try its best to do what you tell it to do.
@@thehorriblebright I made friends with the gremlins a long time ago - I started using their ways of screwing things up for *creative*, rather than destructive inspiration. This made them so angry they started leaving my stuff alone.
As much as i love the He-Man sword i'm really missing the huge ass swords. Recently they have all been itty bitty baby swords. I hope after this one you find another giant one to make. Keep up the great work!
I just saw him on to tell the truth yesterday, you never know how great it feels when you're the show with family or friends and just say "I bet you $20 it's number 3".
Wow cant wait for the finshed product here....I love that you chose this version of the Sword of power from the Filmation cartoon: Very iconic sword! Now to use the infinity gems to get this fine gent to allow me to order one!
Yep you got it right it’s pronounced now-rah 👍👍👍great build so far I really enjoy your videos keep them coming,,,,,, P.S it was great to meet you at Sydney
There's a fantastic documentary on the development of He-Man on Netflix. Turns out the original toy sword was based on an existing mold from another toyline and was split into two swords. The concept was dropped only shortly before the cartoon was produced changing from the key to open Greyskull to the object He-Man uses to transform. She-Ra's was originally identical with a jewel in it, so now we expect to see that.If you dare!
I just had a possibly slightly interesting idea for you Mike. I think it would be cool if during your builds if there was a long period where your unable to work on a project that you maybe take a cut off of an old sword blank and make a mini build for it. I believe you’ve done that on a few occasions but I love things that’s are totally cobbled together. Anyways, you’re doing great on all your builds, keep up the good work!
I remember thinkin about seen the sword in real and even havin an idea if it was possible or not,but i was a kid ,i would make em with cardboard or use a stick to represent it and my nephew that i raised he was the same way as mine but now he can see how ppl make this aweaome stuff evrywhere
Hey mike I do not know if you have one or now but is there any way you could make an Amazon wish list with accessories you need? (I.e cutting disks and sandpaper and such) I would love to support when I can
@@secretsquirrelaka-vesuvius3672 Yeah, but that's monthly, the wishlist thing would let someone do a one time help out with minor stuff when they have some pocket change to spare without committing to a monthly pay
They have diamond encrusted jigsaw blades that is for cutting stones and very hard metals. You might want to look into something like that. They are cheap enough to find.
Niceee, and youtube actually remembered to recommend this to me for a change :D Edit: What happend to the sponsor? you had the best ad breaks ever, why no more? :(
Trade secret, you should use a circular saw with a metal cutting blade and feed it continuously with cutting oil. You can cut up to 1" plate with a square edge even with a radius in about 30 minutes.
Things I want to comment about in this video: Beginning: Showers are for dorks Interesting theory on the sword's design NOVA HAS THE POWWWWWWWEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!! Couldn't you just do the same thing you did with the Red Sonja sword to make that? Operation big giant mess... It happened. The air pressure was leveled sky high because showers are for dorks
Some times is you take the jig saw and just run the pish out of it... you kind of burn/cut it sometimes works... I’ve made it work a few times. Although I’ve never tried it on hardox
That cutting out took twice as long bit killed me. I went to click the like button but found I had already done it subconsciously.
Bless his heart, he makes the ends of each vid unique to every series instead of recycling one for all of them
"Thats not a knife, thats a chisel" "I see you've played knifey chisels, before"
"...like I would say...twice as long."

Nova in the background of the intro.
your dedication is legendary, sir, it's always a pleasure watching your work come to life.
Operation big giant mess is a simple spell but quite unbeatable
Let us all admire how he could have just slapped a plate on but took the extra steps for his artistic vision.

All to do with caching of databases. They are not always the latest data from the cache servers so to keep load off the main servers.
I don’t know why you put this up at 2AM but I’m glad you did
CollectPanda33 because it’s not 2 am in Norway (or whatever northern country he is in)
Mike's back! Damn how I've missed him.
You always lubricate the air tools with 3 drops of air tool oil before using them
Great channel
Use ATF it's close to the original oils.
After struggling myself with a huge rounded edge on thunder fury seeing you throw that line at the end of the video is just not fair.

This was like Wile E. Coyote from the Looney Tunes as he also never tried the same plan again. :D
Haven't watched a second and I'm already liking this.
Some people don't like the video broken up, but every "Aburpt cut to me standing here" gives me a chuckle, so I don't mind at all

How to make a man cry tears of Joy. Seeing Mike make swords
Me: crack kills
Michael Cthulhu : there's a lot of dust in that crack
I've worked with this metal before. I was laughing thinking about all the cutting wheels you must have went through. Shit is tuff!
Holy crap! How is it possible this hadn't been commissioned yet???

Thank you brother I was waiting for this build
Absolutely gorgeous so far! Well done!
How has it taken this long to get to make this sword! Legendary! :)

Hey Mike, quick question: Why not just plasma cut after using the angle grinder to separate the pieces easier and save all that trouble?
Wow what a work you have done, amazing job
love these videos, so calming.
Lol thank for explaining. Keep up the good work dude
Operation Big Giant Mess. Now this, is an Avengers level threat
Love your work, you inspired me to make big giant swords 😁
Sword looks awesome!!! Question what do you think of the 2002 version of he mans sword
Wow, this should be the most accurate Sword of Grayskull Ever made. Accurate to the original cartoon that is. I hope to make one Identical someday.
Fantastic videos been a fan since the beginning
You need to oil your air tools at least once a week. Light oil in the air intake, just a squirt.
Rob Teer HA! I laugh at recommended routine maintenance.
What kind of equipment does michael use for recording? I want to make things on youtube but I don't know what kind of recorder or mic I need though.
Fred Carrillo was amazing. Great artist:)

Well that explains the sudden spell of windy weather here in the UK !!!
Even needs a boarderlands buzz axe and psycho suit.
Oh yes! And his daughter could be Tiny Tina. After seeing her smash stuff using the Harley mallet the role is hers
the jigsaw works fine, but you need to use a coolant in blade (soluble or cutting oil)

Most of his work is commission based
michaelcthulhu, the real life Man-At-Arms.
Fantastic! It was one of my suggestions 😜
Amazing as always.
ive so been waiting for you to do the power sword next you have todo the thundercats sword of omens
@15:15 Dude. You need to take breaks more often. Its not healthy to have that much preassure built up.
you must go though thousands of cutoff wheels...LOL
Way longer to cut a half inch blank than a quater inch like I'd say........*glares at camera* twice as long. Funny stuff Michael
I love this man.
He man!! Superb, good on ya lad
Ah, yes!
Another video from my swordsmith hero!
