So if I make two normal sized swords that combined weigh about the same as a respectable giant sword does that count?

Here's that thing my kids were excited about (also; first): teamtrees.org/
One of my favorite "UA-camrs" participating in the biggest youtube collaboration possibly ever! Raising 20 million dollars to plant 20 million trees by 2020!
So incase you were still wondering what exactly your kids are talking about. Basically, there is this UA-camr that goes by the name Mr. Beast and he is starting a sort of charity where for ever 1 dollar recieved a tree will be planted. Mr. Beast has gotten a very large amount of channel involved in spreading the message. He hope's to plant 20 million trees by 2020. I'm glad your kids are excited about this and have got you on board. It's a good cause, more trees can only help our planet Earth.
It seems odd that I remember watching your videos when they were little babies. Now do what they say!
I know this shit is hard but i think Yhorms' great machete because it seems like you like big ass swords
muuuuuum michaelcthulu cheated to get fiiiiirst
Ive gotten so used to hearing "ABRUPT CUT TO ME STANDING HERE!" that I kinda really like it now lol.
mugglesmonster I listen to the whole thing every time. I never get sick of it
the triangled fingers for the punishing "UA-cam Algorithm" in some of the more recent vids is fantastic, too
I'm at 4:04 and I just want to say I love everything he explains. I came across this channel years ago and he still explains stuff as if he's got new people watching (which he does). Idk, I love it. He's probably said it himself thousands of times already but still explains the process regardless.
One of the best parts, is he doesn't explain it *every time*, so new people will eventually get the explanation, but older viewers don't need to put up with it every single build.
Everyone just ignore that he said the n word
@@erictruong324 That is both an amazing and unforunate timestamp... LMFAO
Troy Records Jr. Holy shit, that time stamp
@@takatotakasui8307 omg i didnt realize that
A Dark Souls build? This should be a good one.
But its not one of the wackier ones :\ still good though.
@@nikwaggoner2480 imagine him making amygdala's arm lol
Every technical skill is always easier to understand when you add the "swoosh-swoosh" sound to your explanations! One day professors, doctors and politicians will also adopt this great technique!
This man is from a time when men were men and sheep were nervous
I'm glad Mike has been breaking videos up into multiple parts. Let's me watch his content easier and give him more views/watch time
I really like that you do that tree thing because it's something your kids are excited about! It's a great cause and it's a good thing to do but it's just so wholesome that you want to do this because of the kids asking you :)
More Dark Souls weapons please! I've been trying to find someone who does this!
Making these videos in portions has made it easier for me to keep up with your work. These blades are one of my favorite weapons to use on a luck build (inflicting bleed)
as a young journeyman welder the line "hes got a lot of grinding to do" gives me nom flashbacks thousand yard stare and everything.
That last bit with your kids was absolutely adorable lol
14:58 "there _was_ a little hammer in there..." story of my life
In order for this build to be possible, the Twinblades first had to be ported into Skyrim, and then Andre had to be ported into real life.
Omfg he's totally Andre the fuckin blacksmith how have I never noticed this!
19:05 From looking at it in some DS3 videos I think the thickness of the blade tapers out towards the tip (as is usual with most swords I think), so it really doesn't end in such a weird spike.
the need for distal taper is very real
Okay I'm officially in love with you mike😂 praise the sun yall
Michael needs not your fancy-pants "hammers"! For BEHOLD! HE HAS RANDOM CHUNKS OF STUFF!!
Wish we knew more about Eben(?)
I guess the Patreons probably do, but for the non-Patreons he kinda just started working together with Michael in one video and every video since then. No real introduction or background. Unless I missed it, but I watch pretty much every build video. I imagine there are a bunch of things non-Patreons don't know and are missing out on, but that's fair. Not complaining
That explanation on the plasma cutter is really helpful btw.
Also the notch would make a cool sword breaker type deally
I don't use plasma cutter myself, but my colleague from work uses it quite often.
He's way to hold it is to put the hand with handle on top of his other hand, so he can support his main hand with his off hand and he can slowly move both hand to make precise cuts.
How well does it kill necromorphs?
There are too many good weapons in DS! Please make more! I Love You!
Two thumbs up on your template making procedures! 👍👍
I'm right there with ya.
I love the Warden twinblades, used them through a lot of my most recent run
So fancy with the thumbnail , I like it
For ever dollar donated Mr beast will plant a tree goal is to plant 20,000,000 trees. It's a great thing to do glad to see that every ones participating.
You make the coolest knifves, keep it up.
Yes. I would say that counts. However, I would also say, the reason you make such a living breathing life into what ever beastful thing you produce, giant or micro is because you're amazing at your craft. Everything you make is as near to mythical as the real world gets.
@9:05 READY?...GO! It's grinder racing time!
Oh my god when i changed my gmail a year ago i forgot to resubscribe, glad to see michael is still doing this!!!
My fav weapon in the game too!
I didn’t think I’d hear about team trees on a blacksmith channel but youtube is a strange place in 2019
Use soldering iron to make precise holes in elastic, man made materials. Seals edge so doesn't fray.Great vid as always.ThankQ. TkEZ>UK
Trees and metal - best hobbies!
@michaelcthulhu Keep up the good work!! ive always wanted to get into sword and knife making and i watch all your vids alot paying close attention. i still havent gotten into it yet but just from your explanations and such ive learned a good bit
Nice!!! Some of my favorite weapons from DS3!!
im a simple guy. i see michaelcthulhu and darksouls and it makes me very happy
Finally a Dark Souls build!
For the templates transfer you have always used draughting dots.... go to the dollar store and get some fridge magnets and rip the magnet out... no mess and work perfectly...., just a tip mike
So wholesome man I love your vids keep them comin!!
Just gotta highlight “long and floppy” didn’t you 😂
That got a spit-take from me, only to look up and see it on the screen. The second spit-take hit the monitor.
Starting @17:05 this needs to be in one of those "satisfying" videos. It may be a nuisance, but it's an awesome thing to see.
This dude is a real life Andre the Blacksmith
Andre of Astora's hard at work on these bad boys
@michaelcthulhu Have you thought of using Chicago Screws instead of the rivets, regarding replacing the elastics on your goggles? It would mean you can reuse the screws over and over, and you can use washers as spacers.
Watching a discovery channel and who was shown on a programme....... was early days ... still fun to view
Dark Souls related buid. My life is complete!
I would like to see you in the next rpg game I play, as the local blacksmith... it would be great. Petition this up and make it happen!
Im freggen excited for this one !!!
The outro was so sweet :D
Dark souls build, awesome.
Dad of the year, this one 🤣👏
After seeing a lot of your videos, it scared me when you ran you thumb along the edge while saying "I sharpened it to the best of my ability" :)
The Gnomes/ Elves? No no no. You’ve got Gremlins good sir Burn dried Sage at the four corners of your land, around the house and work shed. Good luck you’re gonna need it👍🏻. Also your looking more fit. I guess the massive influx of tiny sword builds is harder work then a handful of huge damn swords a year.
You can get a head guide for your plasma cutter torch so you don't have to hover or prop your hand on the steel. It's just a ring with a tab on either side that keeps the tip just off of your work piece. If you already knew that then my bad lol.
So the head became damaged after spurting and splattering the long floppy sword?
Shade This is just a natural result when you’re crossing swords with another man
Get this guy to 100million Subscribers.
So michaelcthulhu is making a Dark Souls Bleed Build...
Now, if you excuse, I'm gonna kermit sudoku for that joke...
the mighty algoritme is rong 20 minutes to short for me but love your video"s michael keep up the amazing work Best Wishes from Belgium
yay make more dark souls swords
I'd like to build a device that would essentially be a mechanical, articulating device that has a type of "sling" on the bottom of it, and it allows you to rest your arm in it for doing work like plasma cutting. Make it so you can either hang it from the ceiling or anchor it with four legs to the four corners of a work surface. And it would essentially move perfectly with your arm, with no obstruction, but also support the weight of your arm leaning into it. It wouldn't be anything complicated or overly technical. Some aluminum bar stock, bearings, fasteners, and a lot of machining.
@P D It wouldn't take up much space at all. I don't know what image you have in mind for what I described, but hanging a few aluminum bars and a sling from the ceiling won't exactly have you scrounging for space. And a scooter board presents limits in how and where it can be used.
Looks like Mike lost a bit of weight. Looking good bro
Duelin grinders! Nice
The difference in the tip of the sword is because one of your references is a perfect side view (the skyrim one) while the other is held by a character in a videogame, the one in the video game is at an angle (like rotated clockwise around the handle/in the hand of the character)
Wow I did not think that the tree thing would make it all the way to Mike usually he is not part of the you too culture as a whole
I am a simple man, i see a DS build i click like.
go kids, go Mike, go teamtrees!!
@09:00 queue guitar riffs of doom!
I was worried for a bit when your son was hanging down from that height. Glad the boy has good grip strength.
Gremlins, they hate welders. Careful Mike, they've got you in their sights
Mike showing, that not every tool is a hammer, but pretty much anything you can barely reach, can act as a hammer
When you own the game you could have extracted the gamefiles in a 3D-Program like Blender. My friends and i used this, to create a Dark Souls 3 Cosplay. We did the Cathedral knight armor.
LET THE BOY DANCE
Wow... Dark souls is everywhere haha, nice! Get this man a ps4 and ds3 :)
Millscale actally doesn't contain any carbon. It's iron ixide. Basically dehydrated rust.
Mr Beast is some YTer that has gotten famous for charitable acts. He's planting an ass ton of trees to help the planet.
usualy dont do this but first! on topic: hell yeah, dark souls!
Nice filenames bro.
I feel you. I run a 5k watt oxy laser cnc and the slag and carbon from a bad cut is a nightmare
I watch these videos when i study ... i make straight A’s
"YOU DIED" brought to the real world.
I applaud you for admitting you use a potato for a pc . WTF though...lol
I love ya man and I have watched every one of your videos.
that blade from Skyrim looks like the blade of Woe
Hey go to bitchute you won't have as many issues as you do on UA-cam on bitchute bitchute doesn't get in your way plus you be reaching more people love your work man
Why is this guy's name not "Andre the Blacksmith"? He looks and sounds just like him, especially the shot of him with his shirt off
I bet Vaati ordered this.
I could have given you the 3D image files for that weapon. I have them in my Skyrim SE game. Any weapons you need from any games, I very likely have the texture/mesh files for them. I have all of the Dark Souls and Bloodbourne weapon packs, Sekiro, among dozens of others.
Here's some screenshots of some of the gear I'm using in Skyrim (there's some nudity, but it's "artistic"): drive.google.com/open?id=1IfrADQWWwDpDooWiasqg7-r-6sDxJNAU
Some nudity, he says. Probably just the usual "armour for women" what doesn't cover anything, thinks I - I've played skyrim, it's not that bad. First image. *blink* *blink* Righto then. Can't say I wasn't warned. ;-]
@@llearch Not your typical Skyrim. haha
@@AlphaMachina I was going to ask where to find it, yes. ;-]
@@llearch loverslab
If you imitated yoda you would be able to sound just like him. I realized it in one part when you where about to start the project in the shop. Lol just felt like mentioning that 🤪
Flame, dear flame
Grinders have Guards??? Always wondered what that extra piece of metal in the box was for.
Wow, Michael I couldn't help but notice the size of your cold chisel, you may be over compensating a little.
looks like I'm just in time
Someone should have Michael do the Zweihänder and Mask of the Father
Anything you can pick up and swing is hammer ...except screwdriver , is chisel !
should have asked the internet first i could have got you a 4k picture of ot up close
HAHAHAHA YES!!!! NOW HE NEEDS TO DO THE MOONLIGHT GREATSWORD!!!!
Yeah so its kinda small, but that will do. Thinking of the giant enemies.
Sure people might freak out about you not having the guards on, but hey you still have all your fingers so what do they know. Right?
Haha :D Its like 3/4th if your height and one hander :D and you say its small. But then again, you are the dude who makes giant swords.
Now to do one of those ridiculous Bloodborne weapons.
45 in is pretty long for a single handed weapon. Don't worry Mike it's still giant
