What the hell are they talking about?
I have some dope ideas I never made a screen play before.

“She fell funny” was in fact sinister.
I love that movie.
It's one of the best ever.
What's the name of the movie?
You know it’s a knock off of a Hong Kong movie. Internal affairs
@@RikSolsticeoh black mass is a really good movie
I love that movie. It's one of my favorites . Everyone was excellent in it. A n All Star cast and it took place in Boston. Cool . Whitey and his gang controlled a section of Boston called, s o u t h i e.They were called the Winter Hill Gang. It's loosely based on a true story. Years before it was made, I told the story while visiting my parents, brother and his California Almost wife and said, someday, they're going to make a movie about. I guarantee it. Then they did. The Departed. There were so many good scenes in that movie! I was friends with a former member who told me a few things. One question I asked. Did you ever meet Whitey. He said, once. Frequently, I tell people about that movie and if they haven't seen it, I tell them it's a must see, but do not watch it with children. You may not believe me when I tell you this, but the first time I saw that movie and I saw that woman fall, after he shot her , I thought to myself that she fell funny. Just an observation, probably meaningless and immediately after that Jack Nicholson as Whitey Bulger said to his friend, she fell funny. He was right, she did, and Matt Damon was right too. He does this all the time. Like it was nothing to him. His friend's response , Mr French , was good to. They purposely made it, for her to fall that way, and for the audience to see it. Like me. Others may have noticed it too. It was intentional. Awesome film!
“But if you leave the camera rolling…”
*3.5 hour movie
It worth every bit of that 3 and half hours
Was it really that long? I never felt like it was too long. Meanwhile, there are plenty of interminable two-hour movies.
@@AshenElk it was two and a half hours long

Not the director’s cut…but “The Jokers cut”
This is why those great times when a brilliant actor gives even more life to a decent script and a great director is willing to accept
Definitely, when a director is willing to listen to the actor portraying a character who might have valuable input due to their direct insight to the character's thought process it could prove to be highly useful.
He is a murderer.
He sure knows how to tell a story.
No one tells a story like Damon. He is absolutely hilarious in every interview I’ve seen. Such charisma. 😄
Imagine Matt growing up being a straight laced kid. Then in school he meets a guy
H e meets a guy who he has lunch. Matt plots that one day Ben will meet a girl named Jennifer. Before that, Matt shows his genius math skills to a bearded man who has great laughs with wisdom hiding behind has green eyes.Robin was his name and he happened to know a great writer whose name was Ben who was curious about a girl named Jenifer. She lived a few states away tending her garden and has a cooking channel with a former convict.
Matt, the math genius teams up with Robin. They head to LA where Ben is waiting. There is a hotel named simply 13. Ben , with some other scoundrels make plans to rob 13. Matthew and Robin use their genius math skills to skim off the money, waiting a car for Ben

one of the best moments in the film, nuance-wise.
The Departed is one of the absolute best movies I've ever seen. As usual Jack Nickleson put that extra devilish charm in every scene he was in. The whole cast was perfect for this movie which is why I've seen it no less than 5 times now and still counting. It's just that good!
You know the departed is a rip-off of a Chinese series called Infernal Affairs? The Chinese version is better. It's more intense and without comedy throughout it.
@@DescartesRenegade But then again the comedy, or dark humor to make it precise, made The Departed more enjoyable than it's predecessor... Also, though some can't fully understand Boston accent, you don't have to be bothered reading subtitles while watching...

The Departed is a great movie. It moved directly into my top 10 list after I saw it the first time. The last 30 minutes is crazy.
Whenever I'm driving somewhere and I want it to feel like I'm on my way to something important I put on "I'm Shipping up to Boston" and turn it all the way up.
Great movie and yes, If it’s not in anyone’s top 10, they really don’t know good movies or just have bad taste.

Sick f***ed up scenes like this show the talent AND versatility of these 2 great actors. 😉👍
That would've made the scene even better with those extra lines that Jack Nickleson came up with.
Leave the camera rolling.
It is so refreshing to see a talented actor who also has a brilliant mind. This is rare, noteworthy, and appreciated.
"But if ya leave the camera rolling..." 🤣🤣🤣

Matt Damon does a great Jack Nicholson impersonation. 😂 "The Departed" is one of my favorite Martin Scorsese movies. That cast did an amazing job and that entire film was epic! 😎👍
The fact that The Departed is "one"o of your favorite Scorsese movies just shows how incredible the man's filmography is. To have a body of work in which the Departed is not far and away the best but just one among many is just awe inspiring.

It was too 10, until I found out it was a redo of a Thai movie series.
Amazing story and example of why Nicholson is a brilliant acting MIND. The ability to inhabit a character and also step outside of it while maintaining the essence at a high level is crazy
Matt Damon is really good. I can picture this whole conversation happening in real time. Amazing
He talked about this on Inside the Actors Studio. Jack had learned to maximize scenes at no cost from working with Roger Corman
and the last "but if you leave the camera rolling" is missing from this clip. It is:
"Ray says: I think you got a problem."
I thought he said “I really think you need to see somebody.” Could be wrong tho
Jack's "interpretation" of Costello is typically brilliant. I'll never forget the gnawing rat impression....pure Jack😂😂😂
His impression has me rolling harder than the camera 🤣🤣🤣
Damon could have a 2nd career as an impressionist. His Matt McConaughey is incredible.
That impersonation scene on David Letterman lives rent-free in my head.
I'm always thinking about "a good opportunity to take my shirt off".
His Cruise is decent, too.
"now you could end the scene there, but if you keep the camera rolling, we could take our shirts off"
It's true, his John Malkovich playing a russian is hilarious😂
And that is exactly why Jack Nicholson is one of the best Jokers ever he knows how to play a twisted character
We know who the best joker is tho
That is amazing, Jack dives deep and actors around him learn.
💯
i haven't watched The Departed, but i've come across this short a few times... it's making me want more and more to watch it.
If you leave camera rolling 😅😅😅
Now you can end the scene there, but
Then I turn to … and say,
Funny thing is there is nothing rolling in that camera
Matt Damon is a great story teller. This, his story about seeing a football match in Argentina.
Also his tom cruise story
I keep coming back to this one. Nicholson is a legend.
The brilliant Jack Nicholson 👏
Legend has it the Camera still rollin!!!
Good one
Matt Damon your fans are loyal! We love you!
I love how he's channelling Nicholson while speaking, I love when actors impersonate each other.
And then one more time if you keep the camera rolling Ray will turn to me and say "I think you really should see somebody"
His impressions is on point🔥
Jack Nicholson is a genius, not just for this but for how he’s added so much to most of the films he’s been in. He’s one of the greats.
This story will never be old!! 😆
Pure genius. period.
Love how the cast, Leo, Mark and Damon look like triplets, while Jack Nicholson looks like their father (literally)
Even Ray was like "Really boss?"
Got him 😂
Such a great actor
Every little addition really did improve the scene beyond the original script in delicious bit sized ways.
Some say the camera is still rolling to this day...
Jack really understands subtext. You don't have to tell us the character is sinister you show a scene where all he has to say is "gee, she fell funny," and have another guys holding an axe. As Jack says it's sinister because it means they do it it alone. So no you've told us they are sinister and they've done a lot of executions with just a single line of dialogue without actually saying either of those things.
@Dave Lane gee, thanks for telling everyone you stick you're own dick in your ass. Seriously who pissed in your cheerios?
Matt's impression was great
That impression is spot on
I love this! One actor talking about another in respect
I love Jack Nicholson's acting 👏👍! I have only 2 favorite movies for my life 😁: "The actor and the savages" and the other one : "As good as it gets". I'll never get tired of watching these 2 movies! Thank God I lived enough to know about actors like Toma Caragiu and Jack Nicholson 🙏😉👍🖖!
There you go... the best actor ever - Jack!!! and Matt is complementary as ever (such a nice guy)
Damn, Damon's Nicholson impression is spot on!!!!!
Nicholson told someone I forgot who, that he wouldn’t be where he’d be without being a great writer himself. This just proves that theory 👏
Jack is truly terrifying, I’d love to see him be the Joker again
I always felt that Matt Damon was the prodigy of Jack Nicholson like he and Leo they even look a little bit like him and if you see Jack Nicholson’s son he looks like you put Leo and Matt in a blender and made Jack’s son ❤
That’s a great Jack Nicholson impression and a great call by Nicholson for the scene
Matt Damon has the best fkn stories

@@bjohns3961 it's common knowledge, and sense. Women are, for the most part, the weaker sex. They are normally negotiated for second, after children, in most situations. When the Titanic sank, they had the women and children board life boats before the men (for the most part).
In most wars, men fought while the women maintained the war effort at home. The fact that you don't know this is kind of sad.
