I recently got off my mission, but when I was on my mission, I had a dream that was very vivid regarding the end of days. To me it was from God because in my dream I felt the spirit so immensely strong. In the dream I saw all of the LDS members of this generation, and I instantly understood (I don’t know how) that we were the strongest of Gods children. After that, I saw the world grow in turmoil until finally the economy and other necessities in America completely fell apart. In my dream it was instant. We all thought life was good, but then the next day everything came crashing down. Lastly at the end of my dream, I saw a temple sealing. The Spirit told me strongly that it was vital to be sealed. Since this time, I got married shortly after my mission to the most spiritual person I have ever met. And she and I plan on being sealed in this coming month. Ultimately, I really think the 2nd coming is soon. And I mean REAL soon. Not in 10 years. Less. Pray, go to the temple, and ask God to teach you for yourself. I have a testimony that you can receive revelations about the end days if you have the faith to. God bless y’all!

Please pray for me. I used to be a member of the church, but due to abuse and spiritual attacks, I left. I still believe the church is true, but have found it challenging to return- like a tidal wave cascading towards me and continually pushing me away and knocking me down. My faith has dwindled in Jesus Christ and in God, but I have known their mercies and seen miracles in my life. I still know this is the Church of Jesus Christ, but I feel so lost. I’d like to share my story if that's okay. I am a Welshman, though I have lived the majority of my life in Australia now. I have been a member since I was baptised at 18 (1998) (my father is not a member, so I had to wait). Around October/November ’22 I was reading at my home in Melbourne when a sudden overwhelming prompting came over me. I heard and felt in my head “Prepare to leave. Start getting your paperwork in order, start cutting ties, and clearing things out. You are being sent somewhere!” So overwhelmingly strong was the prompting, that I felt I’d burst if I didn’t instantly begin. So, I instantly started to apply for paperwork so I could get my passport. This was instantly accompanied by a burst of spiritual energy that confirmed I was on the right track, began changing, and preparing me with strength and faith to press forward. I definitely needed that energy as I faced multiple trials. Not least of which was I had no clue where or when I was going. How do you prepare when you can’t answer When, where, why or how? I applied for my UK passport assuming I would be sent back to Britain, and applied for a basic American visa (what’s called an ESTA that gives 90 days) just to “cover my bases” as I doubted, I’d be sent there. I also began googling dates, places and flights over and over again. After several months of this I realised I was googling Salt Lake City 6th of October every time. After a particularly challenging day I looked at my laptop and saw a flight, and just knew it was the one, so I booked it. A wave of calm came over me. The site linked to hotels and I saw one, and knew I had to book it, so, I did. I knew now where and when, but as I looked at the plans, I thought they made no sense. I couldn’t work on the visa, it was only 90 days, I knew no one there, I had nothing there it looked doomed to fail. I thought I’ll apply for other visas, I’ll reach out and make connections, start talking to people and set things up for myself… I was instantly constrained. I heard in my head “This is a faith exercise. If you know it will succeed before you go, then where’s the faith? Just trust!” I also asked at this time “why am I going, and what will I experience?” For the first question, I was told “The sun is about to set, and I need you there to help when the darkness comes.” And to my second I was told “Death, darkness and pain.” I quit my job, gave everything I owned away and got on the plane with just a suitcase of clothes and a little carry on, on the 6th of October '23. This was the beginning of my journey. It has been filled with ever increasing challenges, trials, fear, faith, light and revelation. Most of my old life has been striped away from me, and I am being led on through greater changes. I cannot see the path ahead of me, but everything is telling me we are on a precipice. There is such an urgency I feel. I have to share. Prepare now! (Sorry for the length)
I am glad I came back to this video to rewatch it bc it is so excellent! But I saw your comment and I have just been going through kind of similar experience. I am 70 yrs old and my husband passed away a year and 1/2 ago. Recently, all of a sudden , I feel compelled to get rid of everything in my home that I do not need, maybe keep enough for a one-bedroom apartment- I live in a house now, but I do not know why I just keep getting promptings and thoughts of what to get rid or what to do with things. For instance,I have maybe 50 framed photos of family around my house that I had displayed for many years and felt prompted to take them all out of the frames and put into an album to give to my daughter. I do not think I am going to pass away yet. I think maybe I am going to go on a full-time mission or something is going to happen that I will have to move quickly. I don't know but I am just going on faith and know the Lord will "guide me as he has in the past"
In 1990 Elder Nelson gave a talk on distinguishing between the latter days and the last days. He said we were living in the latter days which is why we are called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints…well, Last General Conference he said we are in THE LAST DAYS! I sure hope so! A sister working in the Salt Lake temple, before it was closed down, was in the sealing office. President Nelson walked by then he turned around and came back into the room and walked up to her, looked her in the eye and said, "the Savior is coming sooner than you think." Then he turned and walked out. She immediately wrote it down, took a pic of her note then sent it to her kids. Her son told this story to my MIL's stake conference and showed the pic. I love this story. I feel it is near in my very core. I know I'm not ready but I can't wait!
husband and i have been sick for some time with things we cant even go to church with, and we feel badly about it but i believe and trust in the Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ. i do remind myself that God's years are different than what we have as a year. i think that we all feel its close because of how our world changed suddenly and quite fast as i was saying on another site, 9/11 changed things, then, covid changed things...it changed people as well..and not for the good....
The Lord's timing is not the same as ours. Our duty is to prepare as we have been instructed to do and follow our true prophet. The only true and living prophet on the warth today!!😊all the best for all.jj
I am 78. At age 4, I saw an angel. I was in a cubby place and I saw a female with long black hair with her arms outstretched but her face turned from me and pass by me and thru the wall of the small cubby place. Her white cloving covered her arms and body so I could not see skin colour. There was no gravity as her hair was along her back. I knew then that angels don't have wings. As a wise child I kept it to myself until just before I turned 18, when I heard about the church that my telling my parents of that incident gave me permission to join the church 2 weeks shy of my 18th birthday. And 2 missionaries had helped my dad lay bricks for our new house and had given him a Book of Mormon which he read. My dad was reading dictionaries at age 7. My dad also as a child in a cot had seen an angel. Another thing that happened at age 4 was when with my younger sister i looked at the helicopters in the sky and said to my sister 'I don't know how I got in this family but I know I am from a Royal House'. A year after I joined the church I had my patriarchal blessing and I was from the Tribe of Judah. I just knew I was from a royal house from age 4. My eldest grandson is also from the Tribe of Judah and did his mission in Germany where my people came from but had moved to Lithuania and for safety became Lutherans. Over 50 years ago when President Kimball was an apostle he said at a conference in Melbourne Australia 'The day will come when we will send ocean liners to take you to safety, but for all who would heed the call we most as well have sent tug boats.' I also saw myself in the pre existence with a lady telling about what was to come with 2 other ladies and after we met in groups of 2 or 3 we explained about it to other women and years later a new lady moved to our ward in Melbourne and it was the one I saw in the pre-existence and she became our relief Society President. When my husband died I saw him with his parents and first wife sitting together. Each day as I knelt I saw also my dad come in dressed in his temple clothes and smile. My deceased husband came up close and said he should have tried to live longer but a voice from behind me, who I wasn't allowed to see, said to him 'She is going to be alright. This is where you are meant to be now'. As a child of about 10 walking home from school a voice called out to me 'Julie look down' I looked and I was about to step on a deadly tiger snake. I was half a mile from home. I knew it was my mother's mother who had called out to me. They wanted their work done and only I would be able to do it. And oh the rejoicing in the temple when that came true for them.
I'm pretty sure it'll be in our lifetime ;) there's people I know who have mentioned that its been revealed to them that they'll be here when the savior comes. So imo,I'd give about 10~20 years...I'd say latest 30 years
interesting story ,we see how the lord works in preserving our lives, and bring joy into it. even the lord in my patriarchal stated to me that the dead my ancestors will help me to seek out there recorders. and I look forward to that day that I begin this work.
I would say that it's already been generations. They've been telling us we're an important generation since the late 60's. The majority of the people from then until now are still alive. I have no doubt it's in our lifetime and happening SOON! I feel it in my bones. Thanks for a great video!
My mother graduated from high school in 1945 and she told me that she and her generation was told the exact same thing--they had been prepared and sent to earth as the best generation ever (thus far at that time). I don't know about previous generations. But I think it interesting that each generation is told they are the best, and each just keeps getting better!

If each generation is progressively better than the previous generation (which they should be if they're standing on the shoulders of the previous) then that is the best generation. Parker...THANK YOU...for reminding me of the Lord's perfect love and HIS excitement over the Second Coming. Since our conversion in 1971, my husband and I have thrilled at our knowledge that He will come to rule and reign on this earth...and soon after my husband's baptism, our patriarch told him he was young enough to witness His return in the flesh. My husband died in 2017, but we had known for decades that it didn't matter which side of the veil we were on at that day...what mattered was our readiness. I've seriously and intensely gathered names and gone to the temple at every opportunity (and encouraged others to bless their own lives by doing the same). I dearly want to have a record of the very work that will prove our lives have not been a waste and that the earth fulfilled its purpose as well. It's glorious!!
The Jews rejected the Christ when he came because he didn’t match their “expectations”. Similarly, many of us won’t be prepared to meet Christ when he comes again because we’re “expecting” or “waiting” for a magnificent warning to sound before we take bigger actions.
I so agree! We are all individually responsible for our salvation. The Lord has warned and forewarned for years. We have to watch and prepare for His coming. I hope to be prepared for His coming. If I should die before He comes I want to be prepared to meet Him in paradise.

Excellent presentation! I did this exercise with President Nelson's talks and came out of it thinking "President Nelson is Moses, we are the people of Israel, and the temples are Mt Sinai. We are being invited to sanctify ourselves and meet the Lord on His mount." The urgency is almost palpable. I recently gave a talk in sacrament meeting and felt a little trepidation implying that it's time to become a people that can welcome the Lord at His second coming, but the reality is that it's not my message, it's the Lord's, as we can easily see in the words of His prophet today. Thank you for making this video, because it gave me some ideas as to how I can raise my voice to warn and invite.
Excellent video! Would share an experience that occurred just a few years ago, some years before covid. Our Stake conducted an "emergency situation" for one week in which all members were asked to take stock of their provisions and preparations for difficult times. About a month after this "emergency week," I was sitting with the Stake President in our bishop's office waiting for a meeting to begin and I asked him about this week, specifically what the Stake intended to do with the information reported about the preparations of its members. His answer kind of stunned me. He said, "Nothing." By the look on my face, he knew I expected no such answer. I then asked him why and he said the membership has been counseled for decades to get their lives in order and this was a wake-up-call for those members paying attention. It woke me up and I've been working on it ever since. For those who think their preparation has been a waste of time and effort because nothing ever happened during their lifetime, the Lord has ever counseled His saints to be prepared and ready. Whether disaster strikes or does not, has nothing to do with following His counsel.
After I was baptized when I was 16 I had many experiences with the Spirit at that time. It was one of the closest I have ever been to living the law of charity and the heavens opened…one impression I had then was that when I was around the age of 65 there would be great turmoil and the 2nd coming would be near….I’m now 56 and I feel time is nearing faster and faster. Even if you have wasted your time and not prepared, prepare now and going forward. It is not too late.
You still have 14 years before the real Jesus the Christ comes , but before he comes the Antichrist will come and great shell be the sufferings of man kind.
I had been reading D&C 109 in the temple but the verse you shared didn’t hit me until you repeated it and after a dream I had. “that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens,…That when the trump shall sound for the dead, we shall be caught up in the cloud to meet thee, that we may ever be with the Lord." I had a dream a few nights ago that the heavens literally opened and people were being lifted in the sky. It struck me and I woke up with so much peace but now reading scripture that 100% supports what I dreamed I feel even more sure that it wasn’t a random dream. God has been nudging my heart as he has yours for quite some time now. There are no coincidences!

@@health4lifecooking No, we can't. Living peaceably upon the earth is clearly a terrestrial function, not a telestial one. Many of us do, but a sizable majority does not. This level of peace will not exist until the telestial element is removed.

What was Jesus doing during those 40 days after His resurrection with his disciples. Must have been pretty important for Him to remain so long but there is no definitive record of what He was doing. Why? What about books mentioned in the NT for which there is no source? Must have been important to the gospel writers or else why mention them. The NT mentions Enoch, but very little is known about him or his ministry - why? So, to argue that unless it appears in a compilation of scripture that appeared as the official canon (speaking of the NT) some 3 hundred years after many of the events were recorded is weak at best. The word "telestial" is likely of some ancientry but useful in describing the third degree of glory mentioned in Corinthians 15. As for the "storyteller" comment, just another cheap shot from someone who likely hasn't read a thing written by said storyteller.
@@anthonyjames4478 There's no 3rd degree in 1 Cor. 15 unless you add to scripture. Jn. 14:1:3 says we will be with JESUS in HIS FATHERS's house following the Rapture.
Whether the second coming is close, in our lifetime or not, we should always be urgent in learning and living the gospel in it's fullness, AND teaching our neighbor to do so too. It takes time to help the world prepare for His second coming.
when my father passed away. i was not able to see him before that. my mother had already started having alzheimers and wouldnt let anyone come over. we didnt know that. but i felt awful that i hadnt seen him before he passed away....one night after he had died....i had a dream and in that dream, i went to a place that was a hall a great hall and there were doors on either side of the hall that would just flap open ..real easily. i was looking for my father. then i saw these sort of shadows passing by me fast and then my father appeared in front of me but he wasnt old he was younger and i knew him because of the pictures we had. i acknoweldged to him that i knew him and he said to me...yes vickie i love you, and i cant talk right now because im busy ..then he dissapeared...along with the others going in and out of these doors. then later i read an article where one of our prophets i think had a dream like that and when he went into this hall he was met by another prophet who told him that the people there were preparing for the second coming and it was a busy time. i was amazed when i read that. it felt like my dream was right and it was okay and that my father was helping doing what all the others were. we did the work for my father and my mother when they both passed. and then my brother as well who was against the church, but i knew he accepted it when his work was done. i have had many experiences in the church i could write about but havent. maybe i will. Excellent video! President Nelson did say something very significant in his most recent talk! He has always referred to our days as the 'latter days'. In his talk in 1990 about the correct name of the Church, he specifically states that the latter days are different than the last days. In all of his talks, he has only called our time the 'latter days'. However, in this most recent conference he said, "the temple spiritually empowers you and me to meet the challenges of life in these last days." Chills ran through my body when he said that. He has never used those words before. (When he has used 'last days' in his talks, he has been quoting scripture.) I also think it is very significant that he has the triumphal entry painting right behind his desk (which Elder Gong told us in April 2020 conference is the original). That painting is included in a portrait of him. Every portrait photographer knows it is not good design to put paintings in the backgrounds of portraits. It seems to be a very intentional message for all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Me too! I had been attending the temple weekly, for years . .but last year I felt prompted to go at least twice weekly. And there really is a very special feeling and spirit in the temples now! ❤️ It's a feeling of anticipation and urgency..

HAVE FAITH, KEEP HOPE and to attend Church weekly as a Convert 36 yrs. 🙏🏽😊🙏🏽 Having most of our immediate family leave 😢 the church, has been difficult, MADE ME STRING. Hubby use to go often, not as active. Even after baptizing me 1987.. I’ve been up & down with my scripture reading last 6 - 1 yr.. I finally asked Heaven Father if I BUCKLE DOWN Read Scriptures, keep on MOVING FWD, attend the TEMPLE OFTEN (retired), Will You PLEASE Show MORE OF YOUR PRESENCE TO ME 🙏🏽👋♥️😊 The last month I’ve felt the SPIRIT MORE in Temple than the last 36 yrs.. ❤👍🙏🏽 Im grateful for my challenges. It’s made me 100% Stronger 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I have been pondering these very things over the past several months. I agree with you 100%. I have been serving in the Bountiful Temple and will also be serving in the new Layton Temple. Temples are being built for a purpose, so that more and more people Are prepared on both sides of the veil. The work is hastening for a reason.
At the beginning you talk about President Nelson saying we have an urgent work to do in the latter part of the latter days. In this last conference, he said in his talk that these were the LAST days. This is significant because he differentiated between "latter" and "last" in a talk (1990-A:16, Russell M. Nelson, “Thus Shall My Church Be Called”). He said, "The term latter-day is an expression especially difficult for translators who labor in languages in which there is not a good equivalent term. Some translations may suggest last day... But its last days must be preceded by its latter days! We live in those latter days, and they are really remarkable." That was in 1990. In April 2024 conference he said, "Joseph Smith’s dedicatory prayer of the Kirtland Temple is a tutorial about how the temple spiritually empowers you and me to meet the challenges of life in these LAST days." (emphasis mine) This is also the only time I can find in the Scripture Citation Index that he has used that phrase when he wasn't quoting scripture (although, he may have used it in comments or addresses that are not included in the Scripture Citation Index).
Jesus is the sun of man, not the son of man. And it is in an evolution period. No Jesus is coming. Only in clouds of radiation, that is pouring through the entire solar system right now. Evolution people!
The overwhelming impression I had from the first of President Nelson's pronouncement as president was a sense of urgency. This has never faded. Even when he was introducing the Home Study programme he said it was against the day when we might not be able to get to Church. What happened soon after? The pandemic, that's what. That sense of urgency is still with me and I thank him for it. Whatever time scale we use, the Second Coming is CLOSE!
This is great! Thank you for putting this together. It is my favourite topic, grew up non religious in Eastern Europe, but had a dream of Christ's return when I was about 11. Imagine my surprise when I saw a similar painting in our church years later after the missionaries knocked on our door and I joined. I can also say that I have listened to Pres Nelson's every single GC talk he's ever given multiple times. I would highly recommend it for anyone who truly wants to know whether he's a prophet called by God. It's so interesting, crazy and sad to see who has eyes to see and perhaps heart to feel. So many are still sleeping. Restoration, repentance, and becoming a disciple of Christ is a process. Similarly, the second coming is one, too. I definitely want to be wide awake from the very beginning. He is definitely coming back and real soon. It's exciting. Please keep these videos coming.

Loved this! I would perhaps change the phrase from “The rain is coming” to “ The REIGN is coming” because the prophets seem more focused on the glorious future than all the destruction that will happen beforehand. The focus is Christ-in all things. The future is indeed bright!

I have mixed feelings about all of this. Because I'm young and I'm supposed to pass away before he comes . I don't want to be without my husband and kids for a second. And my 30 year old son married into a family that hates us and God. He left the church l don't have to much of a relationship with him, he's an alcoholic and l truly worry about his salvation! I need miracles for him. But it's not on my time it's God's time!
When the big earthquake hits the Wasatch Front all the way to California to Canada the Salt Lake Temple will Shake but not fall during a major plague . The banks and the stock market has not Fallen yet and we still have a government. The Jews are not building the Temple yet we haven't even had a tidal wave that hit the Gulf of Mexico or the East Coast or the West Coast in America. So it may be still 20/30 years down the road but who knows exactly. We need to stay tuned to our prophet and the 12 inspired man. We haven't even been invaded yet. The Lord will come more several times before the last and Dreadful day. The Lord will show himself to the chosen only. The Lord will come again together his people with the Holy Angels in the cloud. It will get kind of rough for people❤
The warnings are in front of us. The real question is if we're going to get caught up in the warning or if we're going to apply ourselves to the actions associated with those warnings. We have a great work to do. It's time to open our mouths and share the gospel.
He won't come right out and tell us step by step if the Lord's second coming. If he did, to many would be lazy and not prepare but depend on him rather than build their spirituality and learn to depend on personal revelation. Great video!
I read this verse the other day and it hit me so hard... Jarom 1:11 "Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers, did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence; teaching the law of Moses, and the intent for which it was given; persuading them to look forward unto the Messiah, and believe in him to come as though he already was." We are supposed to live our lives as though He has already come, don't you think our lives would look much different if Christ was ruling on the earth today?
Soon after I returned from a mission, I went to a fireside at the BYU Marriott center. One of the first presidency was speaking. In his closing remarks (When most everyone else was not paying attention), he said, "The rising generation will be the ones to greet the Savior. Even some of YOU will see that day. " The rising generation would be our children and grandchildren. I am now in my early 60s.

I also remember sneaking into one of the leadership conferences just like that where it was like the last thing said was just for me, though what was said was more round about than straight to the point. I wish I had written it down, all I remember is it had something to do with the law of consecration.

You are an amazing young man, I have said for the entire 30 years of my membership in His restored church, I have said the young people in this church will save this world, our Savior, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ will lead this army of the most remarkable people. His spirit is with them always, as they do the work required for his second coming.
As Russel M Nelson said "But in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost" it should honestly be enough just to say that if we can't feel the spirit while doing something, then we should unquestionably not be doing it. In the bible when Gods presence departs from Jesus on the cross; Jesus himself is scared and said "Oh God, why hast forsaken me." I think it's clear to see that having the spirit with us in everything we do is an , important thing to have.
Its amazing what happened. I had some personal revaluations the last couple of weeks about the second coming after my prayers and the last couple of days I ask my heavenly father when our savior would come. And now he directed me to this video and showed me to prepare as would it be in this life. I am absolutely sure that through the holy ghost Christ has give me these instructions. I've been told in my Patriachal Blessing at 26 I'd be preserved to be raised during the morning of the first resurrection during a period where I was depressive. Man, the tears of joy I had. Also this sounds like I'm going to be taken to the other side for preparation work for the Millennium! We really are in the end of the end times!!
Joseph Smith said that when Jesus said no man knoweth the day or the hour, he meant those of that generation. He reminded us of the scripture that says that jesus won't do anything without telling his apostles first. President Nelson knows at least the year it will happen. I feel its within 5 years.
After a couple is betrothed, they separate for a year, so the bridegroom can build a house for his bride. The father of the bridegroom is responsible for managing all of the arrangements. No one knows the hour because the father is the one who decides whether the house and son are ready to receive the bride honorably.

I sadly did not know of the condition of this nation until I heard the talk of a DEA agent the other day and my heart broke for her and how much evil has undermined this beautiful country. I actually cried. Be ready as the Prophet warns. We know not the hearts of men, but he foresees and warns. We must be steady and strong and follow the words of the Prophet in all things. In the April 2024 General Conference another GA besides President Nelson said something that really struck me, he said: "This is the last dispensation of the fullness of times, the only dispensation that will not end in world apostacy, there may be personal apostacy, but it will end in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." Think of that!

Parker, I didn’t know you were doing videos still, and I am so excited! Your message about president Nelson helped me realize that whether Jesus comes again during our lifetime or not, the importance for all of us to prepare diligently for His coming is the same. Because whether we are alive or dead when He comes again, the consequences for our choices will be the same. “This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God.” It is imperative that we use our time wisely to repent, and make/keep covenants with God as you echoed. Thank you for doing the work to study President Nelson’s messages and sharing what you learned. I will do the same.
1. Your first point. When the faithful Nephites were waiting before the lord was born for the promised sign of his coming, they were set to be killed if it didn't happen. And he did reveal it to his servants the prophets, "On this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world." Joseph smith when asked if the lord would reveal when he comes despite no one knowing the time or the day said that if that were the case the scriptures would contradict themselves because the lord will do nothing save he reveal it first unto his servants the prophets. However that doesn't say how much warning we will be given. In third Nephi it was the night before that the prophet was told the sign would be fulfilled. Sooooo sure the current prophet may be told when the 2nd coming will take place.... the night before it happens. Tell that time we need to rely on the signs we've been told to watch for. It's only ever been after a trial of faith that we receive blessings. 2. About your 3rd point the quote that we are blessed with the ability to leave the world behind to assist in the work. I'm a rather imaginative person. Grew up loving all things fantasy based and role play based. I took a lot of art classes in school and have a pretty good grasp on how to visualize things. A few months back I started watching a youtube video that popped up in my suggestions about the eclipses and it being a sign. I watched that because ive always been interested in the signs of the second coming. After watching it I got to pondering how awesome it would be when the savior comes, and embarrassingly I had a thought about one of the many distractions I have taken part in that was akin to "Well if that happens, guess I wont be able to do that again in the millennium." I was basically putting a distraction and thing of the world before god and his kingdom. But I didn't stop there, my imagination got to thinking about what it would be like to stand before the savior at his second coming, perhaps i was trying to bury the previous thought with a more amazing event. I pictured images in my mind of paintings of the savior coming in glory and even myself standing before him close enough to give him a handshake. And I could not look him in the eye. It was like a child who knows they have done wrong and they are standing before their parents and will try to look around at anything, the floor, the side, anything, except the eyes of the person in front of them. I have since cut out all the distractions I can think of, or you might even think of them as the adversaries deceptions trying to get us to see evil as good. TV, Video games, Books, Radio, Most youtube videos (I still watch educational ones and spiritual ones, like this and conference talks), etc. I'm trying to get back to principles I followed on my mission of avoiding anything that can distract me from the spirit. Perhaps some are better at not being distracted and don't need to go that far, we are counseled to seek after all good things. And there are good things out there. But many of those good things are laced with not so good things. So for now I'm avoiding what distracts me. You know how there are many times were you could be having idle thoughts and many times those idle thoughts get filled with some random song you cant get out of your head or maybe a movie you have seen or a TV show that made you laugh? What if your mind more easily was filled with things of god, church hymns and other spiritually uplifting things, conference talks, scripture? I've found since I cut out many of the distractions of the world it has been MUCH easier to avoid sin and temptation and im beginning to see what its like to look with an eye "SINGLE" to the glory of god. Many of the conference talks I've watched say to look with an eye single to the glory of god. How many of us have brushed this or other council off as if we are doing "good enough". How many of us like me will find they won't be able to look to Christ with an eye single to his glory when he comes, because of our own shame? I wasn't temple worthy when the above happened, but now I am and I'm now trying to follow the prophets council to attend the temple with all my new found time I have on my hands since im not filling it with frivolous distractions. 3. Another interesting thing that's happened to me is I'm pretty much working poor when looking at the average persons income and we have been short handed at work. Because of that I have been working overtime because its needed, and despite needing to work overtime it's felt more like a blessing then a thing robbing me of my time. That extra cash flow income I've been putting into emergency preparedness, a strong 72hr - week grab and go kit and food supply and portable water filters.
Hi - I read your comment and saw that you mentioned eclipses and having an interest in them. I’d like to suggest a book holding much insight into the wonders of the stars and sky. It’s from a Biblical perspective and the insight in it is truly incredible. Everything in creation actually points back to the creator and this book really showcases this specifically amongst the wonders in the sky. It’s called The Witness of the Stars by E.W. Bullinger. Felt like the first eclipse in 2017 was the beginning of the 7 years of plenty and the last eclipse marked the end of that. In any case, I was under my house fixing something and was scooting by my food storage. Several years ago I felt an urgency to get it all in order and did so. As I scooted by I noted the date I did all that.......2017! I felt blessed to have the sprit guide me to begin preparing right when the 7 years of plenty began. Good feeling to have it all set and ready.

As the world becomes more wicked (as prophesied) the tendency to panic and beat and shout these truths to all who will hear, unfortunately will be received with anger and resentment. President Nelson builds bridges, not animosity. So as I listen to these warnings I realize his counsel to teach and share with peace and to think Celestial is always the best way…. It’s Christ’s way… and we also must continually work out our own salvation through continued sanctification by continually keeping our covenants.

Thank you so much for doing your part parker. I have felt a strong urgency for the last couple of years to prepare as much as i can temporarily but much more importantly to be prepared spiritually. The Lord has worked many miracles in my life since then and I know there is so much more to come.

I loved Elder Holland’s talk in the April 2024 Conference. I ‘felt’ the ‘Urgency’ he was referring to. So did my family and friends. It has probably already been said but because it’s important to people thinking that they are fine for a couple more years: The Salt Lake Temple will be earthquake safe likely within the next couple of months. I have from the man in charge of that part of the project that the final four base isolators, the final major structural portion of making it earthquake-safe, began in April and should be done by “late spring.” So important for our spiritual foundations to be secure NOW! So important to be fully consecrated to the Lord and overcome/forsake this telestial before it falls apart, whenever that might be.

We have felt this is coming for years and have worked toward that also but you reach a much younger audience and thank you for doing this. The workd seem obsessed with fun and I do not want them to be caught unawares. The New Era just had an article about preparing the youth to meet the Savior a month or two ago. The church has been building temples in preparation for the large influx of people that will come to the church in all lands. What an amazing time in which we live if we are a prepared people.
The reason that each generation is commanded to prepare, is that, as a body of the Church, we purify ourselves to another level of perfection and faith. The children today are WAAAAY more prepared and focused on the temple and perfection and gathering Israel, than my generation was EVER prepared for. I have witnessed the acceleration that really began in a serious fashion in the 80's...I find great inspiration from the Primary children yo do better and be better. It's magnificent to witness this transformation.

When the Kirtland temple came back into the ownership of the church, I had a thought that we should look at the dedicatory prayer to see if it had any particular messages for our day. Section 109 was given to the Prophet Joseph Smith by revelation. It's likely that it was given for that day - but ALSO given for our day (prophesies often have multiple fulfillments). Having the Kirtland temple back would bring it back into focus in the church. So, it was very interesting to me that President Nelson pointed us to that Section and asked us to study it. I don't think it's a coincidence at all that a major portion of it relates to the Second Coming.
we just need to stay close to the Lord. WE need to pray unceasingly. Talk to the Lord in times that you need Him and in times you dont think you need Him. I have seen the Hand of the Lord many times in my life. God bless you all.
I was prompted by the Lord to study all of President Nelson's talks and make notes of his salient points. I put it off but your video has given me the push I need. I will finish it this month. Thank you for this video!!!
(Apologies for the somewhat of an essay, I really felt the need to share this after watching your video.) It's almost 3 in the morning at time of writing, but watching your video was absolutely worth it. I've actually been keeping a digital note for a while now with quotes and different thoughts regarding the nearness of us to the Second Coming, and your video adds a few extra things I'll make note of later. I'd also like to add one more source: The first talk from last conference, from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. I remember distinctly the feeling of hearing that talk from last conference for the first time (I've actually read it a number of times now because of how important I feel it is), and I hope I can convey that just a little bit here: First, and there's no way to put this simply: Jeffrey R. Holland returned from the "edge of eternity" - which I interpret to mean beyond the grave, or at least the veil - with "an admonition to return to my ministry with more urgency, more consecration, more focus on the Savior, more faith in His word". This is the acting President of the 12 we're talking about here, and he comes back feeling like he needs to be more consecrated, faithful, and urgent with his works? Additionally, he noted that he has tried to "raise an apostolic voice of both warmth and warning" much more since then - the contrast between the two, and yet also the importance of both, should be noted by all of us. Finally, remember what he speaks right near the end: That Christ needs to recognize us as faithful members. Again, President Holland refers to it as "an urgent matter", lest we hear "“I never knew you" or "You never knew me". We see that the acting president of the 12 here has spoken of both urgency on his part and ours. If he felt the need to become more consecrated, faithful, and urgent with this work - and then tells us our need to be faithful is much the same - I'm not sure how much clearer anyone can make it. I'm not sure if the Second Coming will be in 5 or 50 years, but I do know we need to prepare - the time is now, brothers and sisters.
I love the original wording in what he SAID in conference compared to what is written in the official report. I'm sure they changed it because what he said was a little linguistically awkward. But what he SAID was, "I bear witness of the reality of eternal life and the need for us to be serious in our planning for it. That "serious" needs to exist when Christ comes, because He needs to recognize us. Not as nominal members listed on a faded baptismal record, but as thoroughly committed, faithfully believing, covenant keeping disciples. This is an urgent matter." What he said (to my ears) implies that the Savior will return BEFORE most of us reach eternal life. (And, in fact, His return is so near that we need to be urgent in that preparation).
Daniel 7-11 give a remarkable time line that I for one cannot ignore, the time is short. Father's who Love their children Want them to know and be prepared!
Fifty years would be considered almost 2 generations. If so the time is NOT now, I'm 65, and will have already met my Savior. Look for something MUCH sooner...it's coming, I so testify...
Beautifully put. I was struck by his talk too. I have been making concerted efforts to deepen my devotion time, pray out loud (that is so hard for me when I am alone - but I have already had 3 answers for me personally as to why I need to pray aloud) including to listening to a session of conference every day {I put it on as I am going to sleep and let it play for one session - I know it sounds kind of silly but why can't my spirit pick up on what is being said and unsaid in these talks - I have definitely felt a difference doing this between last October 2023 and April 2024. I still listen every night}
Amen! Thanks for sharing this and bringing all these quotes together in one place. It becomes STRIKINGLY clear that He is coming back… soon. How soon we don’t know, but like you say, so what if He does not even come in our lifetime? Then we will die at some point and meet Him then. Either way we need to prepare! (I truly believe he is coming within the next 10 years, though)

I am weighing in after the 333rd comment. In Strongs Concordance 333 = Observe carefully, or "To survey a series of things from the lowest to the highest, To look along up or through, To look at attentively, To observe accurately, and To consider well." Very appropriate as we consider every type of preparation. I know President Nelson is a Prophet of God. I'm looking forward to Christ's return.
President Nelson said there is a reason why Millennials (my generation) are called Millennials 😀❤. Im shooked and I am thinking He ain't delaying at all.
Those who die in righteousness will be raised up to meet Him when He comes. So regardless of timing, each generation IS preparing for the second coming. Those who did prepare will be there. Those who did not will have to wait.
I recently got off my mission, but when I was on my mission, I had a dream that was very vivid regarding the end of days. To me it was from God because in my dream I felt the spirit so immensely strong.
In the dream I saw all of the LDS members of this generation, and I instantly understood (I don’t know how) that we were the strongest of Gods children. After that, I saw the world grow in turmoil until finally the economy and other necessities in America completely fell apart. In my dream it was instant. We all thought life was good, but then the next day everything came crashing down. Lastly at the end of my dream, I saw a temple sealing. The Spirit told me strongly that it was vital to be sealed. Since this time, I got married shortly after my mission to the most spiritual person I have ever met. And she and I plan on being sealed in this coming month.
Ultimately, I really think the 2nd coming is soon. And I mean REAL soon. Not in 10 years. Less. Pray, go to the temple, and ask God to teach you for yourself. I have a testimony that you can receive revelations about the end days if you have the faith to. God bless y’all!

Please pray for me. I used to be a member of the church, but due to abuse and spiritual attacks, I left. I still believe the church is true, but have found it challenging to return- like a tidal wave cascading towards me and continually pushing me away and knocking me down. My faith has dwindled in Jesus Christ and in God, but I have known their mercies and seen miracles in my life. I still know this is the Church of Jesus Christ, but I feel so lost. Please pray that God will have mercy upon me, despite my mistakes. 🙏🏽 God bless you all and thank you for this important video, especially in these last days.

I'm experiencing something similar. Know you are not alone, and it is through the small and simple that great things are brought to past. Reflect on small and simple changes you can make, and take it one step at a time :) We've got this!

I’d like to share my story if that's okay.
I am a Welshman, though I have lived the majority of my life in Australia now. I have been a member since I was baptised at 18 (1998) (my father is not a member, so I had to wait).
Around October/November ’22 I was reading at my home in Melbourne when a sudden overwhelming prompting came over me.
I heard and felt in my head “Prepare to leave. Start getting your paperwork in order, start cutting ties, and clearing things out. You are being sent somewhere!”
So overwhelmingly strong was the prompting, that I felt I’d burst if I didn’t instantly begin. So, I instantly started to apply for paperwork so I could get my passport.
This was instantly accompanied by a burst of spiritual energy that confirmed I was on the right track, began changing, and preparing me with strength and faith to press forward. I definitely needed that energy as I faced multiple trials. Not least of which was I had no clue where or when I was going. How do you prepare when you can’t answer When, where, why or how?
I applied for my UK passport assuming I would be sent back to Britain, and applied for a basic American visa (what’s called an ESTA that gives 90 days) just to “cover my bases” as I doubted, I’d be sent there. I also began googling dates, places and flights over and over again.
After several months of this I realised I was googling Salt Lake City 6th of October every time. After a particularly challenging day I looked at my laptop and saw a flight, and just knew it was the one, so I booked it. A wave of calm came over me. The site linked to hotels and I saw one, and knew I had to book it, so, I did.
I knew now where and when, but as I looked at the plans, I thought they made no sense. I couldn’t work on the visa, it was only 90 days, I knew no one there, I had nothing there it looked doomed to fail.
I thought I’ll apply for other visas, I’ll reach out and make connections, start talking to people and set things up for myself…
I was instantly constrained. I heard in my head “This is a faith exercise. If you know it will succeed before you go, then where’s the faith? Just trust!”
I also asked at this time “why am I going, and what will I experience?”
For the first question, I was told “The sun is about to set, and I need you there to help when the darkness comes.” And to my second I was told “Death, darkness and pain.”
I quit my job, gave everything I owned away and got on the plane with just a suitcase of clothes and a little carry on, on the 6th of October '23.
This was the beginning of my journey. It has been filled with ever increasing challenges, trials, fear, faith, light and revelation. Most of my old life has been striped away from me, and I am being led on through greater changes. I cannot see the path ahead of me, but everything is telling me we are on a precipice. There is such an urgency I feel. I have to share. Prepare now!

I am glad I came back to this video to rewatch it bc it is so excellent! But I saw your comment and I have just been going through kind of similar experience. I am 70 yrs old and my husband passed away a year and 1/2 ago. Recently, all of a sudden , I feel compelled to get rid of everything in my home that I do not need, maybe keep enough for a one-bedroom apartment- I live in a house now, but I do not know why I just keep getting promptings and thoughts of what to get rid or what to do with things. For instance,I have maybe 50 framed photos of family around my house that I had displayed for many years and felt prompted to take them all out of the frames and put into an album to give to my daughter. I do not think I am going to pass away yet. I think maybe I am going to go on a full-time mission or something is going to happen that I will have to move quickly. I don't know but I am just going on faith and know the Lord will "guide me as he has in the past"

In 1990 Elder Nelson gave a talk on distinguishing between the latter days and the last days. He said we were living in the latter days which is why we are called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints…well, Last General Conference he said we are in THE LAST DAYS! I sure hope so! A sister working in the Salt Lake temple, before it was closed down, was in the sealing office. President Nelson walked by then he turned around and came back into the room and walked up to her, looked her in the eye and said, "the Savior is coming sooner than you think." Then he turned and walked out. She immediately wrote it down, took a pic of her note then sent it to her kids. Her son told this story to my MIL's stake conference and showed the pic. I love this story. I feel it is near in my very core. I know I'm not ready but I can't wait!
husband and i have been sick for some time with things we cant even go to church with, and we feel badly about it but i believe and trust in the Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ. i do remind myself that God's years are different than what we have as a year. i think that we all feel its close because of how our world changed suddenly and quite fast as i was saying on another site, 9/11 changed things, then, covid changed things...it changed people as well..and not for the good....

I am 78. At age 4, I saw an angel. I was in a cubby place and I saw a female with long black hair with her arms outstretched but her face turned from me and pass by me and thru the wall of the small cubby place. Her white cloving covered her arms and body so I could not see skin colour. There was no gravity as her hair was along her back. I knew then that angels don't have wings. As a wise child I kept it to myself until just before I turned 18, when I heard about the church that my telling my parents of that incident gave me permission to join the church 2 weeks shy of my 18th birthday. And 2 missionaries had helped my dad lay bricks for our new house and had given him a Book of Mormon which he read. My dad was reading dictionaries at age 7. My dad also as a child in a cot had seen an angel. Another thing that happened at age 4 was when with my younger sister i looked at the helicopters in the sky and said to my sister 'I don't know how I got in this family but I know I am from a Royal House'. A year after I joined the church I had my patriarchal blessing and I was from the Tribe of Judah. I just knew I was from a royal house from age 4. My eldest grandson is also from the Tribe of Judah and did his mission in Germany where my people came from but had moved to Lithuania and for safety became Lutherans. Over 50 years ago when President Kimball was an apostle he said at a conference in Melbourne Australia 'The day will come when we will send ocean liners to take you to safety, but for all who would heed the call we most as well have sent tug boats.' I also saw myself in the pre existence with a lady telling about what was to come with 2 other ladies and after we met in groups of 2 or 3 we explained about it to other women and years later a new lady moved to our ward in Melbourne and it was the one I saw in the pre-existence and she became our relief Society President. When my husband died I saw him with his parents and first wife sitting together. Each day as I knelt I saw also my dad come in dressed in his temple clothes and smile. My deceased husband came up close and said he should have tried to live longer but a voice from behind me, who I wasn't allowed to see, said to him 'She is going to be alright. This is where you are meant to be now'. As a child of about 10 walking home from school a voice called out to me 'Julie look down' I looked and I was about to step on a deadly tiger snake. I was half a mile from home. I knew it was my mother's mother who had called out to me. They wanted their work done and only I would be able to do it. And oh the rejoicing in the temple when that came true for them.
I'm pretty sure it'll be in our lifetime ;) there's people I know who have mentioned that its been revealed to them that they'll be here when the savior comes. So imo,I'd give about 10~20 years...I'd say latest 30 years

I would say that it's already been generations. They've been telling us we're an important generation since the late 60's. The majority of the people from then until now are still alive. I have no doubt it's in our lifetime and happening SOON! I feel it in my bones. Thanks for a great video!
My mother graduated from high school in 1945 and she told me that she and her generation was told the exact same thing--they had been prepared and sent to earth as the best generation ever (thus far at that time). I don't know about previous generations. But I think it interesting that each generation is told they are the best, and each just keeps getting better!
My grandparents were told the same thing and they were born around World War I.

Parker...THANK YOU...for reminding me of the Lord's perfect love and HIS excitement over the Second Coming. Since our conversion in 1971, my husband and I have thrilled at our knowledge that He will come to rule and reign on this earth...and soon after my husband's baptism, our patriarch told him he was young enough to witness His return in the flesh. My husband died in 2017, but we had known for decades that it didn't matter which side of the veil we were on at that day...what mattered was our readiness. I've seriously and intensely gathered names and gone to the temple at every opportunity (and encouraged others to bless their own lives by doing the same). I dearly want to have a record of the very work that will prove our lives have not been a waste and that the earth fulfilled its purpose as well. It's glorious!!

The Jews rejected the Christ when he came because he didn’t match their “expectations”. Similarly, many of us won’t be prepared to meet Christ when he comes again because we’re “expecting” or “waiting” for a magnificent warning to sound before we take bigger actions.
I so agree! We are all individually responsible for our salvation. The Lord has warned and forewarned for years. We have to watch and prepare for His coming. I hope to be prepared for His coming. If I should die before He comes I want to be prepared to meet Him in paradise.

Excellent presentation! I did this exercise with President Nelson's talks and came out of it thinking "President Nelson is Moses, we are the people of Israel, and the temples are Mt Sinai. We are being invited to sanctify ourselves and meet the Lord on His mount." The urgency is almost palpable. I recently gave a talk in sacrament meeting and felt a little trepidation implying that it's time to become a people that can welcome the Lord at His second coming, but the reality is that it's not my message, it's the Lord's, as we can easily see in the words of His prophet today. Thank you for making this video, because it gave me some ideas as to how I can raise my voice to warn and invite.
Excellent video! Would share an experience that occurred just a few years ago, some years before covid. Our Stake conducted an "emergency situation" for one week in which all members were asked to take stock of their provisions and preparations for difficult times. About a month after this "emergency week," I was sitting with the Stake President in our bishop's office waiting for a meeting to begin and I asked him about this week, specifically what the Stake intended to do with the information reported about the preparations of its members. His answer kind of stunned me. He said, "Nothing." By the look on my face, he knew I expected no such answer. I then asked him why and he said the membership has been counseled for decades to get their lives in order and this was a wake-up-call for those members paying attention. It woke me up and I've been working on it ever since. For those who think their preparation has been a waste of time and effort because nothing ever happened during their lifetime, the Lord has ever counseled His saints to be prepared and ready. Whether disaster strikes or does not, has nothing to do with following His counsel.
After I was baptized when I was 16 I had many experiences with the Spirit at that time. It was one of the closest I have ever been to living the law of charity and the heavens opened…one impression I had then was that when I was around the age of 65 there would be great turmoil and the 2nd coming would be near….I’m now 56 and I feel time is nearing faster and faster. Even if you have wasted your time and not prepared, prepare now and going forward. It is not too late.

I had been reading D&C 109 in the temple but the verse you shared didn’t hit me until you repeated it and after a dream I had.
“that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens,…That when the trump shall sound for the dead, we shall be caught up in the cloud to meet thee, that we may ever be with the Lord."
I had a dream a few nights ago that the heavens literally opened and people were being lifted in the sky. It struck me and I woke up with so much peace but now reading scripture that 100% supports what I dreamed I feel even more sure that it wasn’t a random dream. God has been nudging my heart as he has yours for quite some time now. There are no coincidences!

What was Jesus doing during those 40 days after His resurrection with his disciples. Must have been pretty important for Him to remain so long but there is no definitive record of what He was doing. Why? What about books mentioned in the NT for which there is no source? Must have been important to the gospel writers or else why mention them. The NT mentions Enoch, but very little is known about him or his ministry - why? So, to argue that unless it appears in a compilation of scripture that appeared as the official canon (speaking of the NT) some 3 hundred years after many of the events were recorded is weak at best. The word "telestial" is likely of some ancientry but useful in describing the third degree of glory mentioned in Corinthians 15. As for the "storyteller" comment, just another cheap shot from someone who likely hasn't read a thing written by said storyteller.

Whether the second coming is close, in our lifetime or not, we should always be urgent in learning and living the gospel in it's fullness, AND teaching our neighbor to do so too. It takes time to help the world prepare for His second coming.

when my father passed away. i was not able to see him before that. my mother had already started having alzheimers and wouldnt let anyone come over. we didnt know that. but i felt awful that i hadnt seen him before he passed away....one night after he had died....i had a dream and in that dream, i went to a place that was a hall a great hall and there were doors on either side of the hall that would just flap open ..real easily. i was looking for my father. then i saw these sort of shadows passing by me fast and then my father appeared in front of me but he wasnt old he was younger and i knew him because of the pictures we had. i acknoweldged to him that i knew him and he said to me...yes vickie i love you, and i cant talk right now because im busy ..then he dissapeared...along with the others going in and out of these doors. then later i read an article where one of our prophets i think had a dream like that and when he went into this hall he was met by another prophet who told him that the people there were preparing for the second coming and it was a busy time. i was amazed when i read that. it felt like my dream was right and it was okay and that my father was helping doing what all the others were. we did the work for my father and my mother when they both passed. and then my brother as well who was against the church, but i knew he accepted it when his work was done. i have had many experiences in the church i could write about but havent. maybe i will. President Nelson did say something very significant in his most recent talk! He has always referred to our days as the 'latter days'. In his talk in 1990 about the correct name of the Church, he specifically states that the latter days are different than the last days. In all of his talks, he has only called our time the 'latter days'. However, in this most recent conference he said, "the temple spiritually empowers you and me to meet the challenges of life in these last days." Chills ran through my body when he said that. He has never used those words before. (When he has used 'last days' in his talks, he has been quoting scripture.) I also think it is very significant that he has the triumphal entry painting right behind his desk (which Elder Gong told us in April 2020 conference is the original). That painting is included in a portrait of him. Every portrait photographer knows it is not good design to put paintings in the backgrounds of portraits. It seems to be a very intentional message for all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Hubby use to go often, not as active. Even after baptizing me 1987.. I’ve been up & down with my scripture reading last 6 - 1 yr.. I finally asked Heaven Father if I BUCKLE DOWN Read Scriptures, keep on MOVING FWD, attend the TEMPLE OFTEN (retired), Will You PLEASE Show MORE OF YOUR PRESENCE TO ME 🙏🏽👋♥️😊 The last month I’ve felt the SPIRIT MORE in Temple than the last 36 yrs.. ❤👍🙏🏽 Im grateful for my challenges. It’s made me 100% Stronger 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I have been pondering these very things over the past several months. I agree with you 100%. I have been serving in the Bountiful Temple and will also be serving in the new Layton Temple. Temples are being built for a purpose, so that more and more people Are prepared on both sides of the veil. The work is hastening for a reason.
At the beginning you talk about President Nelson saying we have an urgent work to do in the latter part of the latter days. In this last conference, he said in his talk that these were the LAST days. This is significant because he differentiated between "latter" and "last" in a talk (1990-A:16, Russell M. Nelson, “Thus Shall My Church Be Called”). He said, "The term latter-day is an expression especially difficult for translators who labor in languages in which there is not a good equivalent term. Some translations may suggest last day... But its last days must be preceded by its latter days! We live in those latter days, and they are really remarkable."
That was in 1990. In April 2024 conference he said, "Joseph Smith’s dedicatory prayer of the Kirtland Temple is a tutorial about how the temple spiritually empowers you and me to meet the challenges of life in these LAST days." (emphasis mine) This is also the only time I can find in the Scripture Citation Index that he has used that phrase when he wasn't quoting scripture (although, he may have used it in comments or addresses that are not included in the Scripture Citation Index).

The overwhelming impression I had from the first of President Nelson's pronouncement as president was a sense of urgency. This has never faded. Even when he was introducing the Home Study programme he said it was against the day when we might not be able to get to Church. What happened soon after? The pandemic, that's what. That sense of urgency is still with me and I thank him for it. Whatever time scale we use, the Second Coming is CLOSE!

This is great! Thank you for putting this together. It is my favourite topic, grew up non religious in Eastern Europe, but had a dream of Christ's return when I was about 11. Imagine my surprise when I saw a similar painting in our church years later after the missionaries knocked on our door and I joined.
I can also say that I have listened to Pres Nelson's every single GC talk he's ever given multiple times. I would highly recommend it for anyone who truly wants to know whether he's a prophet called by God.
It's so interesting, crazy and sad to see who has eyes to see and perhaps heart to feel. So many are still sleeping.
Restoration, repentance, and becoming a disciple of Christ is a process. Similarly, the second coming is one, too. I definitely want to be wide awake from the very beginning.

Loved this! I would perhaps change the phrase from “The rain is coming” to “ The REIGN is coming” because the prophets seem more focused on the glorious future than all the destruction that will happen beforehand. The focus is Christ-in all things. The future is indeed bright!

I have mixed feelings about all of this. Because I'm young and I'm supposed to pass away before he comes . I don't want to be without my husband and kids for a second. And my 30 year old son married into a family that hates us and God. He left the church l don't have to much of a relationship with him, he's an alcoholic and l truly worry about his salvation! I need miracles for him. But it's not on my time it's God's time!

When the big earthquake hits the Wasatch Front all the way to California to Canada the Salt Lake Temple will Shake but not fall during a major plague . The banks and the stock market has not Fallen yet and we still have a government. The Jews are not building the Temple yet we haven't even had a tidal wave that hit the Gulf of Mexico or the East Coast or the West Coast in America. So it may be still 20/30 years down the road but who knows exactly. We need to stay tuned to our prophet and the 12 inspired man. We haven't even been invaded yet. The Lord will come more several times before the last and Dreadful day. The Lord will show himself to the chosen only. The Lord will come again together his people with the Holy Angels in the cloud. It will get kind of rough for people❤
The warnings are in front of us. The real question is if we're going to get caught up in the warning or if we're going to apply ourselves to the actions associated with those warnings. We have a great work to do. It's time to open our mouths and share the gospel.
He won't come right out and tell us step by step if the Lord's second coming. If he did, to many would be lazy and not prepare but depend on him rather than build their spirituality and learn to depend on personal revelation. Great video!

I read this verse the other day and it hit me so hard... Jarom 1:11 "Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers, did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence; teaching the law of Moses, and the intent for which it was given; persuading them to look forward unto the Messiah, and believe in him to come as though he already was." We are supposed to live our lives as though He has already come, don't you think our lives would look much different if Christ was ruling on the earth today?

Soon after I returned from a mission, I went to a fireside at the BYU Marriott center. One of the first presidency was speaking. In his closing remarks (When most everyone else was not paying attention), he said, "The rising generation will be the ones to greet the Savior. Even some of YOU will see that day. " The rising generation would be our children and grandchildren. I am now in my early 60s.

I also remember sneaking into one of the leadership conferences just like that where it was like the last thing said was just for me, though what was said was more round about than straight to the point. I wish I had written it down, all I remember is it had something to do with the law of consecration.
My patriarchal blessing says that I will witness the second coming like 3 times. And it says that I should prepare myself well.
My sister says it once. My moms says our house will be an island of safety. And mine says ill see it wrapping up.

You are an amazing young man, I have said for the entire 30 years of my membership in His restored church, I have said the young people in this church will save this world, our Savior, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ will lead this army of the most remarkable people. His spirit is with them always, as they do the work required for his second coming.
As Russel M Nelson said "But in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost" it should honestly be enough just to say that if we can't feel the spirit while doing something, then we should unquestionably not be doing it. In the bible when Gods presence departs from Jesus on the cross; Jesus himself is scared and said "Oh God, why hast forsaken me." I think it's clear to see that having the spirit with us in everything we do is an , important thing to have.

I had some personal revaluations the last couple of weeks about the second coming after my prayers and the last couple of days I ask my heavenly father when our savior would come.

I've been told in my Patriachal Blessing at 26 I'd be preserved to be raised during the morning of the first resurrection during a period where I was depressive. Man, the tears of joy I had. Also this sounds like I'm going to be taken to the other side for preparation work for the Millennium!

Joseph Smith said that when Jesus said no man knoweth the day or the hour, he meant those of that generation. He reminded us of the scripture that says that jesus won't do anything without telling his apostles first. President Nelson knows at least the year it will happen. I feel its within 5 years.
After a couple is betrothed, they separate for a year, so the bridegroom can build a house for his bride. The father of the bridegroom is responsible for managing all of the arrangements. No one knows the hour because the father is the one who decides whether the house and son are ready to receive the bride honorably.

I sadly did not know of the condition of this nation until I heard the talk of a DEA agent the other day and my heart broke for her and how much evil has undermined this beautiful country. In the April 2024 General Conference another GA besides President Nelson said something that really struck me, he said: "This is the last dispensation of the fullness of times, the only dispensation that will not end in world apostacy, there may be personal apostacy, but it will end in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." Think of that!

Parker, I didn’t know you were doing videos still, and I am so excited! Your message about president Nelson helped me realize that whether Jesus comes again during our lifetime or not, the importance for all of us to prepare diligently for His coming is the same. Because whether we are alive or dead when He comes again, the consequences for our choices will be the same. “This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God.” It is imperative that we use our time wisely to repent, and make/keep covenants with God as you echoed.

Actually let’s focus on Christ and we won’t be deceived
1. Your first point. When the faithful Nephites were waiting before the lord was born for the promised sign of his coming, they were set to be killed if it didn't happen. And he did reveal it to his servants the prophets, "On this night shall the sign be given, and on the morrow come I into the world." Joseph smith when asked if the lord would reveal when he comes despite no one knowing the time or the day said that if that were the case the scriptures would contradict themselves because the lord will do nothing save he reveal it first unto his servants the prophets. However that doesn't say how much warning we will be given. In third Nephi it was the night before that the prophet was told the sign would be fulfilled. Sooooo sure the current prophet may be told when the 2nd coming will take place.... the night before it happens. Tell that time we need to rely on the signs we've been told to watch for. It's only ever been after a trial of faith that we receive blessings.
2. About your 3rd point the quote that we are blessed with the ability to leave the world behind to assist in the work.
I'm a rather imaginative person. Grew up loving all things fantasy based and role play based. I took a lot of art classes in school and have a pretty good grasp on how to visualize things. A few months back I started watching a youtube video that popped up in my suggestions about the eclipses and it being a sign. I watched that because ive always been interested in the signs of the second coming.
After watching it I got to pondering how awesome it would be when the savior comes, and embarrassingly I had a thought about one of the many distractions I have taken part in that was akin to "Well if that happens, guess I wont be able to do that again in the millennium." I was basically putting a distraction and thing of the world before god and his kingdom. But I didn't stop there, my imagination got to thinking about what it would be like to stand before the savior at his second coming, perhaps i was trying to bury the previous thought with a more amazing event. I pictured images in my mind of paintings of the savior coming in glory and even myself standing before him close enough to give him a handshake.
And I could not look him in the eye.
It was like a child who knows they have done wrong and they are standing before their parents and will try to look around at anything, the floor, the side, anything, except the eyes of the person in front of them.
I have since cut out all the distractions I can think of, or you might even think of them as the adversaries deceptions trying to get us to see evil as good. TV, Video games, Books, Radio, Most youtube videos (I still watch educational ones and spiritual ones, like this and conference talks), etc. I'm trying to get back to principles I followed on my mission of avoiding anything that can distract me from the spirit. Perhaps some are better at not being distracted and don't need to go that far, we are counseled to seek after all good things. And there are good things out there. But many of those good things are laced with not so good things. So for now I'm avoiding what distracts me.
You know how there are many times were you could be having idle thoughts and many times those idle thoughts get filled with some random song you cant get out of your head or maybe a movie you have seen or a TV show that made you laugh? What if your mind more easily was filled with things of god, church hymns and other spiritually uplifting things, conference talks, scripture? I've found since I cut out many of the distractions of the world it has been MUCH easier to avoid sin and temptation and im beginning to see what its like to look with an eye "SINGLE" to the glory of god. Many of the conference talks I've watched say to look with an eye single to the glory of god. How many of us have brushed this or other council off as if we are doing "good enough". How many of us like me will find they won't be able to look to Christ with an eye single to his glory when he comes, because of our own shame?
I wasn't temple worthy when the above happened, but now I am and I'm now trying to follow the prophets council to attend the temple with all my new found time I have on my hands since im not filling it with frivolous distractions.
3. Another interesting thing that's happened to me is I'm pretty much working poor when looking at the average persons income and we have been short handed at work. Because of that I have been working overtime because its needed, and despite needing to work overtime it's felt more like a blessing then a thing robbing me of my time. That extra cash flow income I've been putting into emergency preparedness, a strong 72hr - week grab and go kit and food supply and portable water filters.
This comment reminds me of 2 Nephi 9:45. We all need to wake up 😊
Hi - I read your comment and saw that you mentioned eclipses and having an interest in them. I’d like to suggest a book holding much insight into the wonders of the stars and sky. It’s from a Biblical perspective and the insight in it is truly incredible. Everything in creation actually points back to the creator and this book really showcases this specifically amongst the wonders in the sky. It’s called The Witness of the Stars by E.W. Bullinger. I highly recommend the read 😊
Felt like the first eclipse in 2017 was the beginning of the 7 years of plenty and the last eclipse marked the end of that. In any case, I was under my house fixing something and was scooting by my food storage. Several years ago I felt an urgency to get it all in order and did so. As I scooted by I noted the date I did all that.......2017! I felt blessed to have the sprit guide me to begin preparing right when the 7 years of plenty began. Good feeling to have it all set and ready.

As the world becomes more wicked (as prophesied) the tendency to panic and beat and shout these truths to all who will hear, unfortunately will be received with anger and resentment. President Nelson builds bridges, not animosity. So as I listen to these warnings I realize his counsel to teach and share with peace and to think Celestial is always the best way…. It’s Christ’s way… and we also must continually work out our own salvation through continued sanctification by continually keeping our covenants.

Thank you so much for doing your part parker. I have felt a strong urgency for the last couple of years to prepare as much as i can temporarily but much more importantly to be prepared spiritually. The Lord has worked many miracles in my life since then and I know there is so much more to come.

I loved Elder Holland’s talk in the April 2024 Conference. I ‘felt’ the ‘Urgency’ he was referring to. So did my family and friends. Great and important discussion, thank you! It has probably already been said but because it’s important to people thinking that they are fine for a couple more years: The Salt Lake Temple will be earthquake safe likely within the next couple of months. I have from the man in charge of that part of the project that the final four base isolators, the final major structural portion of making it earthquake-safe, began in April and should be done by “late spring.” So important for our spiritual foundations to be secure NOW! So important to be fully consecrated to the Lord and overcome/forsake this telestial before it falls apart, whenever that might be.

I watched your video, then sent it to friends and family members and then watched it with my husband after church yesterday (Sun, May 19, 2024). Thank you, for a wonderful presentation and your testimony. It was excellent and I add: Amen and Amen!!
We have felt this is coming for years and have worked toward that also but you reach a much younger audience and thank you for doing this. The workd seem obsessed with fun and I do not want them to be caught unawares. The New Era just had an article about preparing the youth to meet the Savior a month or two ago. The church has been building temples in preparation for the large influx of people that will come to the church in all lands. What an amazing time in which we live if we are a prepared people.
The reason that each generation is commanded to prepare, is that, as a body of the Church, we purify ourselves to another level of perfection and faith. The children today are WAAAAY more prepared and focused on the temple and perfection and gathering Israel, than my generation was EVER prepared for. I have witnessed the acceleration that really began in a serious fashion in the 80's...I find great inspiration from the Primary children yo do better and be better. It's magnificent to witness this transformation.

When the Kirtland temple came back into the ownership of the church, I had a thought that we should look at the dedicatory prayer to see if it had any particular messages for our day. Section 109 was given to the Prophet Joseph Smith by revelation. It's likely that it was given for that day - but ALSO given for our day (prophesies often have multiple fulfillments). Having the Kirtland temple back would bring it back into focus in the church. So, it was very interesting to me that President Nelson pointed us to that Section and asked us to study it. I don't think it's a coincidence at all that a major portion of it relates to the Second Coming.
In that day Jesus will say to Joseph Smith "Depart from me, I never knew you."
we just need to stay close to the Lord. WE need to pray unceasingly. Talk to the Lord in times that you need Him and in times you dont think you need Him. I have seen the Hand of the Lord many times in my life. God bless you all.

It's almost 3 in the morning at time of writing, but watching your video was absolutely worth it.
I've actually been keeping a digital note for a while now with quotes and different thoughts regarding the nearness of us to the Second Coming, and your video adds a few extra things I'll make note of later.
I'd also like to add one more source: The first talk from last conference, from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. I remember distinctly the feeling of hearing that talk from last conference for the first time (I've actually read it a number of times now because of how important I feel it is), and I hope I can convey that just a little bit here:
First, and there's no way to put this simply: Jeffrey R. Holland returned from the "edge of eternity" - which I interpret to mean beyond the grave, or at least the veil - with "an admonition to return to my ministry with more urgency, more consecration, more focus on the Savior, more faith in His word". This is the acting President of the 12 we're talking about here, and he comes back feeling like he needs to be more consecrated, faithful, and urgent with his works? Additionally, he noted that he has tried to "raise an apostolic voice of both warmth and warning" much more since then - the contrast between the two, and yet also the importance of both, should be noted by all of us.
Finally, remember what he speaks right near the end: That Christ needs to recognize us as faithful members. Again, President Holland refers to it as "an urgent matter", lest we hear "“I never knew you" or "You never knew me".
We see that the acting president of the 12 here has spoken of both urgency on his part and ours. If he felt the need to become more consecrated, faithful, and urgent with this work - and then tells us our need to be faithful is much the same - I'm not sure how much clearer anyone can make it.
I'm not sure if the Second Coming will be in 5 or 50 years, but I do know we need to prepare - the time is now, brothers and sisters.
I love the original wording in what he SAID in conference compared to what is written in the official report. I'm sure they changed it because what he said was a little linguistically awkward. But what he SAID was, "I bear witness of the reality of eternal life and the need for us to be serious in our planning for it. That "serious" needs to exist when Christ comes, because He needs to recognize us. Not as nominal members listed on a faded baptismal record, but as thoroughly committed, faithfully believing, covenant keeping disciples. This is an urgent matter."
What he said (to my ears) implies that the Savior will return BEFORE most of us reach eternal life. (And, in fact, His return is so near that we need to be urgent in that preparation).
Daniel 7-11 give a remarkable time line that I for one cannot ignore, the time is short. Father's who Love their children Want them to know and be prepared!
Fifty years would be considered almost 2 generations. If so the time is NOT now, I'm 65, and will have already met my Savior. Look for something MUCH sooner...it's coming, I so testify...
Beautifully put. I was struck by his talk too. I have been making concerted efforts to deepen my devotion time, pray out loud (that is so hard for me when I am alone - but I have already had 3 answers for me personally as to why I need to pray aloud) including to listening to a session of conference every day {I put it on as I am going to sleep and let it play for one session - I know it sounds kind of silly but why can't my spirit pick up on what is being said and unsaid in these talks - I have definitely felt a difference doing this between last October 2023 and April 2024. I still listen every night}
Agree, I'd guess "2 or 12" (not 5-50) but focus on preparation, service, faith, endurance, miracles, witness, warning, authority, gathering, etc etc urgency not time.

I am weighing in after the 333rd comment. In Strongs Concordance 333 = Observe carefully, or "To survey a series of things from the lowest to the highest, To look along up or through, To look at attentively, To observe accurately, and To consider well." Very appropriate as we consider every type of preparation. I know President Nelson is a Prophet of God. I'm looking forward to Christ's return.
It is important to be spiritually prepared, because being spiritually prepared, will tell you to be Temperly prepared.
