People saying he was targeting the trans community haven't seen the show at all and if they did, they weren't listening.
I watched it and listened. Chapelle is a fine critic of culture when it comes to anti-black racism. But it doesn't translate when it comes to gender. His whole show is the transphobic equivalent of a racist guy doing a standup about his one black friend who knew how to take a racist joke.
That community must be superior to all in this universe it seems. Even the Queen must bow to them

Ive genuinely asked how his jokes “targeted” the trans community and still haven’t gotten a real answer, I just get accused of being transphobic when I’m trying to understand. can some please explain how he was being transphobic? I thought he was sharing his experience with a trans comedian he knew and then started a foundation in her memory when she past. I don’t get it , I really don’t . Can someone help me out here?

For the lgbt+ who watch the special and heard the message, y’all cool ppls. Y’all had an open mind and understood where Dave was coming from.
I watched it and it's not like that. He is spreading misinformation about trans people when most don't know much about it in the first place. This special is the transphobic equivalent of a racist comic making a show about a black friend they had who was could take a racist joke before they killed themselves at least.
