That trans woman Netflix activist has quite a checkered history of posting racist comments towards Asian American's.

I watched it and being a transgender myself...I didn't find anything offensive..I enjoyed the show and laughed hard at his jokes...let the man live..

If you have watched Chapelle for a while then you would understand how his shows work. It's more than comedy. He tells a story through his jokes and then wraps it all up at the end.
The latest story he told was about his transgendered friend who committed suicide.

The people getting mad in the media didn’t watch his standup that’s in question. Could easily take a one liner joke out of context from any comedian and play it on the news and everyone would get riled up no matter what was actually said. Just like you said. I'm like this why is it OK for the LGBTQ community to laugh at jokes about everyone else, but we can't laugh at jokes about them. Dave has proven his point by standing his ground. He wasn't being mean at all and half of them probably never even watched his special just going of what they were told and how they should feel.
It's not all gay people. I am gay and my boyfriend were laughing our butts off watching that special. And he was literally making fun of slaves and his own oppression. I respect him using his own hurt in life and turning it into laughs.

If you look at history the greatest comedians always had hate from the media because the people watching that media or living in ivory towers don't listen to comedians and it can stir up anger which gives them engagement and makes them money.

The difference between Chappelles jokes and other past jokes on topics like this is that he actually has logical points of compassion and understanding behind the jokes and around them that he also makes clear. It's not about cheap laughs of the past where the only punchline is "ha they aren't straight."
How many times does this man need to explain where his material is coming from and what he's actually saying amongst the jokes.
I'm gonna go ahead and watch the closer again for the 4th time. Because it's funny and hits so many great points about understanding, compassion, and comparing different struggles.

The one thing you can know about anyone claiming his special was anti-LGBTQ is that they did not watch the special. Well, that or they are humorless scolds who watched it with their minds made up beforehand and so did not listen to anything that was said. The special showed nothing but heart and warmth toward the LGBTQ community, and basically lampooned Dave’s own ‘prejudices’ as a proxy for the gay prejudices common in the black male community. The offended simply are incapable of comprehending that when Dave says he’s a homophobe, he’s being ironic. Claiming to the the thing he is being accused of even though he is not, and his conduct and friendships prove he is not. In making light of it all, he inspires people to laugh, rather than get angry, because when we can laugh together, we can not help but see the humanity in one another. I applaud NETFLIX for refusing to knuckle under to the histrionic demands about what is or isn’t funny coming from people incapable of laughing at themselves.
