You are right on the money,my friend. I grew up going to the Int. Amphitheater in Chicago. Great memories.....in fact,I was there the night Bruiser and Crusher won the tag titles in 1975. Great stuff!!
Classic wrestling! Loved the old AWA..even seen it live a few times when it came to my area. Crusher and Bruiser were always a good draw..even moreso when Bobby Heenan was across the ring. Ray Stevens is one of the absolute best ever! Mad Dog Vachon,The Blackjacks,Big Bad Bobby Duncum..list of my old time faves could go on forever from those days in that area
My uncle lived in St. Joe, Minn and across the street lived Larry Henning (the AXE) and he had a gym in the basement. Went over there as a young man and meet other AWA wrestlers that were working out. Incredible to see the young Henning.
outlaws, stevens and bock, crusher bruiser, bastein and cortez, muraco and robinson the vachons. and so many more awa was the place to be for tag team wrestling. nothing compares to it. vince has killed tag team wrestling.
Bob Luce's commentary is what made AWA worth watching. Enjoyed it every Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Bob Luce rules Rip.
Great stuff. I Love Bob Luce's commentary. This guy is like the exact opposite of Michael Cole & Byron Saxton.

Damn someone please recreate the AWA in old style. This crap today is boring.
back in the 60s and early 70s nobody could top the awa back then and now awa rules
they just dont have matches like that anymore
love the awa!
sound is terrible.
hahahahahhha 1:24...sends him in for the ride...dropdown..and crusher runs into a corner instead of straight....hahahahahahaha
