Really not much of a comparison, in some cases suggesting 6500 ton vessels are equivalent to others under 1000 tons. Also countries tend to build ships suitable for their areas of operation. Ships for the north Atlantic for example must be larger and more heavily built than equivalants in less demanding areas. Also the range at which countries operate typically is a major condition of capability.
Sometimes it's better to abstain and not choose a side! Egypt has the luxury of being able to stay out of everything without choosing a side and therefore a friend, but also an enemy. ;)
@@martegiove5104 Why? Because then you're not on either side! As soon as you choose a side in a conflict, you automatically have an enemy. If you have the option to stay out of it, you won't have any problems. Do you understand what I mean?
I love these numbers-based comparisons based on a few factors but in reality naval power involves much more than how many ships you have. Logistics support is key to a navies effectiveness, particularly far from home bases and actual combat experience is also a crucial qualifier.
If you downgraded Greece because of a lack of aircraft carriers then know that Greece doesn't need them. We have our islands and they're our aircraft carriers.
You haven't understood the purpose of NATO yet! Netherlands doesn't have 11, but everything that can be seen in this video!!! The NATO army is the army of the Netherlands, like any other NATO state! As long as you don't attack anyone, the armed forces of the Netherlands consist of the entire NATO, if the Netherlands is attacked, it will be defended by the entire NATO, in this case it is the army that defends the Netherlands, the strongest army in the world ;) So you can rightly say that the Netherlands has an army with 3.5 million soldiers, 22,000 aircraft and 2,200 warships, 1 million armored vehicles, 12,000 tanks, 15,000 artillery systems, 1,500 attack helicopters, 6,000 nuclear weapons. 20,000 armored personnel carriers. In addition, there are unimaginably powerful industrial complexes, an indescribable amount of money and technology. Do you know Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW and VW? Germany alone produces 11,000 new vehicles EVERY DAY! Thats every 7 seconds a brand new Mercedes or Porsche^^ and that 365 days a year!!! and that's just Germany, the NATO states together are an epic power that you can hardly imagine. The NATO states and allies produce a total of 36 million cars per year, which is 100,000 per day, 4,100 per hour, 69 per minute and 1.2 vehicles per second ^^ So the Netherlands doesn't just have ...11... ^^
@@FestungEuropa.v You overestimate NATO's strength. NATO's famous Article 5 is not an automatic declaration of war against a country that attacks a NATO member. NATO Article 5: “If such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force...”. EU Article 42, paragraph 7: “If a Member State is the victim of armed aggression on its territory, the other Member States have an obligation to help and assist it by all the means in their power...”. So, under NATO, you can do whatever you like in terms of response, whereas under the EU, you have to use the maximum means at your disposal. It's a huge difference, but what's more, a treaty only exists if countries believe in it. If, for example, Donald Trump says that the USA will no longer protect NATO countries, the treaty is dead, and will have no value other than the paper it's written on. In reality, the response will depend almost entirely on the choice made by the United States. A coordinated response within NATO is a response chosen by the US and the rest will follow. For example, if Russia invades Estonia, if the US says it will protect Estonia, the European countries will do the same, and if the US says it won't protect Estonia, European countries won't lift a finger. It is the reality of the balance of power. Even more accurate nowadays. The major problem with the EU treaties is that European countries believe in their own strength. Who will be the leader of this coalition? The force that can pull the other countries along? France, I don't think, has the status to convince the other countries, France with Germany, but it's not in good shape at the moment. Germany doesn't want to leave the US leadership. What's more, NATO is much more US-led than Dutch-led, so if the US wants to attack a country like Iraq, it's hard for EU countries to say no, but if the Netherlands wants to use US navy ships for its own intervention, good luck, I can't see the US agreeing to that.

Turkish TCG Anadolu and Spanish Juan Carlos are twinses ... if Juan Carlos is an aircraft carrier why to consider Juan Carlos as aircreft carrier and ignore the turkish twins
In reality, the Juan Carlos is not an aircraft carrier but an HD with the ability to carry fixed wings, but it is normally considered an aircraft carrier, while the Anadolu has no fighters but it can carry drones so it is not an aircraft carrier if it ever carries drones, if the Spanish do not buy the F35Bs it will have to be transformed into a drone carrier too, Italy and other NATO countries are also planning to build new full-deck drone carriers, so they should also be considered aircraft carriers, but they are drone carriers. I remind you that when a ship is considered an aircraft carrier it is really for having the capacity and hangar for maintenance of air vehicles, otherwise it is considered an aircraft carrier for support.,In the Mediterranean the only real aircraft carriers are the French one and the Cavour, while the Trieste is designed to be one but for now it acts as a flight deck.
@met71metaldetector55 so let's think that an airxraft carrier loses all its aircrafts during war and now it has no aircraft anymore. @CROM-on1bz True but It's One and the efficiency of the Wolf pack strategy with submarines proved very effective during WW II , also smaller and rumorless Electric powered stealth submarines are virtually impossible to be detected, a couple years ago during training an Italian submarine emerged right in the middle of a Carrier fleet group totally undetected , with everybody's utmost Surprise, Italians included, the manouver was meant as a test for detection but nobody expected such utter failure , or success depending on how you look at it

This attitude is of course very theoretical. The strength of the navy is of course also dependent on the length of the coast that it has to defend. This mainly affects the patrol boats. In some countries, the patrol boats do not belong to the navy but to the coast guard, which is subordinate to the navy in the event of war. There are also sometimes serious differences in the armament, age and shipyard times of the frigates and destroyers.
I agree, but here they are including patrol boats that are also guided missile boats, and NOT Coast Guard boats. Many of the countries rated here have well armed missile boats in their Navy carrying anti-ship Exocet or Harpoon missiles, plus torpedoes for anti-submarine warfare. For ex. the majority of the Greek Navy's 30+ "partrol boats" are actually heavily armed fast guided missile boats which have all the aforementioned armament, plus RIM-116 with 21 anti-air RAM missiles, 76mm main gun(s), plus 30mm or 40mm cannons, etc. They are actually 60+ meter long small Corvettes. All that weaponry and their purpose is usually NOT the Coast Guard's responsibility. So if you noticed in the video the "patrol boats" were not categorized or broken down, but all grouped together, and they fairly accurately list the vessels that are part of the country's Navy only, not their Coast Guard's. All the countries included in the video with a coast line also have a Coast guard with separate, less armed vessels. Greece for ex. has several hundred Coast Guard vessels due their extensive coast line and hundreds of islands.
That Luxembourg it's much higher in ranking that a fucking 26th - so as a Number "1st / 27", Luxembourg beats the US Navy - not by real Ships, but by real money in Save's for a own Luxembourg Navy ( 1,000 Aircraft Carrier Ships) next time on the Rhine River to rule the Northern Sea and the Atlantic waves!
But Greece has islands that double the navy , each island can become a corvette If you put a truck/launcher like Greece is now buying Elbit Pulse for less than 20 million each Greece buys 36, they also have rockets for ranges of 150/300 km and a rocket costs only 300 thousand, one launcher of a Barak MX air defense battery that fires 8 missiles at the same time also costs around 30 million, so in the Aegean Sea Greece has islands/like a fortress that for 50 million shoots for a range of 150 km, against ships and against aircraft (one enemy corvette will cost 500, 10 times more expensive) and so in the Aegean Sea the Greek fleet is double at low costs, and this is even before the spike nlos that they have already put
Italy has the oldest navy in the world, with a tradition of many centuries. It is second to none, not even to the English. The USA is only there for firepower. And the French....,,🤣🤣
German, 60. It would be better to use the total tonnage of the fleet as a benchmark. The number of ships and boats is hardly a criterion for the performance of a navy. Modernity could be better described by an average factor of year of construction and ship capacity, i.e. the average age of the fleet. Capabilities such as the number of sea-based naval aircraft would also be interesting. Operational capabilities are determined by supply ships and tankers as well as the number and location of naval bases. If these are missing, no matter how large a fleet is, it can be limited to its own coastal waters.
I fear your ratings are based on paper navies, not effective fighting forces. The Canadian navy's four submarines are usually non-operational, their frigates are old and often unavailable and its only new vessels, the Arctic Offshore Patrol vessels, have a tendency to flood and break down in open seas. On an effective force basis the RCN probably ranks a little behind Denmark, despite having the longest coastline in the world.

Italy is also building up their Navy as well, so in the least Italy and France will be the 2 big naval powers in Europe. Germany doesn't even have as many warships as Greece and has fallen greatly behind, and so has the UK's Navy which has run out of money. In other Navy comparison articles they have Germany at like #9 or #10, UK #7 or 8 I believe, and the Greek Navy #5, but I think that's purely going by the number of vessels, not their quality, firepower or age.
Trump will not pull America out of Nato, Italian navy is much superior to France's. Two carriers and F35 VTOL 5th generation. France has 1 old carrier and no 5th generation jet fighters. The Rafale is 4th generation and lacks interoperability. Why you make videos about topics you know nothing about?
Yes. Usually, the one who threatens or directly attacks others must have a strong navy, in addition to other military branches. Only the one who tries and practices a policy of mutual tolerance and respect for the needs or demands of others does not have the need to build and own a strong army. Only in the case that he would need it for his defense. But that is not the case in the Euro-Atlantic zone.
Sufficiente?

I noticed that too. The US has 74 active Arleigh Burke destroyers, with the 74th delivered to the Navy over a month ago on Nov. 9, 2024, plus 2 active Zumwalt class destroyers, plus 9 active Ticonderoga cruisers. So as of early last month there were 73 active AB's, plus 2 Zum's = 75. So the #75 in the video is pretty accurate for destroyers only, and of course they forgot to list the 9 cruisers, which btw all of them are to be decommissioned by 2029 starting with the first ones in 2027. I have a feeling they might extend the Ticonderogas' service, because they had counted on 20 new Constellation class frigates being delivered by 2029 to replace these old cruisers. The fact is the Constellation FFG-X program is running years behind schedule, as is the new DDG-X program, so it will be interesting to see if they will still retire all 9 cruisers by 2029, and also if they start decommissioning the old Flight I/II Arleigh Burke's in 2030 as scheduled, since not all the Constellation frigates will be ready (if any with all the design changes they are still making). The only good news is we are still building new & improved/more advanced Flight III Arleigh Burke destroyers.

Polish "Patrol Ships" are only patrol vessels on the paper. That's because the entire armament has not yet been finished. It's a Corvette class. Polish patrol boats will look like Swedish ones. An IFV on the sea. Armoured shell with autocannons and missile launchers combined with a power boat's speed.
If Sweden has almost 300 Patrol boats, why not rank higher. The few next didn’t come close in comparison as whole. Also having submarines is good. Not having aircarriers and destroyers is a minus. Finland should absolutly have submarines. They can ditch the old agreement with the Soviet to not have subs, when Russia is now discarding their agreements too. The Swedish amount of patrolboats is still mind boggling. 😮
Facts that prove why the Greek Navy is more capable than some others which are presented as better: - In 2020, the Greek frigate Limnos rammed and destroyed the Turkish frigate Kemal Reis, opening a huge hole on its hull. - In 2024, during the European operation Aspides, in the Red Sea, the Greek frigates intercepted a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using their anti-drone system, and managed to destroy one, while the rest fled away. On the contrary, the German Navy air defenders almost shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper, again in the Red Sea.
Drones that were all shot down in the Russia-Ukraine war in the first month or 2. Even the Libyans shot down a bunch of Turkish drones. The Bayraktar variants are too big and slow and easily shot down by any country that has anti-air capabilities. This is why the Ukrainians are using the much smaller and cheaper commercial drones (to drop small munitions like 100-120mm mortar) that are virtually undetectable and hard to shoot down. Even a few of the big expensive US drones like Predator and Reaper have been shot down. Turkish drones are good only for attacking low-tech forces that have no anti-air defense capabilities.
drones, you know they are used since the 90s? bcs Turkey send a few Bayraktar drones as publicity to Ukraine it means nothing! Inform yourself about other drones, like Italian F35 and their drones that fly beside the jet, every pilot has the control over it, Norwegian drones, so tiny like a paperplane, 10 cm long, it starts from the hand, Swedish one, US ones, German ones etc.etc. etc.

Whether it has 2 cannons or 6. And some of the numbers I am very doubtful about. According to you, Denmark should have 9 frigates. The correct number is 5: Iver Huitfeldt class (3 frigates): 1. Iver Huitfeldt 2. Peter Willemoes 3. Niels Juel These are designed as modern air defense frigates and are used for both national and international tasks. Absalon class (2 frigates): 1. Absalon 2. I'm astonished at the size of the navy Sweden is able to support, given its tiny population. You Greeks are so Funny
Netherlands 11 not bad! And we scaling up our military capabilities now in short time💪💪💪
You haven't understood the purpose of NATO yet! Netherlands doesn't have 11, but everything that can be seen in this video!!! The NATO army is the army of the Netherlands, like any other NATO state! As long as you don't attack anyone, the armed forces of the Netherlands consist of the entire NATO, if the Netherlands is attacked, it will be defended by the entire NATO, in this case it is the army that defends the Netherlands, the strongest army in the world ;)
So you can rightly say that the Netherlands has an army with 3.5 million soldiers, 22,000 aircraft and 2,200 warships, 1 million armored vehicles, 12,000 tanks, 15,000 artillery systems, 1,500 attack helicopters, 6,000 nuclear weapons.
The NATO states and allies produce a total of 36 million cars per year, which is 100,000 per day, 4,100 per hour, 69 per minute and 1.2 vehicles per second ^^
So the Netherlands doesn't just have ...11...
@@FestungEuropa.v it's not exactly like that, to defend a country born all the other countries should agree, and there are always those who don't

Greece buys 36, they also have rockets for ranges of 150/300 km and a rocket costs only 300 thousand, one launcher of a Barak MX air defense battery that fires 8 missiles at the same time also costs around 30 million, so in the Aegean Sea Greece has islands/like a fortress that for 50 million shoots for a range of 150 km, against ships and against aircraft (one enemy corvette will cost 500, 10 times more expensive) and so in the Aegean Sea the Greek fleet is double at low costs, and this is even before the spike nlos that they have already put

US CRUISERS ?????
Part of Finnish Navy are also Coastal Forces with Anti-Ship missiles and Special Coastal Jaegers and Seals units. It’s combined Force which counts.
Incorrect information for many countries...
In addition, the navy is not of great importance on the European continent, because land-based missile systems are the key to defense.

If you didn't understand, I'm talking about the defense of Europe. The Navy then and now is more important for further destinations. You can see how important it is, unimportant, with the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, which is hiding and which has been largely destroyed.

Turkey has 15 frigates and 13 submarines. The Greek frigate Limnos turned the Turkish frigate Kemal Reis into a submarine, four years ago.🤣

@@Memett0406 Nope. Kemal Reis is officially a submarine since it met frigate Limnos.
Yaaaa. Tamam problem. Yokk. Sen en güçlü sun 🇹🇷
Facts that prove why the Greek Navy is more capable than some others which are presented as better:
- In 2020, the Greek frigate Limnos rammed and destroyed the Turkish frigate Kemal Reis, opening a huge hole on its hull.

BUT TURKEY HAVE GREAT DRONES
they proved to be useless in REAL WAR
@@vtecharrys.6981 well explained
drones, you know they are used since the 90s? bcs Turkey send a few Bayraktar drones as publicity to Ukraine it means nothing! Inform yourself about other drones, like Italian F35 and their drones that fly beside the jet, every pilot has the control over it, Norwegian drones, so tiny like a paperplane, 10 cm long, it starts from the hand, Swedish one, US ones, German ones etc.etc. etc.
I clearly lack information about what is used to rank the individual countries / vessels against. Is a ship a ship - whether it weighs 1000 GRT or 60,000 GRT, whether it has 2 missiles or 48. Whether it has 2 cannons or 6. And some of the numbers I am very doubtful about. According to you, Denmark should have 9 frigates. The correct number is 5:
Iver Huitfeldt class (3 frigates):
1. Iver Huitfeldt
2. Peter Willemoes
3. Niels Juel
These are designed as modern air defense frigates and are used for both national and international tasks.
Absalon class (2 frigates):
1. Absalon
2. Esbern Snare
With such blatant errors, I can't take this video for anything other than a waste of time on your part. Get your facts straight.

The first TF-2000 destroyer will also be added this year (built). Please don't get me wrong but every person knows that Greece has no chance against Turkey 7.5 billion vs 40.6 billion defense budget.
