Both my 2.0 MG and the RG Freedom I have stand on their own just fine with the wings folded up. It took a minute to position the legs and feet right, but 6 months later and they are still standing up just fine.
Kozak Hunter the only thing i like about the strike freedom is how u can move the side skirts to the back to put the rifles instead... But still freedom is better xD
My rg freedom can stand on its own w/ either folded or spreaded wings. You need to place it on a flat surface because its legs joints are sturdy enough to hold the weigh of its wings on the back.
It takes me about 10 minutes of re-positioning the legs to unnatural angles to get the RG Freedom to stand on its own; it can be done, but it takes ages. Basically, the joints in the hips, knees and ankles are too loose and/or weak to hold up the wings without some serious work.
I think you should consider does it beat in presence? No, then the 1/60 and the MG beat it. But in details and quality, without question is this the superior version.
I think the 1/100 beam saber blades are perfect. I think it's good that they're including the trigger hands, as I had trouble with the Strike holding... anything. MUCH more solid than the articulated hands. Have you had issues with the wings on the Freedom separating? If I fiddle with them too much they start to fall apart. Definitely better than the MG, especially with the horrible seams on the guns on the MG
Ah man, was hoping to see if you would squeeze in a MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka. review to see if it would be the next MG of the year before this year ends! We gotta knock AGE outta there!
Hmm... It's hard to do a direct dimensional comparison. They're probably about the same length, IF you put the beam blades on the METEOR. The Dendro is definitely taller and bulkier in general. Both awesome kits if you can swing them, though the Meteor cheaps out on some things. Then again, it's 1/3 the price.
It seems to be just on my freedom that ONE of the wing sections on ONE side is loose.Luckily, that section is supposed to hang downwards anyway in open or closed confirmation, but it still bugs me.
is there only once size of action base? I'm thinking about getting this kit but I for sure want the action base to counteract the balance issue :3 great review beeteedubz! really like it. shows what this suit can do and how strong it holds up. I recently got MG Duel and got a Buster on the way and that MG kit is EXTREMELY solid. and that's really what I look for in my gunpla. don't got a lot of gunpla but my MG Qan[T] has side skirt issues / :
I already got the MG Freedom. I am a big Fan of the Freedom, but I am also kinda annoyed by the flimsy Wings, and the Hands without pegs (which makes him drop his gun every now and then). How do you guys think this kit compares to the MG version? Do you lose some detail? How is the building/putting together, when compared to the MG? How is the general feel and moveability? Just from the Video, it looks almost better than the MG >_>
+Zerodyme K I personally like it better, it can be a nightmare to panel line, the moveability is pretty much identical. It's not the easiest build, and there are some super fine parts. it was my fourth RG build, so I wasn't too surprised, but it can be a bit daunting if it's your first RG build- the stickers are finicky to get on, and it's definitely worth top coating even if you apply no other paint.
Those don't come with the kit and to my knowledge aren't sold anywhere. Bandai just put it up on display at expo shows with those things, but they are not included.
This was my first ever model kit. Big mistake. I had no idea what I was doing back then and tried gettingthe pieces off the runners using nose clippers. XD
+Fioravante Grimaldi I'm not Jabman, but they are both the same scale. They're both 1/144 - About 5-5 to 6 inches for your standard-sized Gundam or Grunt Suit. RG kits have way more detail than HG do, though.
MysteryTaco They're meant to be exactly the same - but mobile suits from Wing are smaller in general, so if you have for example the Wing / Wing Zero Custom that would be smaller than other High Grade kits.
dragonballzkai9283 twice the build time or the HG, but if it is your first time, you must finished it about 10 hours, with some smoking break and snacks of course.
Hi can anyone gave me a tutorial on how to equip my freedom on an action based stand I know real grade gave a peg to equip but I'm having problems jus to equip it pls help
Lewis CLARK cool man. and if you're going for a more realist build go with either a real grade 144 or master grade. check this site out too. They have gundams I haven't seen on amazon before. www.gundamplanet.com/
so sad... i just opened up my kit and started building, finally got to the arms and the upper arm armor under the pauldrons are all melted and unusable... T~T already half built and stuff so i can't send it back to amazon sigh
Love these two kits! What's the difference between RG, MG, PG, and HG. I want to start building my own gunpla. What do you prefer in High quality? I want one.
Of the scales HG is the simplest so it's great for beginners, MG is a step up in complexity and scale; they're going to be more expensive and more challlenging. RGs have the smaller size of the HGs but are closer to MG levels of complexity and detail. PGs are the end all be all, very large, very expensive, very complex. I'd recommend starting with a HG and then working your way up to the RGs and MGs
Meteor Unit...REALLY JABMAN?! ...why the Exclusive one? why not just get the one that came with the HG and give a Double-Review? is it the decals or something?
Both my 2.0 MG and the RG Freedom I have stand on their own just fine with the wings folded up. It took a minute to position the legs and feet right, but 6 months later and they are still standing up just fine.
I never knew that this was considered a difficult build. This is my one and only kit and I thought that all kits were like this. Good to know that.
My first kit was a real grade z'gok, so everything I've built since that has felt like a breeze. It's both good and bad.
I have noticed that the best building experience is from real grades,so its understandable
I love how you get that Freedom always come with Justice. They're my favorite Gundams of all time.
i got turned off Real Grades after the first one (RX-78-2). Everything was just falling apart too easily. I'm glad you're liking the series!
this is probably my favorite kit I've ever made. I LOVE this kit.
I use the beam saber blades from the RG Destiny instead of the ones from the kit to fix that problem
Freedom > Strike Freedom
Kozak Hunter the only thing i like about the strike freedom is how u can move the side skirts to the back to put the rifles instead... But still freedom is better xD
I feel the same way. The original Freedom is gorgeous.
Kozak Hunter I agree, Strike doesn't make sense it has more heavier parts and it's faster than normal freedom?
100% agreed
when i started to mod my HG justice to complement my RG freedom, RG justice was announced on day 4 of my WIP >
Agreed. I felt the Freedom's beams were meant to be a bit long in the show, so they work

How has the frame kept up?
To date just fine although I haven't reposed it much
And because I tried to put the peg peace on the crotch of the freedom and it doesn't seem to hold stable if there is a video for equipping real grades
Also, the RG poseable hands are VERY fragile and will break easily. So be very careful when you pose them
I cant wait to see the meteor unit with the freedom

do i just missed??i dont have that cover on the part of the shoulder that should sticking out when move upward the whole arm..
It seems to be just on my freedom that ONE of the wing sections on ONE side is loose.Luckily, that section is supposed to hang downwards anyway in open or closed confirmation, but it still bugs me.
So there is 1/144 HG Meteor Unit. How big is that thing compared to 1/144 HG Dendrobium?
is there only once size of action base? I'm thinking about getting this kit but I for sure want the action base to counteract the balance issue :3

What action base is that at the end?
Does putting the guns forward or weapons in the hand help the balance any?

Get the 2.0 MG. It's the definitive freedom model, period :D
What is the action base you are using in the video?
what is the best accesoris for strike freedom
Those don't come with the kit and to my knowledge aren't sold anywhere. Bandai just put it up on display at expo shows with those things, but they are not included.
Will you be reviewing the rg gundam mk ii
should I get the RG Freedom or RG Strike Freedom ?
LegacyGaming ROBLOX & MORE!! both
Freedom
Do you have any problems with the arms when moving them? In my figure if I try to move them to certain directions they fall out :S
mine stands good with the wings on.. u just have to find the right pose and angle of the legs and feet .. :)
thumbs up for the reviews .. :)
Some Wing kits and MS are back heavy. Even double 0 raiser.
Hey Jabman, it's been a few years, how are Freedom's hands holding up? I've heard of hand breaks and hope yours are still doing fine.
This was my first ever model kit. Big mistake. I had no idea what I was doing back then and tried gettingthe pieces off the runners using nose clippers. XD
hi! did you use maker on this model?
Oh god the Meteor
My 1/144 HGCA Freedom has fallen over out of embarrassment.
+jabman025 are the RG bigger than the HG?
+Fioravante Grimaldi I'm not Jabman, but they are both the same scale. They're both 1/144 - About 5-5 to 6 inches for your standard-sized Gundam or Grunt Suit. RG kits have way more detail than HG do, though.
from my experience rgs are like a few centimeters shorter
MysteryTaco They're meant to be exactly the same - but mobile suits from Wing are smaller in general, so if you have for example the Wing / Wing Zero Custom that would be smaller than other High Grade kits.
i have that plus the exia and red frame and they seem a tiny bit smaller- not marginally but still a bit
I took 3 days to assemble rg freedom and almost 5 days for rg justice.
I'm not bragging or anything but I built the kit in 2 days is that the regular amount of time?
Finished mine in 5 hours. No decals though
dragonballzkai9283 twice the build time or the HG, but if it is your first time, you must finished it about 10 hours, with some smoking break and snacks of course.
I got mine to stand up with the wings folded up and with them open.
Hi can anyone gave me a tutorial on how to equip my freedom on an action based stand I know real grade gave a peg to equip but I'm having problems jus to equip it pls help
Hey jabman025! Please do a review on RG Strike Freedom.
Where did you get the real grade freedom? I'm really digging real grades
wow these toys are cool where can i get one?
They're not toys they're Gunpla
If you play with a gundam model kit it will break easily so I suggest dont buy one if your going to play with it
where're the five colorful beams?!
To the last part: Like a boss.
Also, are you getting the RG Destiny when he comes out?
do you need tools to build this ?
nope, maybe some super glue but everything slides and snaps together
Thanks man
Lewis CLARK yeah man no problem. you pick out one you're gonna build?
Ive found this One for a Gold price in amazon so ill probably her it
Lewis CLARK cool man. and if you're going for a more realist build go with either a real grade 144 or master grade. check this site out too. They have gundams I haven't seen on amazon before. www.gundamplanet.com/

Brandon Cuevas RIP

arturo zaragoza for high quality I'd rather get MG and RG
First kit I made
Cool! Thank you.
Do a review on rg strike freedom!!

...why the Exclusive one? why not just get the one that came with the HG and give a Double-Review? is it the decals or something?
jabman is the man
Is all Rg gundam has skeleton parts

RG gundam sucks compare to all other grades it too soft n everything breaks aparts easily
+kageemo not all rg's. Some of them are rock solid.
My wings are so fragile guhh i hate it -_-
