I completely agree about the fact that you can stay as organized in a tiny space with little storage as you can in a huge space with lots of storage. It isn't about your storage; it is about your stuff and your organizational process/routines. I live in a tiny home- less than 600 square feet of living space. Videos like this help to keep me motivated. 💐💐
When putting fresh fruit/veggies in storage containers for the fridge, put a dry paper towel on the inside bottom of the container to keep the fruit/veggies fresh longer. You are amazing.
I love the smell of the Cascade dishwasher tabs. I'd love to have a pantry that would help with organizing. Yes I think we all have too many food storage containers and gadgets. I've always used the grocery bags as my bathroom trash bags. Great tips.
I also use the store plastic bags for bathroom trash cans. We also use then as liners for our dogs pooper scooper instead of buying the doggy bags. Line a small bucket with lid for cat litter box clumps and poop. Love your channel.
I wish I had your energy, I used too when I was younger lol. I love your channel, the info and ideas you share! One thing I would warn people about, read your oven owner manual before putting tinfoil in the bottom of the oven. It used to be common to do this but now there are many newer ovens that will cause pieces of the foil to fuse to the floor of the oven. This can negate your ovens warrantee.
i love this but ALSO think it's important to be okay with mess because life isn't always perfect. aim for this good, but welcome the mess because it is a sign of a happy home (when that is the case)
The dishwasher tabs smelled great. Thanx. This was chockabock full of useful tips! I employ several of them already (I probably learned some of them from you). But there were many I should start doing. I have a problem with recycling. So I appreciate your paper bag hack. Where I live we don’t have a recycling service or bins to use. We have to haul it to the center once a week. I have to wash everything I recycle so it doesn’t get smelly over a 6 day period. Thanks for making these tasks more enjoyable and inspiring. ❤❤
Thanks for all the tips. One thing I will do is get rid of my thousands of pots and pans . I will get the ones you had with the detachable handle. It will help me save tons of space.
@@MaryDecker-u3tOh, my sister has fibromyalgia. She’s 76 and had it all her life. Spends most of her time just lounging around. Never married/no kids either. You may want to check out Dr. Berg on UA-cam for fibromyalgia. He is spot on with all his videos. Just sharing!!😊
I learned the hard way not to put aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven because the it will stick to the new ovens. I put aluminum foil on my convection oven and it stuck 😂. I never got it off. The old ovens with the heating element showing you can but if you don’t see the element don’t do it. Aluminum foil will stick forever.
We had an appliance repair guy come out and tell us to NEVER do that as it ruins the ovens and is a current internet trend he hates with a passion, but he gets paid to fix it so he can't complain lol
I love all of your ideas, but I donot have a walk-in pantry. My pantry is co large no electricity so I have to leave toaster, coffeemaker small appliances on my counter top. Good job
AJ, cannot thank you enough for introducing me to Folex so many months ago. It is amazing for so many stains (laundry, rugs, no carpet in our home so can't comment on that one except for ca carpet ( great).
I call those white particles in the fridge under the milk cartion "milk dandruff" :). I keep a round rubber mat under the milk to keep the mess off of the shelf... much easier to clean.
I use the Clorox Bleach tablets...they are the size of a quarter. I put one in when I have a full load of dishes It disinfects my dishes and cleans my dishwasher so good and everything thing smells so nice in my dishwasher.
Andrea, do you have any tips on cleaning the oven racks and the rest of the oven. I’m in an apartment with a cheap stove that isn’t self-cleaning. It is these times I miss my home that had the best appliances EVER. Also one of these days, I wish you could do a home tour. Your home looks BEAUTIFUL. Love the monochrome theme.❤🎉❤
Will try these tips ones I don't all ready do. I LOVE your videos I LOVE how you make them funny, Always puts a 😂 smile on my face so THANK YOU Andrea-Jean!!!!
Great video. I am lucky to have my pots and pans in pull out drawers. I keep only enough that store individually with lids on and no stacking. 3 pans and 3 pots. Less really is more for me
Hey Andrea Jean. Great tips. I do try to multi task as I am cooking ect. I am recently decanting snacks, cookies ect. Packaging does take up loads of space. Love your energy can you share. Lol😊😊😊
Re your recycling bins…Keep your extra brown paper grocery bags folded up on the bottom of the trash can so there’s always one there for next time. Saves the extra steps into retrieving them from a seller closet. Re fruit storage…don’t use plastic storage. GLASS containers/jars will make produce last longer.
When we do shopping, I mainly unbox them then put into baskets, containers, so you know what you got and how many. Inventory cupboard/pantry items, so you know exactly what you have and what you need shopping day 😅😊
Thank you so much for all the great tips!! I have to have a clean kitchen! If my kitchen is a disaster, I feel like my whole house is a wreck!! And btw- really cute outfit you’re wearing!! Have a great week!!❤
We're getting ready to move. I am going room by room, closet by closet, drawer by drawer...you get the idea, and paring things down. Getting rid of stuff. Donating (a lot, lol) stuff. For many reasons, we are downsizing from a house to an apartment, so I really, really have to be intentional about everything. Great tips! Thanks!
Andrea Jean there’s no need to scrape your dishes just fill with hot water for 10 minutes every thing will easily come off pots & pans add dawn to hot water also The $ Tree has Estracell sponges that inhibit bacterial growth they’re awesome love your tips hope u like mine ❤️
Great tips!! Your house is gorgeous! One tip for the dishwasher before I run it I make a habit of getting that filter and making sure it’s rinsed. I simply rinse it with water and give it a nice scrub with the old sponge. I feel it might be connected to the garbage disposal somehow because I rinse my dishes before I put them in and that filter always seems to have chia seeds idk 🤷🏻♀️ Also I think I’m going to use the foil and fridge liners 😊
Love your videos soooo much!! So many great ideas and problem-solvers. However, it was recommended by some appliance guru (can't remember) to put aluminum foil on the bottom shelf to catch cheese goop. Putting foil on the bottom of the oven somehow doesn't keep the heat distributing properly and can damage the surface. Just sharing a trick I picked up. Love from Texas
I was looking for a comment like this! My oven has imprinted on it to not line with foil and I think it could also void the warranty if they seem the damage is done by it. I just put a sheet pan on the shelf below my pizza and line that with foil.
GE suggests to put a liner on the bottom rack and it should not touch the back or either edge. Also, not to put on the bottom of the stove, could melt the foil, heat reflects off the foil. They suggest to use a cookie sheet or shallow pan on lower rack or heat safe liner. ie Amazon.
There is a sponge on the market that NEVER smells, NEVER mildews and NEVER gets funky. There is a scrubby side that, when the design fades away, then you throw it away and pull out a new one. I won't have any other sponge in my house. They are also antimicrobial!
I live alone and need more food storage containers than that. I have two sizes- 1 cup and 2 cup Pyrex with lids. I have about 8 of each size. Why? Because I cook recipes at whatever number of servings they are written for (or even double it) and freeze them in individual portion sizes that I can reheat in either the microwave or oven.
Just fyi.. check your oven manual before putting foil on the bottom. I found out the hard way that it will melt the foil and bond it to the metal ☹️My manual clearly stated NOT to do that, but I never read it..
Girl Scout cookies, Boy Scout popcorn. Ugh. We don’t need more delicious cookies in our house. I used to buy 5 boxes, but now I just donate the $25 or $30 to the troop. Calorie free way to support our local Scouts! Ok. Maybe one box of Thin Mints
I would say that the shelf you keep your bowls on with your plates etc. should be slightly higher so that you don't have to bring your bowls out of the cupboard to put the rest of them away. I am not a professional but I just want to put them away ... having to put your bowls away like that is awkward....I have two Daughters in law and one has a huge kitchen and the other has a smaller disjointed kitchen but both are disorganized and the large one is very overloaded.
How do I organize a very deep kitchen drawer that holds our spatulas, measuring cups etc. etc. etc.?!? There is so much wasted space. I wish it were 2 drawers instead of 1 deep one.
