Very good explanation.. I have a question if you please, if I have an independent variable containing only two groups how can I get the subset for them ?
Hi, I want to compare the lipid levels taken at different time points for 3 times, i.e. individual patient with blood test taken three times at random dates. How can I compare the mean change of each lipid level for intervention 1 vs intervention 2? Please help me. I am very confused.
No matter what analysis I do in SPSS, no significance is reported. I don't know if I have my data in correctly though. I have 7 groups of participants, 25 questions in my survey, and I want to see if there's a difference in the means for each of the questions for each group. What do I do?
I'm trying to run a test using a variable, and spss tells me that I can not use "String Variables" . What can I do? Is there any email that I can contact you for help? in my project?
I had this issue too w my project and changed my variable to a numeric variable. You can see if it’s a string variable if you go into variable view. I think it should be the second row. I’m no expert but I hope this helps!
Hello there. I have a situation. I have two variables that are numeric and scale. I want to compare these two to see if they are having the same pattern or not in increasing or decreasing during the time (during 10 years that the years are the rows of my dataset). Can you help me with that? Which analysis can I use in SPSS fo this?
thank you for this great video. Would you mind help me with this question regarding the Independent samples t-test which has driven me nuts recently? Let's say I want to compare the income (IC) between male and female; and the component income consists of various types of income (IC1, IC2, IC3). Is it possible to compare IC with cumulated means of IC1, IC2 and IC3 (using independent t-test)? The video only mentions how to compare means of each items. Thank you very much.
Yes, you can calculate (as a new variable, say 'IC') the average (or some form of aggregate score) of IC1, IC2, IC3 using the compute function in SPSS (under 'Transform' tab). Then, run t-test on the newly calculated variable IC for mean comparisons between male and female.
Hi sir, please can you interpret the mean difference for me? I am struggling to understand its meaning, and it was a little rushed in the video. thank you
if we have comparison of public and private teachers then the sample of i took is 75 then the data entry is double 75 for public and 75 for private or just 75 data entries should be made for comparison of t-test
does all categories have enough observations? if one category has 2 or 3 observations, it will not provide any meaningful results. If sample conditions are fulfilled, proceed with ANOVA for 03 categories.
@@timf6969 May this is how we learn new things, that is, coding dichotomous variables using 1 and 0 helps us using them in dummy variable regression setting without any further transformation!

One of the most detailed and helpful guide on explaining this stuff 👍
Thanks Research Hub, I was searching for such a video, finally I got.
Thank you! Please subscribe to our channel and share the video with your friends and colleagues.
Thank you for teaching this so well.. i really needed explanation for my project.
You are a great teacher/lecturer. I love such precision of concepts in your explanation
Thank you Muli.
Thank you for the thorough explanation
Such a clear voice and understanding. Its really a nice one for this topic because I have seen lots of videos about it.

this is an excellent video on comparison tests
Thank you sir! this really helped me understand T test.

Excellent description. Thanks
Thank you. Please share with your students and colleagues.
thank u so much you explain every thing very clearly this is the best video for explaining the differences between groups
exactly
Good explanation! Thank you very much!
Its great 👍 voice is clear and explanation is awesome 😊
Really?
Wonderfully explained
Was here to know how to do for more than 2
Great explanation 👍manyyyyyyy manyyyyyy thanks
Thanks
superb presentation . well done. full marks.
Thank you very much, very informative and straight forward!

When there is more than 2 category like ses or race then what we need to do?
amazing!

One factor repeated ANOVA or Friedman test. see ua-cam.com/video/9-Y6wIMxExI/v-deo.html

you need to run correlation, see ua-cam.com/video/6MFtkLioZ6Y/v-deo.html
How do you do anova when there is 9 independent variables and 1 dependent variable in the analysis?
In that case, you should consider a regression model. See ua-cam.com/video/aMKUknsb11c/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/i8tjLQUPc8Y/v-deo.html
Can we do that in Excel ?

How can I compare means between two groups with more than two dependent variables? Should I just run multiple independent T-test?

Would it be possible to have mean comparison across ordinal variables? I have a survey 5 points linker scale.
Yes, go ahead.
What does sig T and B’s value mean in the regression results?
How to use superscript in t test result?
How to denote significant difference in multiple comparision. Such as codeing a, b,ab, c,abc .
you will need to do ANOVA post-hoc tests, see ua-cam.com/video/tcaAJX4MRmw/v-deo.html
How to find significance diffrence between 2 values

Could you please help me with my research?
You didn't tell us about the method of two different groups, if they are statistically different.
Could you please help me with my research sir?
what kind of help? can you provide detail.
Please may I leave a question here regarding to Anova test ?

When i have yes and no and can't say question, which test should I apply?
chi-square test many be used, see ua-cam.com/video/dcKZ1FlEidQ/v-deo.html

Don't we want to test the normality before performing a t test? In both one sample, independent samples cases..
yes, that is a recommended. see how to check normality at ua-cam.com/video/DhySnPB1afQ/v-deo.html
Kindly give a answer...
What if classical mean differential test.
hi, what do you mean actually? can you please elaborate.
please use 1 for males and 2 for females - very confusing when using 0 as a variable
Hi, I recommend using 1 and 0. Otherwise, later, you will have to convert the "2" to "0" incase you run a dummy variable regression.
@@RESEARCHHUB but most scripting tools use 1 and 2, they never use 0 as a variable
