Cannot thank you enough I have been struggling with this for two days. Taking online statistics is a bad idea, but you made it very logical and now I understand. Thank you thank you thank you! ❤️
Most explanations of P-Value on UA-cam are not clear at all. Some do not include the alpha threshold for the interpretation of the P-value. They also explain that the 5% shows that there is only a 5% chance of rejecting the null hypothesis. This is the best and clearer explanation out there❤
this is the video tutorial where my concept has been cleared on P-value, TYPE I & II error, Level of significance, and 3 Test. Thank for sharing the video.
Realized I failed my stats midterm because I didn’t properly understand these key concepts. This video clarified so much! Hopefully the next midterm goes better. Thank you for your clear, concise explanations
I can’t thank you enough for this exceptional video. All the doubts in my mind about p-value, statistical significance and the Ho cleared. You are god sent!
With much gratitude, I thank you for succinctly explaining p-values, stat significance. I've been struggling for days and am thankful this video popped up in my feed.
Hi there, I'm completing a research class in my NP curriculum and you've pretty much summed up 3 chapters in a nicely explained 16 min. video. Honestly, statistics is such an abstract topic, but you've managed to clearly explain and correlate concepts in a very logical and understandable way. I will be referencing your video in some of my discussion boards. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Great job!
Very informative video. I had this in grad school a LONG time ago and this was a good refresher. It helps me to be certain of how poorly informed (ignorant) some folks I know are.
This is crystal-clear. Thank you! A lot of us are using this for machine learning to hasten the Technological Singularity. Make sure you're all paying attention and keeping your politicians in check! This can turn out to be a utopia or a nightmare for humanity. Good luck, everyone, and I'll see you on the other side!
Jesus! So far, the most explicit but in a simplest way to explain these difficult stuff which enables me finally start to understand more about all these tough concepts! Thanks!
This is great! I am in mental health and the way you explained it in clinical terms was so helpful! I will be passing this on to my son as he will be attending med school soon. Thank you!
You must know that I spent a whole 5week period trying to understand these concepts, getting overly frustrated because none would explain this in a crystal manner as you did. Finally, I get it. Tutors like you are worth receiving funds to get this presented elaborately as you just did here. my goodness, I'm liberated!!!!!!!!! Thank you a mammoth!
Thank you so much for breaking biostats down in a much simpler way for me to understand. I have my exam in 3 weeks and was freaking out terribly behind these concepts. You're a lifesaver!
Very helpful for beginners you explain it with simple words which makes the difference. Thank you for using the correct type of communication which is SIMPLE WORDS and giving examples right away helps understand the material a lot. Thank you.
One thing that I would point out is that a p > 0.05 DOES NOT mean that there is "no statistically significant difference" (see 10:09). It only means that we cannot tell if there is a statistically significant difference.
Thank you! This helped in a much clearer fashion! I don't know why people can't explain this stuff simply for those of us who aren't trying to become a statistician.
Thank you for this amazing video! I had sat in on my stats lecture a few weeks back and was mildly panicking because I didn’t understand Type I/II errors and why alphas and betas were popping up. I’ve understood more in this 15 minute video than in my whole 2.5 hour stats lecture.
OMG!!!! Where have you been! You just simplified the Null and Type 1 and 2 Error! THANK YOU. I have placed you in my favorites!!!! Keep up the great work for people like me. :)
You really saved me. you cleared almost all of my confusion this whole semester with this video alone, would like to see more research statistics explanations like this one.
Understood things make easier to understand others...I am very thankful to him for such a nice presentation. But one thing which I am unable to hear correctly is the name of two groups when compared. If any one please write the two groups being compared...
Thanks for the explanation! you made it way more simple for me to interpret the differences in p-value and alpha in my data from my 1st ANOVA study I did for school.
EXCELLENT VIDEO, very good presentation, easy to follow and understand; you helped me so much for Nursing Research statistics and data analysis class; I will check out your other videos also. thank you again
hello, thank you for making things lighter and comprehensible in a nut shell compared to the actual review center discussions which i find it chaotic and informaton overloaded. really big big help in my self studies.. keep up the goodwork guys! you're amazing!
Miss do you know how to calculate Can u please calculate for me Tomorrow I have to submit my project i don't know how to calculate I can't focused at all my hands are shaking 😭
I still have issues understanding the p-value. If it is, as you said 7:02 then having a high p-value, therefore a high probability that we will again get a difference of 20 between the two groups, would that no indicate, that there is a difference and therefore the groups are not the same? Why does a low probability for a difference indicates that they're not the same?
You are highly realistic. After my retirement I have completed my Ph.D only with the you tube statistics. I think you want to learn more statistics. My revered you tube professors are Pat Obai, Toad Grande, Balasubramaniam you also refer them. My blesses
Hi there...really enjoyed the video and helped me in understanding these concepts better, so thank you! I clicked on the black box in the end (watching from computer), but it does not go to another video, it only pauses and plays the current video. Thank you again for this great tutorial!
Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "learning powerful methods to build your Chi energy" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Fellmeroni Rudimentary Chi - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.
Your videos helped me straighten out a semester's worth of statistics; I definitely feel like I have the terms more organized and I'll be better prepared for my exam today
It is true scientists have a personal bias for their alternative hypotheses. But, one of my professors taught me an important lesson when examining results. That is, even if we don't end up having enough evidence to reject the null, we still learn something. "The truth is always more interesting than the hypothesis," he said.
most important information for me was understanding the meaning of p-value, because I thought rejection the null hypothesis meant automatically the alternative , but I can now see that is only a measure of how compatible our data with the null Hypo.
thank you, this is very well explained. Explaining stats in plain english must be very tricky, eg the constant use of double negatives in explaining stats, eg in explaining type 1 and type 2 errors can lead to misunderstandings.
Thank you very much for this. It's very useful. No studying in the US but statistics are, of course, the same everywhere, and exams likely ask similar questions. Keep it up :)
Thank you so much for posting this video! This and your other videos are helping me understand the biostats concepts in my Evidence Based Nursing class!

can't thank you enough! one of the only videos out there that puts it in a health services research/biostats context, appreciate it!
With much gratitude, I thank you for succinctly explaining p-values, stat significance. I've been struggling for days and am thankful this video popped up in my feed.

You just explained in 15 minutes what my professor couldn't get across in 6 hours of lecturing. Posting this link to my class discussion forum!

It is probably the best video explaining Null Hypothesis, P Value and their interaction plainly. Great Work!! Many Thanks
I watched at tons of video prior to this and still not sure what is going on, until I found this. Thank You! much appreciated!

Very broad, very deep, very mountainously great method of teaching...reminds me of the song River Deep, Mountain High
thank you you've helped me a lot , now i just understood the whole concept
Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "learning powerful methods to build your Chi energy" for a while now, and I think this has helped.
